Great review bro! I have the Bose Sound SportFree as well. The only MAJOR problem problem I found is the clipping in and out and lost of connection. Well, I did a little process of elimination. Found that it only does that using my IPhone XS Max. Not once did it do that while paired to my Galaxy Note 9. I could have the IPhone laying on my chest and the audio will cut out. Now using it on my Note 9. I walked around the house with phone sitting still and it never cut out. Saying all this to say. The ear buds are great. Just be aware of the phone you pair it with.

watch youtube, videos through safari or google don't use the youtube app! (I have no problem with hulu or netflix apps but if you do, sign into those using your phones default browser the video delay is not there. remember most of these third party apps are not aware of a new product coming out so they may have to be updated.

That's a long time away, and if you got a good deal on these I say keep them instead of keeping up with the tech. It really depends on your lifestyle though, if you are active, I say keep them, if you just want wireless tech... you can always return them, wait until the new one's drop and see if you want to get those.

RE audio delay: this is one of the reasons that Apt X Bluetooth codec (and Apt X HD) are desirable; hardly any delay and CD quality stream. Many Android devices have this feature, but I believe Apple is still lagging on this for mobile.
the fit of the gear icon x is far better imo. i cant make them move no matter what and they have such good seal i cant hear a thing even with no music on (might be bad for some) ...the sound quality if there is some way of objectively measuring them might not be as good however because the seal is so much better than the 7-8 different wireless headphones ive had, ...the sound in real world use is better.

The sound in my opinion is a bit more in volume but, like I said, sometimes is uncomfortable at the highest volume for me. The wired has great volume to me and to be quite honest...they are the better buy. Go for the wire and save $100

These headphones are basically impossible to use for anyone who wants to use multiple devices and who wants to watch video. The pairing is awful and the fact that only the right earbud communicates with your device (relaying a signal to the left bud) means that there are terrible latency problems while watching video. Mine are going back to Bose.
They (Bose) fixed this issue with a new firmware update a couple of months ago. I bought these and had the same issue, then read up about it and updated the firmware easily from their website for free. Took like 7 minutes (do it from the computer not your phone). After this, I had no issues. I use them every day at the gym and I run with these with no problems. Bass sounds great and the fit comfortably. I had some reservations because of the price, but THESE ARE BOSE!!! Of course they're expensive. The sound is amazing.

dont buy this bose ear buds connection are suck,music stop or pausing while you turning your head around left and right.i am very disappointed.creative outlier air works great and with 30 hours of play time.cheaper too
These are about 3 times too large these make the apple headphones look very stylish ... I was shocked at how large these are ...I'd take the new Samsung icon over there any day over these ...another solid but not exactly innovative or original Bose product

I switch between my iPhone and I pad and just one press of the button on the left pod I changes no problem
