They been riding his amazing biblical music through all genres of music even to this very day I'm old enough I remember the grand old opera lol timeless music
Here in Texas, Hank Sr, will always be the king of country music. I would be willing to bet that even George Strait would agree with that statement! Forever. There will never be another like Hank Sr.
Me too Casey; I remember listening to his songs on A.M. car radio during the 50's, when I was a young lad. It's only now, when I'm an old fart, that I truly appreciate what a gift he was to us all!
That good man died too young. But he struggled with himself, alcohol and his wife audrey, so then again, its maybe the best for him to have finally gotten his peace.
Back in the 50's in Houston, Texas there was a performance they called "The Gulf Coast Jamboree" When any kind of new business would open in Houston they had huge lights that shined into the sky (Actual lights to watch the air for airplanes during the war) These lights could be seen all over Houston. When people saw these lights they started driving towards them. In the parking lot there would be a stage about 20'X20' made of plywood. During these I met personally Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Grandpa Jones, Minnie Pearl, Johnny Cash and many more. I was a little kid so my Mom would set me on the edge of the stage and every time Minnie Pearl saw me she pinched my cheeks. This is what you call memories. I feel sorry for younger people because they can never share the peace that was felt then.
Such a spiritual song, I am just an old sinner and I struggle with my faith every day, I know The Good Lord has a plan for all of us, I just hope I am worthy of his grace when the time comes.
+Adrian Miller read Philippians, great words from Paul of joy and faith. I read it yesterday for the first time and now the spirit is moving brother! I will lift you up in my quiet time brother.
Adrian Miller technically none of us are, not even the greatest of saints. that didnt stop him from coming on down to save us anyway. while it is a wonderful bonus and you should always strive for such, you dont get into the lord's house for being a saint, you get into it by being forgiven. All you gotta do for that is ask him for it, and know that he came down here, simply so you could.
Hi there, I want to ask how can you be 'worthy' of his grace when grace means undeserved and unmerited love? Romans 3:22-24 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
We are just a few hours away from the 67th anniversary of Hanks death . A true test of someone impact on their profession is after there gone , are they remembered ? Hank continues to add new generations of fans long after his death . I was born 14 years after his death . I got to know Hanks music from my dad , and I've been a fan ever since . Country music's brightest star . The measuring stick by which all other are judged . It takes most artists decades to have the career Hank had and Hank did it in 6 short years . Some think that Hank passing away just before the Rock & Roll era only helped Hanks legend. Some think that Hank couldn't compete with the Rock era . I beg to differ , people had no choice to turn to something else because Hank had passed away . Who's to say that R&R would of taken off as it did if Hank had lived ? Hanks passing benefited R&R . Look how many artists have recorded Hank's music . Look how many artists from other types of music say that Hank had influenced them . These are marks of a legend and in my opion , the greatest of all time in Country music. Hank's still the King .
My father passed on December 22 2019@ 7am And he loved Hank Williams and I was very young in early 70s listening to the music my father played He loved this song and I knew this song since I was little because of my father 💖🌹 🦅
welcome to the world of Hank fans...In my opinion, he was a total genius when it came to song writing/singing...after 60 yrs, his song's still ring a tone of truth in todays life...he either had great forsight, or things haven't really changed all that much!!!
I have listened to him since i was 2, and Marty Robbins. I also listen to the greats such as Lefty Frizzle. I grew up on it and I think this is how Country and Western music should sound
It's something to contemplate, but Britney Spears, the Kardashian sisters, Christina Aguilera are all way older than HankWilliams, Sr., ever was. It just doesn't seem possible. He'd be almost 97 now, were he living.
I was only one and a half years old when Hank died...but his music lives forever. Although many have cut this song since,it seems that the old versions...like this one...the Chuck Wagon Gang...the Carter Family (if they did this)...are just the best.
I was born 3 years and 3.5 months after he passed away on 1 January 1953 sometime after midnight. I wish he had lived long enough for me to have seen him on TV at least
I love this song and I am a christian. This is such a spiritual song. I love Hymns. They are amaizing. Hank Williams is a good singer. I love this video
Nobody will know of the Barnett family version of this song. As a child growing up in Kentucky I remember this song reverberating from a two room shack in the "hollers". The wippor wills in the background I played with my cousins. Those nights in the hills hold special meaning for me. Thanks to the person who has shared this, a Kentucky boy of no importance has you in their thoughts.
Don't forget Jett - his daughter. I saw her in concert with the surviving members of Hank's band. She carried her daddy's torch high! Excellent concert!
I listen to Hank Williams Senior every chance I get and I listen to his son listen to all the great Legends their music helps lift my spirits when I'm feeling down because they put their heart and soul into everything they sing the true fact of the matter is they don't get hardly any radio time just because they're gone if I ever had the money to buy a radio station that's all I would play as the great Legends none of this new stuff every song that would be played would be something from a legend living or gone because to me that's how their memory stays alive through their fans because we never gave up on them God bless the person who uploaded these great Hank Williams songs
I listened to him as a child son of a country music fan. What a great entertainer and complex man. He was very deep and soulful with his lyrics. He obviously had some demons but I guess that is what made him so great.
I live in Saskatchewan and everyone loves new country and im listing to this and im now thinking what ever happened to country music when it actually used to be good
this was played at my grandpa's funeral a few weeks back... he was born in 1932 and was a good man... gonna miss him... he loved this type of music he played it alot and sung it to us as kids. adios papa see you on the other side
My paternal grandparents loved Hank Williams. I knew my granny very well but I never got to know my grandad. He died when I was five so I don't remember him much at all. Listening to Hank makes me feel like I can connect with him in some way even though he's been dead 33 years now. Wish we'd had more time together, Waldo Lee Tindol. You made me laugh like no one else ever could.
I REMEMBER THESE SONGS FROM MY CHILDHOOD GOING TOO THE LITTLE COUNTRY CHURCH WHERE OUR DAD PREACHED THOSE MEMORIES WILL LIVE FOREVER IN MY MIND TILL I GO HOME TOO BE WITH JESUS
It's "amen"....Jeez; if you're gonna be a Christian; get it right! Translated , "amen" means "it shall be"! Or shall it be.....Actually it's a Jewish term...that the Christians borrowed from the Jews.
I just love country music. I just found out about Hank. I just knew a song by him (jambalaya). But now, I became another fan. I hope I can see some more videos like this. I can not find Cd´s in Brazil.
Can’t beat southern church services, found this church in Tampa once (after moving from Pasco County) and they were playing rock&roll music, the pastor was about 28 and had a fohawk. I stood up and walked out of that yankee heep.

I was not privileged to have seen this legend perform but there's something about Hank Williams that takes me to another place in time.
Me too Casey; I remember listening to his songs on A.M. car radio during the 50's, when I was a young lad. It's only now, when I'm an old fart, that I truly appreciate what a gift he was to us all!
I'm sorry for you wesley. You know the saying: You Don't Know What You Have Until It's Gone.
That good man died too young. But he struggled with himself, alcohol and his wife audrey, so then again, its maybe the best for him to have finally gotten his peace.
I know what you mean...
great song. hank was way ahead of his time.
Back in the 50's in Houston, Texas there was a performance they called "The Gulf Coast Jamboree" When any kind of new business would open in Houston they had huge lights that shined into the sky (Actual lights to watch the air for airplanes during the war) These lights could be seen all over Houston. No body can do it like Hank.
I know
"...I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord ."
2 Corinthians 5:8
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER TO FILL HIS SHOES IN MY BOOK. THE GREATEST.

I do. He's the greatest country singer and songwriter they ever been. No one has came close to him. Richard Bates Greer S.C.
I just love country music. I just found out about Hank. I just knew a song by him (jambalaya). But now, I became another fan. I hope I can see some more videos like this. I can not find Cd´s in Brazil.
His voice kills me! The emotion and pain! You can’t fake that!
nothing is better than hank and whiskey
Glory, Glory, Glory.
My favorite song
As a Mcmac Indian I remember my grandmother. She had the patience, yet I was so inquisitive...
Pilots like this song, I was told, greatness is in your wings.(!)!++
Can’t beat southern church services, found this church in Tampa once (after moving from Pasco County) and they were playing rock&roll music, the pastor was about 28 and had a fohawk. I stood up and walked out of that yankee heep.
My wife just left to go see Jesus and I'm all right behind you and that's the song I want to sing at my funeral
