This is the Tim Buckley song I really like so much, especially (the first song.) The folky Tim before his music went in another direction and changed into some very strange vocals and arrangements. I like the second song too but not as much as the first song.
I am mad about Tim but can see why these songs did not make the album! He wrote much better songs than these for sure. Great vocal but the songs are kinda eh. for Tim anyway. Maybe he was trying to fulfill someone's idea of a hit?
I love these 2 songs! Lyrically, they're not the best but they sure capture the spirit of the time and Tim's voice never sounded better.
Tim was told by his record company and manager to "write a hit single". This is the result.
He was so young! Only 20... I've always loved Lady, Give Me Your Key. Such a beautiful song. Thanks once again Greg :)
