    a drop of oil in the rails helps with loading 308

  • @jimjackson9323
    @jimjackson9323 Před 4 lety +3

    For the 308 try using some silicone grease in the loader rails. I do this with the ETS CAM Loader on the 9mm. It helps make them slide much easier. Just my two cents...

  • @blmemories24
    @blmemories24 Před 6 lety +2

    Works great on the 5.56/.223. Put a small amount of gun oil in the feed tubes for the .308 and they will go in much easier. I've had it for a couple of weeks and love it. Much more affordable!

    I purchased the 9/40, 45acp and rifle. All were very stiff but should loosen up. I tried the Rifle with 45acp to load a 30 round Thompson mag from my 1921 . It was very difficult to get the first 20 slid into the feeder. The mag does not fit flush. However by holding the top against the back of the loader, it will be at an angle, push the rounds in firmly and they will go. This will be a good loading tool for those with Thompson stick magazines.

    For bulk ammo that is loose in a can, the toggle lula loader would be easier to use. Having to hand load rounds in the trough is more of a PITA than just dropping into the lula loader. But for boxed ammo, this would be nice.

    I wish I had seen this before, I loaded a bunch of AR and AK mags this weekend. I was doing a spring cleaning and organizing of the gun room. I didn't realize how much ammo I had and filled a dozen ammo cans. I could have used another 10 cans but at least there is some much needed room for an extra bed now. We have a house guest flying in this week and needed a place for them to sleep, lol. Thanks for another excellent video my friend, I'll definitely be checking this one out. Have a great week!

    @5:15 With AK rounds it's far far quicker just to use a LULA speed loader. What you're using there makes you "load" each round twice: once on the stripper clip, then again into the mag. With the LULA you only put one round in @ a time, one time.

    I just got the Universal Rifle loader for my 308 AR 10. The rails for the 308 are so tight I had to sand the groove in order to feed the ammo buy hand into the loader. Further sanding made it possible to load the ammo into the loader from the cartridge tray. I have one for 9 mm and the rounds keep getting jammed in the loader even with oil. I am not impressed with the craftsmanship of these loaders. The idea is sound. At least after modifying the rifle loader I got it to work.

  • @w5mec
    @w5mec Před 3 lety

    Put a small amount of gun oil on a q-tip then lube the rail for the 308 ammo. They'll slide through a lot easier.

    Another great Smooch video!!! Keep them coming. I would disagree that loading loose rounds into the CAM loader and then the mag is "faster" than just inserting them into the mag.... you are adding multiple steps.... while the round is in your hand put it in the mag.... done!

  • @Backwoodsballistics296
