- Diamonds In The Rough was originally released on CD in 2008 as part of the DVD+CD release “Live in the LBC/Diamonds in the Rough”. It is a compilation of b-sides recorded during the making of the band’s self-titled 2007 debut, rarities, covers and other non-album tracks. The 2020 vinyl and digital release of the album has been remastered and is expanded by 5 tracks, featuring the unreleased track “Set Me Free” (recorded during the “Hail To The King” sessions). It also includes other hard-to-find tracks such as the fan-favorite “St, James”, “4AM” and “Lost It All”. The 16 track album also includes the band’s cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”, which originally came out in 2009 on the Warner Bros album “Covered”. The vinyl is released on limited edition clear vinyl.

Love this band. My son introduced me back when The Rev was alive. He was lucky enough to see them live back then at Download several times. He's 25 and has seen more talent in that festival every year than I could ever wish to see and I'm 54..Afterlife is still my fave song n video ( extended of course! )

Sounds a little bit like the chorus in A Little Piece Of Heaven mixed with The Wild Ride (Disney Land Acid Trip) and for good measure a little bit of Lost It All in there.

It was a collection of songs they'd written or performed for previous albums that never made it on. The only new thing in any of this is Set Me Free, which was written for Hail to the King, but didn't make the cut. Other songs in the streaming version of this album that weren't there were written and released alongside later albums, but not as part of the album, itself. These include 4 AM, St. James, and Lost It All. A little surprised they didn't throw their CoD songs into the mix, but that's not an problem, anyways.

LPGDICP mainly because mist A7x fans didn’t know about it unless they were really into their stuff. I’m glad I’ll finally be able to stream this album on other platforms and add it to my playlists though.

I find it crazy that there are fans who have never heard this! I still have my cd/dvd combo my dad bought for me at Zumies over 10 years ago. I’m glad more people can enjoy this awesome album.
Everyone always mentions the instruments and Matt's lead vocals but since high school, I've always been obsessed with those "oohs" background vocals in the chorus. The more these guys started doing harmonies early onthe better they got at writing backup vocals. This truly is a lost underrated gem from them. Wish they'd play it live.
