What changes to classic mode would you guys like to see?
I'd like this change to both Sora and Kazuya's Classic Modes, for them to not exist in the first place.

I would change Sonic's Classic Route to be Let's Brawl where he would fight characters that debut in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
1st Battle: Pit, Meta Knight & King DeDeDe on Green Hill
2nd Battle: Rob, Pokemon Trainer & Lucario on Mushroomy Kingdom
3rd Battle: Diddy Kong, Lucas & Ike on New Pork City
4th Battle: Snake, Toon Link & Wolf on Pirate Ship
5th Battle: Little Mac (Assist Trophy turned Fighter in SSB4) & Ridley (Boss Battle turned Fighter in SSBU) with the Waluigi Assist Trophy turned on
Boss Battle: Galeum with Wario & Olimar as allies
I would change Mewtwo’s Classic mode (keep the stages and music):
Battle 1: vs x2 Lucas (1 with regular colors and 1 with Claus’s colors)
Battle 2: (with Lucas) vs Cloud
Battle 3: (with Cloud) vs Ryu and Ken
Battle 4: (replace Ken with Ryu due to Evil Ryu) vs Richter
Battle 5: (with Richter) vs Palutena and Pit
Battle 6: (replace Pit with Palutena (due to her mind control in “Uprising” and Mewtwo’s control over Nurse Joy in “Pokémon the First Movie” and it’s CGI remake)) vs Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu, and Lucario (referencing Ash Ketchum who faced Mewtwo in “Pokémon the First Movie,” it’s CGI remake, “Mewtwo Returns,” and “Pokémon Journeys”)
Final Boss: (with Pikachu) vs Ganondorf/Ganon (referencing Giovanni, then Giovanni being corrupted by the Reveal Glass in "Pokémon Black and White: Rival Destinies") with Mii Brawlers (1 male with purple hair and 1 female with red hair with Team Rocket outfits (referencing Jessie and James) and 1 with cat suit (referencing Meowth)) (replacing Master and Crazy Hand)
Love that Byleth's route is just them attacking children.

In Rosalina's route, Starfy is the only Assist Trophy that shows up. So yeah, it's possible in theory, then again I don't know a lot about modding. Good video btw!
Also Young Link's route has only Assist Trophies from the Legend of Zelda
series. So it's definitely possible only idk how to mod and it probably requires something more technical through the item spawning.
I dove into the files and based on what strictly determines each battle I couldn’t find a way to mirror how Rosalina/Young Link’s route handles assists :/ I suspect there is separate data elsewhere that would allow it to work
@@Aaronitmar maybe it works similar to the item probability ruleset (how likely an item is to spawn) and how you summon a specific Assist Trophy character in Training Mode.
For example, the only items that spawn in Rosa's route are star-like items and the Assist Trophy. The Assist Trophy itself has only Starfy active and everyone else deactivated. Meanwhile, Young Link's route has Minda, the Moon, Skullkid, and Ghirahim as activated and every other Assist Trophy deactivated.
This problem works similar to how you can't summon some Assist Trophies in certain stages (like Alucard in the Wii Fit stage because of the mirrors, or the Moon on Great Bay because it's already in the background)

@@chamtheman551 The funny thing is in the file that handles the items, all of what you said is true. Rosalina specifically has the star items enabled, for example. But it only turns on the general item Assist Trophy, so it doesn't specify *just* Starfy, it's very strange, and I've yet to find anywhere that handles it.

I think an interesting change could be made to Sonic’s, in which there are 6 stages in Sonic 1 (Green Hill, Marble, Spring Yard, Labyrinth, Starlight and Scrap Brain), and of course 6 fights before the final one in Classic mode, so each arena could reference each stage, with Green Hill being obviously easiest to add. Not sure what the fights themselves could be, but maybe him fighting robotic characters in each stage, with animal characters working as partners, as a nod to him saving animals. I also think it could end with a giant Roy Koopa, as a nice reference to Eggman. Just a quick head canon there
Or make Galleom as the final round instead
I love the idea. The fights could reference villains throughout the series on STH1's stages.
Fight 1: Mii Brawler (Knuckles outfit) on Green Hill Zone: Knuckles started out as a villain.
Fight 2: Metal Sonic on Arena Ferox: Metal Sonic obviously references Metal Sonic. Arena Ferox has some marble pillars.
Fight 3: Cyan Inkling on Mushroom Kingdom: Chaos from Adventure. Mushroom Kingdom at sunrise would have some very similar aesthetics to Spring Yard.
Fight 4: Black Sonic on Great Bay: Y'know I had to put Shadow in here. Great Bay has lots of water like Labyrinth.
Fight 5: Green Falco, Pink Falcon, & yellow bike Wario on Spear Pillar: The Babylon Rogues. Spear Pillar is kinda green and it's night and sometimes tilts.
Fight 6: Red Incin, green ZSS, & whatever 4 others are good on Midgar: The deadly six. Midgar is a clear choice for Scrap Brain.
Final Fight: Giant Roy Koopa on Shadow Moses Island: It's Dr Eggman in Final Zone
You could also have an ally in each fight: 1] yellow Fox (Tails) 2] purple Daisy (Amy helping with Metal makes too much sense), 3] Knuckles Mii (he became good) 4] white Sonic (Silver also fought Shadow), 5] pink Robin (I had to put Blaze in here), 6] Roy Koopa (Eggman helped fight the Zeti), Final] yellow Fox and Knuckles Mii (this doesn't need explanation)

The unfortunate flaw with a lot of these route ideas is that DLC fighters are used as opponents, which you may notice no routes use at all. Only base game fighters are used as opponents in Classic Mode.
With the exception of Terry facing off against himself, Ryu, and Ken at the end of his route, yeah... literally none of the DLC characters fight other DLC characters.
It's unfortunate, but it makes sense. What if you got one DLC fighter, but not another? There has to be flexibility in those areas.

It doesn't matter if you haven't purchased them. With every update, they were added to your game, so other players that have purchased them can use them against you.
The only difference is that they don't appear in the selection screen, so YOU can not use them.
(The same with their stages, music, etc.)
I like to imagine these routes as a "what if ultimate got a deluxe edition where DLC fighters and stages are part of the base game?"
A better version of Mario’s route would have him fighting third parties instead of Nintendo characters
Round 1: Snake and Simon (Konami)
Round 2: Sonic, Bayonetta, and Joker (Sega)
Round 3: Mega Man and Ryu (Capcom)
Round 4: PAC-MAN and Kazuya (Bandai)
Round 5: Cloud, Hero, and Sora (Square Enix)
Round 6: Banjo and Steve (Microsoft)
Boss: Giga Bowser (Yes I know he’s Nintendo but Mario needs to fight him)
Umm, Round 6 cannot work because they are DLC. If you lack the DLC, what would you fight?.
So round 2,4, and 5 won't work either since they also use dlc

@@hiilikepizza3197 The thing is that if they had DLC characters then the players that lack said DLC wouldn't be able to do said routes.
Also, Ken and Richter wouldn't be able to fix anything because both Capcom and Konami have their own round.

My idea for Sora would have not only a Duck Hunt ally, but an additional hero from any given series teamed up against their respective villains. Mario joins the party against Bowser, Link joins against Ganondorf, etc.
This would mimic the structure of Sora, Donald, and Goofy traveling to different worlds, joining with their protagonists, and beating up their villains with them. Maybe you could have a heartless horde in one of the battles, with various shadow-skinned characters.

I like Byleth's route, especially for the final boss part, because it also references how you can recruit students from other houses to join you to fight in the war, which in this case means you beat them up so they can join you fighting two giant hands
I personally would like to see Joker’s classic mode to be more in line with the story of Vanilla Persona 5 rather then reference P3, 4 and 5 all at once. Yes, I know the Incineroar fight is meant to reference Shido. If I were doing the Classic Mode route, I’d also have Joker have allies to fight against giant versions of regular fighters.
Below is how I would’ve done things. The six initial fights reference six of the seven palaces, while I moved the Incineroar fight to be at the end. Here’s how I would have it play out: *Also… Vanilla P5 Spoilers*
- *Fight 1:* Based on the Castle of Lust, the allies would be Pikachu Libre, Black Alt Captain Falcon and Red Alt Zero Suit Samus *(referencing Morgana, Ryuji and Ann)* against a giant red male Wii Fit Trainer to reference Kamoshida on Castle Siege.
- *Fight 2:* Based on the Museum of Vanity, the ally would be Black Alt Chrom to reference Yusuke and the fight is against a giant gold King Dedede to reference Madarame on Suzaku Castle.
- *Fight 3:* Based on the Bank of Gluttony, the ally would be Black Alt Shiek to reference Makoto and the fight is against two enemies this time: A normal sized green Wario to reference Kaneshiro and a giant metal gray Kirby to reference the giant piggy bank vault thing on Dracula’s Castle.
- *Fight 4:* Based on the Pyramid of Wrath, the ally would be an Orange Inkling to reference Futaba and the fight is against a giant Bayonetta to reference Cognitive Wakaba on Mushroomy Kingdom’s battlefield variant. I would also have the Willy Capsule assist here to reference Futaba’s Persona, Necronomicon.
- *Fight 5:* Based on the Spaceport of Greed, the ally would be a pink Villager to reference Haru and the fight is a horde battle against a various tiny ROBs and the final fighter is a normal sized Black Alt Samus to reference Okumura on Omega Midgar.
- *Fight 6:* Based on the Casino of Envy, the ally would be a Joker in his Crow Alt as an obvious reference to Akechi and the fight is against a giant brown Alt Dark Samus with a Killing Edge equipped to reference Shadow Sae on Omega Fourside.
- *Fight 7 and Final Fight:* Based on the Cruiser of Pride and it’s against the aforementioned Incineroar referencing Shido. However, before that you would have to fight the Crow alt Joker referencing Akechi’s boss fight and then the Incineroar spawns. There are two allies and they reference Personas, the turquoise Fierce Deity Link referencing Yoshitsune can stay but I would also include a blue Peach to reference Alice. Both of these Personas reference the Personas Joker used against Shido in the anime adaption. The stage itself would be Final Destination.

That's super clever. One suggestion tho during the Sae fight maybe before the Dark Samus comes out you can fight a black alt Zero Suit Samus to reference Shadow Sae's form before the robotic monstrosity she becomes

My biggest issue with smash ultimate’s classic mode is how short each route is and the lack of some variety could be an issue for some as it’s the same route each time with one character with no variation (and I mean if you choose the same character then it’s the same route)
Plus lack of mini game variety is also a big issue as it’s the same running one each time
I wish so badly there was a randomized Classic Mode so you weren't stuck with the same matchups if you only pick your main, even Smash Wii U was better at that
This was one of my biggest issues with ults classic mode and tbh it along with a lot of other things really just brings the game down for me
Not just the lack of variety in fights but even difficulty. People who enjoy difficulties over 5.0 have to sit through joke fights. People who can't play above 5.0 have to start at 1.0 to enjoy the mode.
Not to mention difficulty is also based on match ups, some characters get harder fights then others.
It is arguably the worst classic mode just from how it alienates everyone.

I've had a similar idea for Pokémon trainer, but limited it to the Pokémon league instead of randomly stopping by each gym that can be adapted.
Fight 1: a horde of pokémon on the great cave offensive, referencing Victory Road. Has the appropriate music to help make it more obvious.
Fight 2: Zero Suit Samus and the Ice climbers to reference Lorelei and her ice types.
Fight 3: Ryu and Lucario to reference Bruno and his fighting types.
Fight 4: There's no old lady on the roster, so I chose Zelda using her white-haired alt, along with Kirby using his black alt to reference Agatha and her Ghost Types (specifically Gastly)
Fight 5: Marth and ridley to reference Lance and his Dragon Types.
Fight 6: opposite gender Pokémon trainer to serve as the champion.
and then the boss stays the same, mewtwo followed by Master Hand, referencing the battle which is unlocked after the league.
Also, since I have a vendetta against uneven fights in classic modes, Pikachu will be your ally for the whole route. I guess fight 6 can also add a Pichu to properly mirror your team.

I love the Byleth one, however the final boss could have Rathalos as a stand in for the final boss in Crimson Flower and Silver Snow with the Apex of the World playing in the background. Aside from that, it’s pretty accurate since it could also represent Byleth aggressively recruiting students from other houses.
Edit: Also why is Marth the only Fire Emblem character to fight Rathalos? It’s practically a meme that the final boss on almost every Fire Emblem game is a dragon.
Not a bad selection. For me I would change Lucina's classic mode to include smashers that traveled through time (Link and young link) and kept Byleth's route the same.
I totally agree with Greninja's route on having Piranha plant be with Ivysaur.
While I thought of something else for ROB, your idea worked great (the only change I'd make is make ganondorf the sole final boss)
Your idea for Sora is great.
As for the pokemon trainer, I went with the squad strike matchup with non-fighting characters. (But your plan works too)
For Sephiroth I would only have Cloud as the final opponent.
Really good job overall!
Some tweaks I could see:
-instead of bowser jr. and young link, have Byleth fight all of Bowser's kids as a horde.
-Since he's a subspace boss, maybe use Galleom for ROB's final battle?
-Have PKMN trainer's subspace focus on the elite four, with fights based around each member and the journey there. Those would be:
1. A battle in a cave stage with a horde of miis, for Victory Road. Give them more animal-themed costumes.
2. A battle on pokemon stadium 2's ice transformation, against ice climbers and greninja. Referencing Lorelei.
3. Boxing ring, against little mac and Ryu. Put in grey k. Rool too to reference Bruno's onix.
4. Luigi's Mansion, against dark samus, simon and bayonetta, for Agatha. Not a lot of "ghostly" characters in smash, but I did what I could.
5. Same Dragon idea from the video, maybe minus the Dragonborn
6. To reference the champion fight, Battle an opposing pokemon trainer, alongside falco, zelda and k.rool to reference his pidgeot, alakazam and rhydon respectively. This can be on main pokemon stadium.
7. Final Boss is still mewtwo, as you can only access mewtwo once you become champion
Well, in the case of Bowser Jr., it makes even more sense when you remember one of his lines in Mario + Rabbids says that he finished most of his homework.
Another way you could approach a Pokemon route would be to pair each enemy pokemon with a similar non-Pokemon fighter, as if they're its trainer. Like, Ken with Incineroar, Ryu with Lucario, Sheik with Greninja, Ness/Snake with Mewtwo, etc.
The only thing I would change that you did is the final fight with Sephiroth against Cloud and the FF7 Miis. Specifically, I would make it so Cloud is the last fighter, because Cloud is also the last person Sephiroth fights in FF7, AND it feels a bit anticlimactic to end the fight on a Mii of all things.
Yeah in retrospect that is a better ending, I realized it too while editing but it was a little too late to go back and change everything

An additional thing in Byleth’s route, have them parter with Robin, prioritizing tomes, against pit
This is how I would recreate Falco's classic route:
"Melee sized adventure" (name pending)
Round 1: vs. Peach and Mario in Peach's Castle.
Round 2: vs. Zelda and Sheik in Temple.
Round 3: vs. A team of Kirbys in Green Greens.
Round 4: vs. A team of Pikachus, Pichus and Jigglypuffs in Pokemon Stadium (the only item for this round are Poke Balls).
Round 5: vs. 3 Ness in Onett.
Round 6: vs. Metal Mario and Metal Luigi in the Battlefield form of Final Destination.
Boss: Giga Bowser.
i love the changes you did for these routes, not only they're an improvement over the originals but also better thought out than the previous video. Love them! (also yeah is odd that they didn't retrofit the Routes, they did for certain Spirits)
yeah the lack of DLC BossRush was such a missed opportunity.
Snake Classic Mode that mimics the Shadow Moses Incident
1. Mii Gunner - Revolver Ocelot

I had a different way of fixing Byleth's classic route that still works with a similar theme
Instead of fighting against all Fire Emblem characters, you fight alongside all Fire Emblem characters.
...I must admit to not having the opponents thought out all that well, but you can mostly just reference their classic routes. dragons for Marth, knights using their black alt for Ike, a few swordsmen for roy, etc. This doesn't work too well with Chrom and Lucina though...
- For Chrom: A Reddish Bowser (in representation of Kamuz [from The Legend of Valkyrie]), Bayonetta (in representation of Saya) and a Black Sheik wearing a Bunny Hood (in representation of Sheath) as a reference to Project XZone 2 (another crossover game they were part of).
- For Lucina: Two Robins (a Male and a Female) and a Ridley (in representation of Grima). You also have an ally Chrom.
I would've loved to see a mii classic mode where you can create your own route for each Mii you make.
Falco's should be vs sidekicks/2nd Bananas/Henchmen
1 Daisy-common character in secondary/sports games
2 Isabelle-assistant to Tom Nook in ACNH
3 Meta Knight/Dedede-partner characters in some Kirby games like Return to Dream Land
4 Diddy Kong-DK's partner in DKC games
5 Bowser Jr-Bowser's lackey
6 Luigi-OG Player 2
For my Classic Mode Change, I'd overhaul Sora's. I do think what it is now is fits perfectly, but I feel it could better represent Kingdom Hearts, so here's my idea:
The title is "My Friends are my Power", and it has Sora and Duck Hunt (Donald and Goofy) team up with various heroes to face off against the villains of their franchise, with each villain being powered up in someway (as if they were corrupted by Darkness). Not only does this reference the Disney worlds, the villains getting corrupted by darkness, and how you often get party members in each one, it also references Ultimate's theme itself of "Heroes and Villains", tying up the final DLC with a cute lil bow.
Fight 1 teams you up with Fox to fight Wolf.
Fight 2, you're with Samus to fight Ridley or Dark Samus.
Fight 3, you're teamed up with Kirby (and King Dedede?) to fight Marx.
Fight 4, you team up with Link and Zelda to fight a stronger Ganon.
Fight 5 teams up with Mario and Luigi to fight a stronger Giga Bowser.
Fight 6, it ends with you teaming up with Cloud to fight Sephiroth, but Duck Hunt is gone for this fight.
The final battle, you fight a Suped-Up Master Hand and Crazy Hand while teamed up with Duck Hunt, Mario, Link, and Kirby.
Not really Sora face Sephiroth alone in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 without any help so no Cloud in his fight.
@@Twilight17Petkoton But then it takes away from the whole theme of this classic mode, working alongside friends. Is it more accurate to have Sora fight Sephiroth alone? Absolutely, but it goes against the theme of the rest of the classic mode, plus I wasn't trying to recreate the games' scenarios, just the theme.

That "Ancient Minister" route is nuts! so much Subspace Emissary nostalgia
I have an idea for Fox: We only change the 6th fight. It’s against Wolf, but I was thinking about something… Why we wouldn’t add the characters that represent Fox’s teammates and the ones of Wolf in Star Fox 64? In the original game, when Star Wolf comes, Fox fights the team with his friends. Why only the leaders are fighting?! Adding Greninja (Slippy), King Dedede (Peppy), Falco, Yoshi (Leon), Wario (Pigma) and Diddy Kong (Andrew) would be amazing! (+ Fox would still end up being alone against the Hands (Andross), as a reference to how Fox fights Andross alone to protect Falco, Slippy and Peppy.)
"Hey, Hands, Leave these kids alone!" said Byleth, commanding their students to fight.
wouldve been nice if sephiroths final boss was galeem (even if thats unrealistic), wouldve been a fantastic callback to his reveal trailer

The Byleth one was pretty clever.
I looooooove the concept of Byleth's route. Not only it takes into account he's a teacher, but also includes the "Recruit" mechanic that Fire Emblem is known for. I know the og route could've gone for that too, but here is more noticiable and not just a team up to defeat a greater boss.

Sephiroth's final round was the best. What a great twist to end a boss rush!! You are the final boss!!

It's a route where richter takes on anyone who wielded the vampire killer in any of the castlevania games before and after the events of symphony of the night

Snakes classic mode could be changed into the actual boss fights from MGS1, starting with Fox as Revolver Ocelot (like in World of Light), Sheik as the Cyborg Ninja, Mewtwo obviously Psycho Mantis, Rosalina as Sniper Wolf, maybe Ganondorf or another heavy fighter as Vulcan Raven, and here's where we twist things a little, a fight against the other Snakes, Tiger Stripe Snake as Big Boss (MGS3), Wolf as Solidus Snake (MGS2) and Ken as Liquid Snake (MGS1), then the Galleom fight of course, but with male Corrin as an assistant to represent Raiden (from MGS2)
I always had the hope that as a extra special bonus, once all the DLC was out they would add an update where you can choose to do any route with any character, provided you first cleared the original route
And for Byleth's route I don't know, I think after Inklings the concept becomes kind of a stretch, since their main thing is their different weapons I would've gone with fighters who have a diverse arsenal of tools/equipment:
The Links, Snake, Inkling, Villager & Isabelle, K.Rool, Bowser Jr, The Pits etc. Even Shulk, he only has the monado but it can "transform" like Byleth's weapon treasure things (I dunno, I only played the GBA fire emblem and got bored)
The use of the pictochat stage in Byleths route is a clear reference to children using pictochat in school instead of learning.

*Ness:* Giant Mewtwo on Onett omega form (replicating Giygas' 1st form)

i think that richter classic mode could use some change. The theme could be "The Wip's memory", and it would see Richter against all of the mainline belmonts/castlevania protagonists in stamina battles. For the first one, a battle against a richter with Leon's alt (the white and red one) with "Lament of innocence" as the song amd castle siege as the stage. Next a battle against a simon with his yellow alt, a Zelda with the blue alt and a red shiek (and alucard as an assist if it works) to reference Trevor's party in Castlevania III with beginning in the background and dracula's castle as the stage. After that, a battle against Simon Belmont with "Simon Belmont theme" from super Castlevania IV with reset bomb as the stage, then a battle against a richter with the red alt and a yellow alt Chrom to reference Juste Belmont and Maxim with awake in the background (to reference another gba castlevania game) and kalos league as the stage. After that a battle against a mii sword fighter with a black pirate suite and blonde long hairs to match Alcuard's appereance and a green alt palutena to reference Maria, and the tragic prince as a music and unova league as the stage. After that a battle against a red alt Richter and a blue alt zelda in spear pillar with "ripped silence" as the music, to reference the battle against richter you need to take in order to use the vampire killer in Portrait of ruin. After that a battle against a richter with the yellow alt to reference Julius belmon, with "heart of fire" as background music and bridge of eldin as the stage. Lastly, replacing Dracula, a battle against a Richter with the dark blue alt, in dracula's castle and with divine bloodlines as the background song, to reference his battle in Symphony of the night, with alucard's assist trophy and smash balls as the only item spawning to make it more accurate. I'd like to see a Game and Watch classic mode that focuses entirely on handheld history rather than general gaming. We have Pac-Man for that and Game and Watch is important to handheld gaming in particular.

He’d fight characters with a parent-child relationship, but he would only need to kill the character that represents the parent.
Chrom and Lucina, Pikachu and Pichu, Dr. Mario (representing Dr. Light) and Megaman, Heihachi (Mii fighter) and Kazuya, Rosalina and Luma, and Giga Bowser and Bowser Jr. The final battle would, of course, be against Samus with the Metroid assist trophy.
About the assist trophy thing with byleth, it is possible, as in ness' classic mode, only jeff and starman will appear
Fun fact: Disney didn't have any shenanigans at all, it was Nomura and Sakurai himself the ones who limited the Disney part of Sora

Here's my idea for Ken. I saw the last video and while I respect the idea, I think this one would fit a bit better:
Go Home and be a Family Man (a quote from Guile from SF2 and the fact that Ken is father to his son Mel).
Ken would fight every character on the roster that is cannonically a dad in game. (so no Fox as he only becomes a dad during one ending of Star Fox Command, a game we still want to purge from our minds).

Something I noticed in the menu of Smash Ultimate, is that the picture they use for the tips menu feels outdated now that Byleth is in the game. It shows Robin teaching a group of kids, which worked well enough for the time, but it feels wrong now that there is someone in the game whose job is teaching children. I guess it still KIND OF works, because Robin is a tactician, but still, Byleth fits there so much better.
One main change I would add across the board is add in more assist trophies act as Bosses. Considering there are spirit matches where taking fighting a specific assist trophy is an objective, it should be within the teams tools to do this if they thought of it.
Considering Smash Ultimate is the first game where Assist trophies can be knocked out it would feel pretty cool to have specific dedicated rounds to fight some of them.
Adding the Black Knight & Mother Brain Assist Trophies in particular feels like they can really spice up some routes.
For sephiroths fight against the mii, i think it would make more sense to start with aerith...

Sonic should fight Galleom (however it’s spelled). The hand thing kind of makes sense since he’s fought Eldritch horrors before, but Sonic’s main big bad is eggman. There are far more instances of him taking down big mechanical robots.
It would also be cool to see a Snake route either based on the game MGS1 or just a highlight of iconic fights throughout the series (The Boss, Liquid, Ocelot in MGS4, etc). Snake’s classic mode theme was a lot of fun, but I think it would be cool to see this too. His original classic mode final boss can remain the same or serve as a penultimate depending

Having bowser Jr in Byleth's route actually works, in Mario+ Rabbids kingdom battle while on the phone with his dad junior says he finished his homework well most of it,Implying he goes to some kind of school
falco's classic mode was pretty lame. it was "soar above the darkness", and he fights dark characters. not only does it have nothing to do with falco as a character, but it was already done by other characters. instead, his classic mode should have been called "personally, I prefer the air", referencing his line in brawl, which it's self is a reference to star fox 64. in this route, all of falco's opponents would have wings and all the stages would take place high in the sky. he could fight pit and dark pit in skyworld, metaknight on the halberd, charizard on pokemon stadium 2's flight variant, duck hunt on pilot wings, ridley on corneria, then team up with fox and fight wolf on venom as a reference to star fox 64. and then the boss is rathalos, because rathalos has wings.
Bayonetta's route already covers the winged characters theme.

I totally agree on what you said for the sephiroth final battle rework, however I also thought sephiroth could have as a full route of fighting off lab rats/abominations (Mewtwo, dark samus, meta ridley + a fight with a bunch of doctor Mario's as to make it seem like a science development team) and make it be called "Project JS training sim". That is my idea for the sephiroth rework route

In terms of changes I'd implement, I'd make Wario's final fight a Dr. Mario 64 reference where he fights Dr. Mario who becomes Metal Dr. Mario upon being KO'd and the same goes for Dr. Mario where he fights Wario who soon transitions into a fight against Dracula, referencing Vampire Wario. For Sonic, I'd make his final fight against Galleom since it's the closest to a mech Eggman would use against him and perhaps the Assist Trophies can be Knuckles & Shadow as well. Finally, if I could change Fox's final battle, I'd make it a Giant Green Charizard as a reference to his Subspace fight against Rayquaza or a 2 on 2 where he and Falco fight against Bowser and Giant Diddy Kong.
If we didn't use the dlc content my idea for Pokemon trainer would be to incorporate the legendary birds. This would be a 3 on 1 featuring 3 falco's or 3 king dedede's in there respective colors

I have a few ideas i had in mind for classic mode ideas. One was Fighting a giant Enderman in the Dive into the Heart Section with tiny Mr. Game and Watches with Fragments of Sorrow, referencing The beginning segment to The original Kingdom Heart tutorial.
Another was for Terry,a route based on his arcade run in the first Fatal Fury,with some ideas that plays on some of the later FF games. However given the set up,I couldn't make the order be exact with the actual run since we don't have all the tracks. But I can try to make it fit as a Fatal Fury Run. The Route of the name being called "Hey, Come On!" "Fatally Furious" Or "Let's Go to South Town".

Can I suggest a Luigi's Mansion based route: of course we can start with Kirbys rappresenting the Boos, then we can have a rappresentato for the ghost Boss (we could even go for the main bosses) from each game, like... A giant Ness for Chauncey, a giant purple Game and Watch for Boogmire, Robin for the Poltergeist, 5... I dunno... White Bayonettas for the Possessors, Ludwig for Amadeus Wolfgeist (get it, both named after musicians?), Wario rappresenting Ug, Piranha Plant as Fishook and a giant Kirby as King Boo.
One fix I would like to see to Classic Mode is the 3 2 1 Go opening countdown from VS mode. That's how 1P mode was in Smash 64 and I hate how so much was changed for the worse since Melee.

Fighting characters that didn't debut in Kirby, but still have connections to Kirby, like Mario and Peach in Boxing Ring to reference Spring Breeze, Samus and ROB from Dream Land 3, Ness in Dream Land like in SSB64, and etc. The boss would be Master Hand and Crazy Hand, referencing their fight in Amazing Mirror.
Dedede's would be called The Great King, referencing Bandee's nickname for him. He'd fight baddies like Bowser, Ganondorf, and Ridley, with their respective heroes fighting alongside Dedede.
Lucina's could center around time travel, facing duos whose lives were greatly distanced, like Ness and Lucas or Richter and Simon, and characters with Sequel alts, like Cloud and Bayonetta.
