This game was first a mobile game which is why it's pretty straight forward and not that deep.

I've played this a bunch on my phone. Gets more in depth when you get other characters and learn to maximize your gold production through rubies. Also different ability combos with certain characters is a lot of fun. Great for long car rides n such

I was gonna say, it's such pure NL to call the game easy when he clearly hasn't seen the game past the basic side of it.
Yeah it's actually hilarious to see NL say it's too simple/easy when he plays the tutorial dungeon so badly.

This is my favorite game on mobile and the only one I haven't dropped after a week
The numbers in the top right are HP, but also damage potential. A flamethrower with a 9 will kill an enemy (or you) with a 9, and will be damaged at range for 4 by a wand attack for 4. All weapons are "ranged" in the sense you seemed to mean (killing something with a sword will not move you onto their tile, it will just turn it into gold). Dynamite hits entire rows, bombs hit adjacent tiles. Hitting a fire wand with a fire attack will improve it before you pick it up; same with ice. You can't die from poison, being at 1HP eliminates any poison you have. Same for enemies.
I think the game has a problem when it comes to powers: you have complete control over which ones you have at every point, and they aren't strong enough to make a really big impact on your play. That makes it feel not much like a roguelite. Every run is essentially the same, and the only thing that changes as you progress through a run is the difficulty. It's fun enough for what it is, but it doesn't have a lot of replayability.

The art-style is very reminiscent of games like Magicite and Roguelands , so is the soundtrack and the gameplay to be honest .
almost all of his game have the same aesthetic , it almost feels like it's asset flipping at this point

As fun as it is to see new roguelites and roguelikes, it'll take something stellar for me to give a try.
Gungeon, Spire, Hades, and Breach are hard games to match, much less top.
I suppose that's a stellar problem to have as a player, not so much as a game dev... I guess.
Just grab the mobile version to try for free instead of spending the $k or whatever for a port.
@@tymmezinni It's no really the money that's the issue. It's the time. Each of those games are about an hour per run, at the longest. And nicely enough, none of them have gotten tiring.
After that, I go to other hobbies like reading, or watching. So unless something stellar pops up, I doubt I'll make time for something else. Stuff like Double Challenge, Ascension, Heat, and Hard respectively from each game makes all of them quite the time sink I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.
@@theblackcoatedman6794 This is a game that was designed for mobile and is a good fit there, can waste a little time with it without having to invest enough to finish a run. It's also pretty light on monetization/begging, which is nice. More visibility on Steam but definitely in the "originally on mobile and better there" setups.
@@tymmezinni Hmn... If it is on mobile, might be worth a shot on the phone while I'm out doing errands. Can't exactly play my hour long games on the go.
