This video was great! I just removed the mainboard and using a thermo gun and flux I heated both top and bottom of the chip as you need. Reassembled and bingo this LG 55 inch 3D tv is as good as new. Thanks for the education.
I have the same tv with exactly the same problem, missing 12 volts at lvds, mine doesn’t show a voltage reading, it shows a diode reading of 0.448 at 12 volt pins, same reading on the tcon board, why don’t I get a voltage reading, multimeter is in dc voltage mode ? Can it be a small issue on the mainboard? Reflow did not change anything, your help will be greatly appreciated, thank you awesome videos 🙌
I got to side mount led strips. When I diode test the individual led chips they show as expected 0.7v but when I apply 3v they don't glow and draw over 1amp. Are these magical led strips?

get a tv led tester it works better, if the led not glow you will need to replace all led strips

ibe tried with resine flux like you seems to put i cant bring it to bubble like you i was at 450
Still need to replace mainboard. Wasting time watching
