The story is, the older gentleman that is selling off the cars grew up on the property. Is father who passed due to old age several years ago, worked at a dealership, (opel or packard I can’t recall which) back in the 60s/70s.
He would buy up old cars people didnt want anymore and eventually had hundreds of cars in the woods.
A lot of the cars are family owned that were driven until they broke and then something else was purchased.
Since the father died, the family has been selling off parts and selling whole cars as much as they could.
Most of what is shown in the video is “show up and make an offer”

You have my attention. A buddy of mine in Central Georgia had an orange Volvo 142 with twin carburetors when we graduated from high school in 1981. I'd love to find out more about the one you showed at the beginning of the video.

The Opel Kadett was between 1200 and 1600 in Europe. The 1900 must have been for the US market only, possibly even the Canadian- And it would have been the same engine as in the Opel GT and in the european Opel Rekord, that ranged between 1700 and 1900. Fun fact: I passed my drivers test in Oslo, Norway in a Kadett 1200 back in 1971!

One of my workmates in the early 80's had an Opel GT that he was "working on." Not sure that it ever emerged from the garage. The German Opels were decent little cars. Then there were the rebadged Opels built by Isuzu for GM after that. Someone need to jump on that Subaru XZT (I think) with both feet...
