Every time I play this game, I'm blown away. From looking out the side window, while spinning out, to hugging a corner so tight it screams, poke me. I love GT7 VR. I can't wait to show it to people I like as well.
Nice. Those are the reactions I'm looking for when deciding to buy this someday. I kinda want to see if they add any VR stuff with next GT7 update to see if they are supporting it. That and it would be nice to hear about other VR games, but I know there is a decent list so far. Glad to hear they did such a good job with VR2 with GT7. Great to see!

You can sort of reposition yourself in the seat by doing the opposite of what you want to do and resetting your position by holding options. For example: If you're too close and want to move back, move forwards and reset your position and sit back into your normal position.
Having to do this every time you race is such a pain, but I find it completely necessary. Would be great if you could save your head positioning for each car, or perhaps the headset could track your wheel with its cameras and do it automatically? 👀

A really basic way to get the mph from kph is to divide by 3, then multiply that by 2 (i.e. 180/3 = 60. 60x2 = 120). It's not exact, but quickly gives you a rough figure without needing to grab a calculator, and can be done while driving.
I use 10KM equals 6.2 miles. I am decent at maths, but if you remember 50 is 31, 100 is 62 150 is 93 200 is 124. It's not difficult to get used to knowing without needing to work it out all the time. I do prefer MPH as I am an old timer and grew up with it. I still work out my litres of petrol to gallons as well.

To move your view farther from the wheel you have to look down at the bottom of the wheel and then reset by holding the options button. Sadly you have to redo it every race and every time you restart.
Yes, and this has to be addressed ASAP. In online it is basically impossible to do right and if you mess up you're done.

@@aeriagloris4211 the position of the driver. It is too low and too close to the wheel. It should be fully adjustable and saved, ideal for each car separately.
@@misiopuchatek152 if you say so...I haven't had any such issues driving 2 Ferraris, Porsche, 89 BMW and 69 Camaro. You realize it is fully adjustable right? You just hold a button
@@aeriagloris4211 what I just said? I know about the button override but in the online races when you miss the spot you are done as you can’t freely adjust it during the race.
Hey pantha you need to remove the yellow markers that appear on track. You can disable it in the assist menu to make it more immersive.

Turned into a worst item to win races. If u don't follow them, u go fast, smash lap times and, win the race.
I genuinely want there to be a VR co-op mode where one person drives HUD-less, and another player feeds them information from the pit wall where they have all the telemetry.

I was unsure of VR 2.. Call of the mountain had terrific graphics but poor gameplay.. but when I played Gran Tourismo on it.. wow.. worth the purchase alone.. amazing

The in car ui is fine, just imagine its a small screen on your dashboard. The race ui however being in the middle of the screen is obnoxious as hell!

Haven't tried PSVR2 yet (which is supposed to be less nausea inducing), but I have used various VR setups for sim racing. I owned the original PSVR.
First time I played VR multiplayer I got absolutely punted by an SRT Tomahawk out of nowhere. Scared tf outta me.
Man this plus a proper GT mode would be a dream. Like a GT mode with opponents that specifically race with you throughout the career.

Omg sat watching videos thinking who wants to walk around a VR car in a showroom. Then I bought a PSVR 2 and its all become clear. What a piece of kit, truly amazing and as many have said until you experiance it you just won't get it. Alot of money but my god worth every penny so far
Oh my. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the big yellow apex markers and they definitely don’t belong in VR. The only hud/on screen info you really need (during races with pitstops) is the little box where you can see the track/weather map, power output and traction controle. It’s been such a amazing experience. PSVR2 and GT7 is a match made in heaven. ❤
I really like GT7, it is better than any other racing game out there with the VR, one thing I would like is for them to make spring races, I really liked those from older games, so you are not going circles but A to B.

You need to buy the manual transmission from the shop to use the clutch, I believe race transmission is semi auto, so you don't need the clutch

I love the no hud view but you need to know your tyre wear in races with pit stops it's a shame they could like put the gauges on a physical display attached to the car or your suit or something

I made a second call. The lovely woman answering arranged for no-fee repair.
I've ordered a pair of prescription inserts. This is becoming a big problem for Sony.

I'm definitely motivated to buy a PS, maybe the next version when there's more games and I can afford it, but so far it looks incredible for the price, just waiting to see if there would even be competition in the next 2 years or so....
There wont be a next version they aren’t released a slim version or a pro version and from this point forward game with be 70$ plus it will never go back down because the technology is better and inflation

I just went ''all in" with a budget rig, budget wheel and pedal and the psvr2. Doesn't regret it so far, except for the fact that the game is slow. So many tutorials

There is just one youtuber that honestly mentioned what to expect from psvr that the graphics and resolution you see is not as clear as you see it in a youtube video. I had psvr 2 and returned it. While it was immersive the level of graphics still looks like a 2010 game and the curent lenses on psvr2 have a very very narrow sweet-spot otherwise things get really blurry. While i think vr is awesome and the future , for me it is just not there yet. P.s. would prefer non oled screen but with pancake lenses any day.

Gt7 is probably the game I play the most with my vr and I think it's awesome, but! With all of the detail they put in I wish when you go check a car out in the showroom and get close, the reflection of the area around you looks like mine craft. That's my only gripe. I'm amazed how I get glare of the sun off of the plastic over the gauges and the light passing through the cabin realistically when driving under lights, so the level of detail is super high otherwise.

Motion Sickness
Previous iterations of games in VR on the PSVR1 were unplayable. This is the first iteration which is actually playable and there are people who genuinely (and are fortunate to) enjoy it to the point they can’t go back to flat screen racing. It’s like THEY feel the immersion that I’ve always wanted to feel with VR1 - but for some odd reason, I am still not feeling it with my headset. I might have a defective headset as I am not getting the sense of things being bright - both in terms of luminosity and color richness - so it feels like I’m still viewing things through a helmet - which is a weird thing to say because you’re supposed to have a helmet on when racing to begin with.
Put brightness down and use better headset
Maybe your TV is too bright and in vivid mode so your not used to a more accurate luminosity and color on a different device?

why not just imagine you're wearing a helmet like you would do in a race car anyway and learn to become immersed. I'm one of the can't go back to flat screen. I did try F1 in the theater mode in cockpit view and it actually felt pretty decent because I can't see my wheel and I don't break immersion.
People over hyped this experience. It’s super great. And I love my PSVR2. Like a lot. But in 10 years it will be garbage compared to the VR then. This is not quite mass consumer ready. 1 or 2 generations and it will be. It’s so amazing at times in the meantime. Especially Resident Evil 8

it really look as real life with VR. What we need is a game as good in simulation as assetto, with the same shutoko mods, with some better UIs, no mirror issues, no weird arcade mods and a great multiplayer. with that you have the whole sim community playing at your game.
Except GT7has better UI, better AI and better multiplayer than AC already.
@@kraenk12 what i’ve seen is that gt7 is kind of dead, the game gets boring, for AI i’m talking about the traffic one not the race ones, then as long as the multiplayer is as ACs or gt7 it’d be cool

So after couple of hours of playing I have used to the VR in the car but there is still one part of the track which is just uneasy for me. How do you all deal with chicanes? It is the only moment on the track my brain just go nuts and tries everything he can to prepare my body for the incoming from both directions G-Forces. It is not something that makes me sick or something but just annoys me 😅

thats just him from him talking and moving his head around. You wont get that shake at all in the headset just buttery smooth.
