    The new Upcoming Boeing Airplane Will Shock You! The Boeing 777X, which has been called "the world's largest and most efficient twin-engine jet," was supposed to go into commercial service in 2020. However, since it was first announced, there have been a lot of delays. Folding wingtips are a first for commercial aviation and might be the most interesting thing about the outside of the plane, which is now set to make its debut in 2025. But what would it look like when seen from the inside? At the Farnborough Airshow, a trade show for the aviation industry that took place this month in the UK, Boeing was proud to show off a test version of the 777-9X, which is one of two versions of the 777X. This gave passengers an idea of what they could expect in the future.

    The engineering effort that has been put into the design of 777x is substantial. Additional scrutiny of factors affecting safety has no doubt extended the flight testing of the aircraft considerably. The FAA is, based on various media reports being exceptionally cautious with the certification process for the 777x. A critical step in certification is when FAA pilots fly the 777x instead of Boeing test pilots. This step should be very close to happenings as Boeing announced it has 4 test aircraft ready for the next step. Hopefully the FAA will do a thorough examination of the aircraft’s performance with safety procedures being a high priority. Not sure why it will take till 2025 to complete the certification.

      That is a terrible idea to let FAA pilots do the initial testing, if they are there, the as FO's but never in control position where they can do damage without being penalized, since the government does not act in the best interest of Boeing, this is based on a long history.
      Additionally pilots have always been close to the design team and build sa working relationship conccerned with design limits, best practices etc. All in complete contrast with uninformed FAA 'pilots', who take their orders from potential political bosses.

      @Arturo-lapaz Pƙed rokem +1

      @@DJAYPAZ One important point:
      Certification is following the applicable FAR's ... Federal Air Regulations. Nowhere there is a requirement that FAA pilots perform the test flying.
      Those pilots have no engineering background, let alone the ability to judge the performance, compliance of the aircraft. Worse they have no knowledge of the fabrication process, the hydraulic/electric systems. They would have to be trained and certificated, before allowed to operate the airplane by the Boeing flight instructors.
      Starting in flight simulators a very expensive process. Who pays that?
      Company test pilots are longtime Boeing employees known and trusted. Part of the development team, not some people hired for this purpose by some bureocrats, who are not pilots.
      At Lockheed I new some, ie Tony Levier, proven test pilot, first pilot to fly the U2 and learning in the process. .......

      Perhaps Boeing should pay closer attention to the airlines that buy their airplanes. Remember, no 737Max airplanes were lost by American, Southwest or United. Do not let Lion Air or Ethiopean Airline pilots anywhere near an airplane until they have passed rigorous simulator AND flight training.
