I feel bad for sang woo because he really didn't want to die, and it was a hard decision for him to make to kill Ali. After this, Sang Woo knew that no matter what, he would have to win this game for the man he killed. In the end, sang woo didn't want to kill Ali and even almost killed his best friend to make Ali's death worth it.
Ali didn't want to harm his boss, his boss was being racist and refused to give Ali's money even though Ali had done his work. Sang-woo probably didn't mean to betray Ali, but how he betrays Ali just to survive was really a selfish thing to do. About Ji-yeong, she avenged her mother's death by m*rdering her dad is just bad. But she sacrifices herself for Saebyeok. That's a good thing. Gi-hun was being a realistic kind of character. His personality was just like the world's reality. There's so much people who does what he did. He even joined the games to pay for his mother's surgery. He does care about people, opposite of Sang-woo.
