- Today we're in Charlotte, North Carolina doing battle with one of the world's most famous eating challenges...
We're at Benny's Pizzeria, taking on their 28 inch pizza challenge...the rules for which are as follows: If you're brave enough, you can order up one of their 28" cheese pizzas for $35 and if you get it all down inside 28 minutes, not only is the pizza ON THE HOUSE but you get a winner's t-shirt and a cash prize too!
The cash prize is $280 for 'average joes' or $100 for 'professionals'. How they determine the difference, I'm not sure, but either way it's a generous prize package...no wonder only 7 people have ever managed to beat it!

Happy Easter chums! I trust you’re enjoying a substantial feast of your own this fine Sunday…
I hope you enjoy tonight’s episode and as always, thanks for joining me for another one. I’ll be back this time next week for the next, so hopefully I’ll see you then.
Lots of love, BMF ❤️
Happy Easter Beard!
Evening mate ❤
Happy Eaater! Garlic dip is amazing bro!! I always get it for my pizza!
Hello from Illinois Cornfield....
Hello Beard! Happy Easter! 🐰🐣
That Benny's employee was looking out for you. That crust is such a workout on the jaw - well done Adam!
Omg for real. Crust is deceivingly challenging considering it takes up probably the least amount of stomach space.
Where's the other four, Dave?
Yall act like he’s never done this before… yes the guy was right with the advice but yall act like Adam doesn’t do this for a living….
Everyone is an expert
Yeah that was really nice. That alone gets them a visit if I'm ever passing through.
I honestly don’t think you know how much fun you give your viewers with your videos. Never change, Beardy…
For real. I’ve watched some other pro eaters and none are as fun and entertaining as Adam.
Ah thanks mate, I try ❤
@@BeardmeatsfoodWhile you're chewing you should try breaking up the crust of the next piece in your hands. Seems like it would make things easier.
Absolutely lots of other competitive eaters vids can be so boring. We love watching Adam.
Well if its not the classic regular person giving advice to a professional @MasonGillis
What he means by professional is you, Beard. You have the training, the charisma, the professionalism, the rapport. You are 100% class, mate.
Well said
yep, and you know, someone who has eating as their profession
Every time I eat a single slice of Benny's pizza, I already feel full. I can't imagine eating a whole pizza at once.
a whole normal sized pizza is no problemo with me ^^ but the 28 inch challenge thing... it scares me
You know this was a serious challenge, when Mr. Beard did not ask “Do you have a dessert menu” 😁🤣
That’s always my metric for how difficult the challenge is.
Coz he knows place looks pretty frozen 😂
haha, think he grabbed a root beer for desert
8 out of 45000 is a 0.0178% success rate!
Well done and happy Easter Beard 💪
Agreed
With the $35 sign up fee, if 45k people actually have attempted this challenge, the chain has made a lot of money from it.
I’ll be damned 😂❤
If it was alcohol, he wouldn't even have been near the illegal limit to drive. Need a few more pizzas to go.
Don't eat monster truck wheel pizza and drive, but if you do, definitely drive a monster truck!😂
@@SDrtheone no, it's (8/45000)*100 = 0.0177....%, which the original poster rounded to 0.0178%.
Edited for correctness.
The manager moved pretty quick to bring you water and the dipping sauce. That was pretty cool. I think he was rooting for you.
You finally came back to Charlotte and I missed ya! Thanks for taking on some of our challenges, love your content man!
Love seeing employees actually trying to help you win rather than being upset. Also the dudes at the end were awesome! Cheers beard happy Easter
Amen 🙏
@@Beardmeatsfood I think the US employees seem pretty supportive. I may have missed a salty crumb or two though. Someday you may have to do a compilation of wins done in the face of enemy fire featuring unhelpful or hostile staff. No names of course but like the Klingons say "revenge is a dish best served....cold".
My name is Beannys
@@JeffTaylor-tr7my Its also a chain restaurant, so the guy doesn't lose anything as opposed to just small family owned restaurants.
I like how beard always incredulously asks about the challenge. “You’ve got..uh…like..a pizza…challenge?”
Almost cringey trademark of his to pretend he doesn’t know the name of the challenge he researched before going to do.
You dont wanna overwhelm the clerk or say it in a way that makes them make it bigger if you come with an S on your chest
@@infinidominionit’s maddening when the restaurant makes the challenge bigger when they know who’s coming to try it. Can’t stand the dishonesty!
Especially when he said he called ahead lol
The funniest thing is how people think I call ahead every time and arrange it at length 😂
that looked like one of THE most difficult i have seen on your channel so far.
monotonous taste, chewy, rough time restriction AND simply the amount. respect for gulping that down!
You’re the most uploading foodie on YT right now, much appreciated for my boring work lunches, cheers mate!
Gotta love beard putting "professional" on quotations, my dude, you're arguably around top 3 most famous professional eater in the world.
Right? I’m surprised more places don’t do something like that because he just wrecks some of these challenges
i've never understood the idea of a 'professional eater'...a professional video maker maybe; the genre being eating of course, but nobody's paying me to eat...I think I'd reserve 'professional eater' for folks like Joey Chestnut, Geoff Esper, Miki Sudo etc. who are out there winning prize money...but maybe it's semantics. I've no complaints about the rules, just the term 'pro eater' always makes me laugh.
@@Beardmeatsfood My dude we're all paying you to eat, that's the nature of CZcams.
@@Beardmeatsfood Benny's pizza just paid you to eat.
If you make a living at something, I'd say your profession is that thing, in turn making you a professional...but I digress, either way they should still give the $280 to professionals that are going to make videos and promote your business too.
I really love how you commend the chef for the taste. It's so respectful of their craft.
@@michael-4k4000 do you mean it's 'the bollocks'? calling it straight up bollocks means it's shit
@@MrSkeleton131he said “it’s delicious” 9:40

I've been watching you for a hot minute and it's a given that you are very good at what you do... but this... THIS... freaking legend, brother.
These food challenges are the type I'd love to get in a really hard workout beforehand. Stokes my appetite and numbs some of the discomfort.
FOOD LUBE is now my new favourite way of describing dip 😂

It's called "curry" in India.

Your behavior often makes me forget how absolutely hard someone has to work to get their body to function like yours. The ability to consume that much food in one sitting, at speed, then the discipline for your normal diet, and staying in shape. Top performance Mr. Beard, bravo on the win.
not the type of thing I'd commend haha but thanks

@@Beardmeatsfoodi wouldn't recommend it. Just dont forget after all this time you staying healthy and still going at these challenges is just great to see. You can't do it forever but im glad you share all the journeys with us. Thanks.
Actually just seeing some of the random peoples kindness is also refreshing when everything pulls people into algorithms with fear. Thanks
@@coltonblake13 He throws it up you are naive
My jaw is cramping just from watching Mr. Beard chew that crust.... Bravo Brother Beard!
Yes, finally got to see you in my neck of the woods :). Haven't been to this place before, but definitely going to look it up now! Well done :).
Lets all take a moment to appreciate the hero that served you and was supplying you with fresh water and dip
always wonderful to see such support from not only random bystanders but also the employees themselves hooking it up with constant waters & sauce, what a great challenge
I've been impressed with the friendliness of Americans towards the Beardy man. They seem like lovely people.
@@LiesDamnLiesandPolitics Sorta a long winded comment, but I see it a lot, and always find it unfortunate how the "average" American, certain US states, and our food culture is portrayed or what people assume. I don't blame them, but still. Same goes for the UK and how food is stereotyped. Most people here in the US are good people and just trying to navigate life while being a decent person, just like anywhere else. One thing many people outside of the US don't realize is that this place is massive. 3 hours 1 way (~300 miles) is very drivable to go somewhere just within your own state or maybe a neighboring. We have so much diversity and so much to experience from one state to another and the change over 500 miles (which isn't that far in the US) can be astonishing and a culture shock in certain places.
I live in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington) and we are a food mecca. What makes food culture in America great is that it is ALL food culture globally, as well as regional, available in abundance. That's what America is regardless of what devisive and ignorant singular view or stereotype people here or outside argue upon. I can drive 15 minutes to a single street such as 82nd St. in Portland, Oregon and have some of THE MOST authentic and best Thai, Vietnamese, Broth Hot Pot, Sushi, and so many others. And that is just a small area known for Asian food.
This is coming from a Marine Corps Veteran who has indeed seen and experienced other parts of the world, good and bad for what it is worth. What I love about our country, despite some things wrong, is the shear diversity and how much we DO share and can experience in a single place. You would never think that to be true based on what you see on the news or whatever other source. I highly recommend a food travel experience here to experience it all. If you don't know where to start, I PROMISE you'd have many eager Americans that would absolutely love to share their favorite places, experiences, and anything else you'd need. Just like anywhere else, you could easily only experience dull touristy places with average food because you don't know any better.
Food really does bring people together! The comment section on Beard's videos proves it seeing all the people from so many places getting to experience different places of the world vicariously.
It definitely wasn't the biggest amount of food you ate at once. What makes it so hard is time. Congratulations- you are the best
That's such a great fantasy football punishment 😆 great video as always Mr. Beard
Dude this one actually gave me anxiety that you wouldn't finish, and the employee was an absolute team player. This was a great video! Nice work Adam!

i like that despite having his channel explode, his content is legit the same. thank you!!!
Just did the maths on this; a 28" pizza is over FOUR TIMES the area of a 14" pizza, which I can barely finish one of (and I'm 6'5" and 17 stone)... you mate are a star, fair play to you.
Dang, that’s about 10,000 calories!
@@cregendaumm, ACTUALLY it’s about 10,142 Calories…
@@davejay6855 nah more than that he said the garlic sauce was more like garlic butter😅
its not over 4 times, its exactly 4 times at doubling the radius of a circle is 4 times the area as x2 squared is x4

114 people per location, per year... so someone is trying this challenge every 3 days at every one of their locations... Something tells me he meant 45 hundred, not 45 thousand.
Yeah fully agree with this. That guy had no idea what he was saying lol 😂

well he did mention in over 11 years time span
@@joecrypto2459 yeah, I took that into account. You can do the math. 45,000 / 11 years / 36 locations = 113.6 attempts per year per location
