- My arrangement of Soaring over Hogwarts from the game Hogwarts Legacy, composed by J. Scott Rakozy. I haven't played the game, but the soundtrack is now one of my favorites. While it has its share of fast-paced and tension-filled tracks, as a whole it is filled with a rich orchestral sound, from the majestic Soaring over Hogwarts to the warm and cozy Common Room themes.
As for my performance, I'd say it turned out okay. The overall shape of the piece came through and there weren't any egregious errors (hopefully), but it could sound a lot more deliberate. There were several moments where lingering just a bit longer would have given the piece a lot more weight.
Most of my time was spent on the beginning of the piece, in particular the phrase at 0:16. Since higher notes tend to be more prominent, it's important to bring out the left hand melody. But each note still needs to fit within the phrase and have a nice sound.
I'm more happy with the second half. The climax especially was phrased nicely and didn't sound disjointed or harsh.
