Kittur Rani Channamma Birth Place

Rani Chennanna birth place is Kakati and death place is Bailhongal in Belgaum district, Karnataka, India. Rani Chennamma's samadhi or burial place is in Bailhongal taluk, but is in neglected state with poor maintenance and the place is surrounded by a small park maintained by Government agencies. Rani Chennamma was the first freedom fighter who fought for the freedom of her dynasty against British, but in both Kakati and Bailhongal there are no tourist attractions for the visitors except her Samadhi in Bailhongal and small fort in Kakati. Some developments and memorial must be established for her remembrance in the future and also to attract the tourists and patriots.
