Makes me feel like an elder ! I met Mark right before he was going up on stage to win the flat picking guitar contest playing his version of Blackberry Blossom . It was a huge Southern California Bluegrass festival in the late 70`s . We were all so young . Now I am a luthier and love to work on instruments while listening to the Appalachian Waltz CD for one ! So glad to see and hear your music here !
You two have really loads of courage and wit! A deadpan history of a Nashville Donut shop segues to about 30 years of vital music history not to mention your personal development...really a great idea and realization, keep on keepin' on! Knowing parts of that history from the outside makes me feel privileged to see some of it from within. Thanks...
Hey Cousins!! Fun to see this trip down memory lane. Did your dad eventually move to a different house in Nashville? He and I hung out late one night gabbing until 3 am when I came through on tour. Can't get over how much you look like your dad. Not you, Kate. I don't know what your dad looks like. ;-) Cheers from Eugene.
How fun to see those old photos, the old house, etc, and how they tug at my heartstrings! The "you" at 5:56 is how I most remember you, Forrest. I have a few photos of you from those days. Btw, I don't know when your doughnut eating career began (man, those chocolate old fashion's; I want one NOW!) But I can vouch for your mom that whenever she packed you a lunch for a visit to my house, it was exemplary from the nutritional standpoint and every other, generally including a Forrest favorite: avocado, aka, "hopocado". Enjoying the music and the stories, you two!
So great to hear from you Margaret! Yeah the old-fashioned chocolate donuts there are seriously the best we've ever had. Glad to hear that wasn't all I ate back then haha...
@@OConnorLee, Next time you play the OK Theatre we will have to take you to Vali's for their amazing handmade doughnuts and compare notes. Love the channel and looking forward to more videos.
You two are so adorable! Thanks for the tour!
That were fun!

Thanks so much Paul! Donuts and music -- that pretty much captures how we live some days haha!

Haha man great to hear from you! He ended up moving to San Diego after living in that house. Hope to see you in Eugene sometime soon!
Very Enjoyable, I love the view you had through the window and the look of those chocolate donuts.
Great seeing and hearing about the donut shop and they look so good. What a cool place to have grown up .
Donut Den basically hasn't changed since at least the early '90s haha!

When you get back to Rochester you gotta take him to Donuts Delight and Ridge Donuts. Some of the best in this area.
I enjoyed this so much! Thank you.
Thanks Tracy!!
Those doughnuts look delish!
They are as good as any donuts we've ever had!

That sounds like a plan! A nationwide donut comparison is in order...
Oh man, now I need donuts! 🍩
