    • @IvanLeens
      @IvanLeens Před 2 lety +16

      1. Ask for LinkedIn references to your past employers / clients 👍🏼
      2. Use the option to add an audio and/or a short video in the profile picture area. That works great to connect with visitors, if you feel comfortable to do it.
      3. Activate the feature « providing services » if you are a freelance and do coaching or consulting for example. That’s an additional way to find you.
      4. Obvious but worth mentioning : activate the feature « open to work » only visible by people with a LinkedIn Recruiter account if you are interested in new opportunities. That’s the first thing we check when we make a search

    1. Optimize your header for keywords
    - include the keyword 'Data Analyst'
    - put important keywords in your headline just under your name
    2. Optimize your bio (the about section)
    - repeat the same keywords in the headline, and add more specific keywords
    - include contact details like phone and email
    3. Optimize job titles and previous work experience
    - under the job title, make a story, write down top results and achievements
    Bonus: add every single certification and license done in your profile
    4. Make your profile open internationally
    - add your profile in another language
    5. Make your profile personal
    - add a 'personable' photo of yourself
    - use a personal banner that shows something about yourself, like doing a hobby

  • @safatkhan676
    @safatkhan676 Před rokem

    Hey Stefanovic! Thanks for sharing your views. However, it isn't making all that much sense to me. Linkedin lets us meticulously list every single achievement and skill already within our profile. Why then wouldn't they pull out the keyword matches from those sections and display them to the recruiters irrespective of what you include in your header/bio? Not only the system has records of all the languages I know, it also knows in what degree/course/program I learnt it and in what projects/jobs I applied the skills. I simply don't understand why then we need to do this archaic early-internet-days styled keyword spamming?

    I worked at a car dealership as a valet driver however I essentially was commissioned to do a month long case study of productivity and offer solutions if any problems were found how can I implement this experience into LinkedIn?

    • @vivekjoshi3769
      @vivekjoshi3769 Před 2 lety +2

      Hi I know how hard it's to figure out the transferable skills. If you were a valet you get better at communication skills & soft skills too because you are driving people on everyday basis. So, in tech fields having soft skills is a good point.
      Apart from that you have done a case study, I assume you must have used some data and offer solutions(which is basically recommendations based on your observations/insights in data domain terms). You can frame something using the case study that it looks like you have a curiosity, a data detective skill. Also you offered solutions so you are Problem solver too.
      I understand what struggle you going through. I worked in hotel. I face similar situation because I couldn't add anything properly but I see you can use the case study thing to build your profile and reshape it in terms of analytical terms.

      @@kevinserrato6358 Not a problem friend. I think we need to keep evolving these things in order to move towards betterment. These are small things that move us towards big impacts in our life.
      Good luck with your job hunt. Bitter truth is it's really a rough ground for people coming from unrelated backgrounds like ours but we need to keep ourselves pushing and one day we will reach the light at the end of the tunnel. Have a great day/evening! Cheerz!
