Jurij does an excellent job and has done the prep on my boat for the last three seasons (antifouling, GelCoat polish and teak). If you have a boat in the Split area and need these services then let me know and I can put you in contact with Jurij. Hvala

That disappointing that the last application was done so poorly. Boat will be in great shape though when it is all done

Was it more cost for the crane to hold the yacht while they did the power washing or is it booked for blocks of time knowing this?

You pay additional for the power wash and that includes the time in the crane.

On the bright side: the boat will be much faster after this!
I just checked the Dutch prices. Let's say these are serious prices in Croatia where - compared to the Netherlands- the cost of living is much lower...

Are you saying the prices are higher or lower in the Netherlands (although the only price mentioned was the lift)?

@@davidllewelyn Prices run between 85 and 130 euros. Depends on the weight of the boat. Some harbours measure the height of the mast for their prices. But again: around 100 - 125 euros. Most marinas have a 'maintenance contract': one week on shore; 2x with the crane in and out; on stands, power-cleaning. Other jobs by yourself or third parties are allowed. Waste and debris management adds to the price. Between 275 and 305 euros. But when you're a 'regular' in the marinas, with a contract for a berth, the prices are -10 up to -18%. I'll ask around if there are other prices that I don't know of.

Thank you. Interesting to compare. Although, of course it depends on your contract with the Marina.

@@davidllewelyn Partly; marinas are 'lined up' here along the waterways and seaport marinas. So there's healthy competition between those who offer yacht services.
Last year we noticed that mooring prices without any services, other than a spot @ a ball are higher in Croatia than a spot @ a fully equipped marina here. Is that bad? No. The scenery, the tranquillity and the atmosphere, in general, make up for it. And I get that people are making a living out of it.
