    ★ INGREDIENTS:
    White onions 4
    Mortadella 3 and 1/2 oz (100g)
    Ground veal 1/3 lb (150g)
    Amaretti cookies 1 and 3/4 oz (50g)
    Egg 1
    Extra virgin olive oil to taste
    Breadcrumbs to taste
    Salt to taste
    String cheese slices 4
    Rosemary to taste
    Oregano to taste
    Clean the onions, remove the outer part, bring a pot of water to a boil, and cook the onions for 10 minutes. In the meantime, finely chop the mortadella, chop the oregano leaves and rosemary needles. Collect the mortadella and chopped herbs into a bowl. Add the ground meat, the egg, a pinch of salt and pepper, a drop of extra virgin olive oil, and the crumbled amaretti, taking care to set 4 cookies aside for later. Mix well and set aside. As soon as the onions are blanched, drain them and let them cool. Cut off the top and keep it aside; dig out the inside of the onion using a knife or a small digger. Chop the inside of the onion and add some of it to the filling. Do not throw the leftovers but use them for other recipes. Pour the extra virgin olive oil into the baking pan, place the onions on top, and fill them with the filling. If there is any leftover filling, make some meatballs and bake them together with the onions. Add the onion tops and a few sprigs of rosemary and oregano leaves. Sprinkle the filling with breadcrumbs, cover with a slice of string cheese, and crumble the leftover cookies on top. Sprinkle each onion with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F/180°C for 40 minutes. Serve piping hot!

    Davvero galattiche al quanto fantastiche anche queste, non mi stancherò mai e poi mai di ripeterlo in una continuazione, stasera le rifarò e poi le divorerò tutte e penso e credo che le rifarò anche a carnevale anche se poi dopo le lacrime scendono a cascate. Oggi mi avete fatto felice molto di più del solito con quest'altra nuovissima idea per carnevale, ne sarei molto onorato, bravissimi e non ho nient'altro da dire. 😍
