Monét X Change And The Vivienne Talk British Accents
/ ew - Zábava
Monet x change is barney😭
‘Both have green toes” killed me
Now everything makes sense for me 😂
Monet is actually correct. The birtish accent that we hear today was created because the rich didn't want to sound like the poor and used the accent to differentiate their status
Which british accent lol?! there are hundreds
@@joniwatso you're missing the point. The point is that they sounded like Americans sound. There's dozens of different American accents. But the American accent most people would call hick redneck or hillbilly or southern was actually called queens speak or queens English back in the day. And that is the most accurate example of how people used to sound back in the day. Until they started adding a more British UK accent onto it. Idk which one currently would be the accurate version for that though.
Linguist X Change
... No.
@@daashazireael6613 Americans think everything is about them lol, yeah ok
I LOVE Monet and The Vivienne when they get together. They are hilarious!! I was cackling, and i mean CACKLING at the netflix show of them trying to be "ladies of etiquette" 😂🤣😭💜💋
Barney X Change
Monet is correct . The British accent now was used to act richer, upper class, royal . Originally they say it sounded kind of American southern
AND SHE WAS RIGHT. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
when the british colonized north america they had what is known today as regular american accents, and the british people back home developed what is know today as british accents to seperate themselves from the british people that colonized north america.
Yes! The original British accent is considered to be still in some parts of Virginia right?
I don’t think that’s true. They say the American accent began to diversify in the mid 1900s.
You're right but I always find it funny how Americans refer to the British who colonised North America like those ancestors aren't closer to Americans of today than the actual English
@@joniwatso Its not true girl. She telling tall tales
This is like 20% true but you tried lol. This must be how misinformation spreads so fast on the internet
"I haven't seen debate moderation that weak since you had Candace and Blaire on your show" 💀 omg I'm like 30 seconds in and I'm living for this
Kinda true. Just kinda. Not really accurate. BUT, the “southern” American accent today is closer to how the English people sounded back then than most British accents today.
Wait what accent is new york one that monet has then? Surely it evolved from British colonial accents because Natives sound nothing like that 😂
I need a show where Monet X Change breaks down events I history.
Money trying to rewrite semantics and linguistics 😂😂😂
What was this show called so i can go watch all of this?
What are they on like what show??
What does copasetic mean
monet?
co·pa·cet·ic
/ˌkōpəˈsedik/
adjective INFORMAL•NORTH AMERICAN
in excellent order.
I just Googled that, which you could also have done btw, and I didn't have to ask Monet X Change to do it for me.
I really wanted more opinion from vi, cause I’m still in a conflama about this issue lol.
Time machines are my only chance to fact check at this point
Monet is correct. I read the British accent we hear today was made to separate the poor from rich but someone else said it was made to separate from the America's and the people still in Britain
Monet's not exactly known for being intelligent😂
The gag is smh that wasn’t a good nor funny gag boo do better
