  • My latest walk, and the first of the new year, took me up to Fleetwith Pike summit on a very cold winter's day. The snow had returned and the views were stunning.
I hope you like the video, please subscribe if you would like to see more of my videos of the stunningly beautiful Lake District mountains.
    Thanks for watching.

Yes, very enjoyable watch, especially in those proper winter conditions. I always go up the nose of Fleetwith Pike too, rather than the slate mine and always marvel at the views behind me as I go up. Only thing I do not like about this climb is the amount of false summits, I am sure there are more, every time I climb it! Cheers Alan

Ahh thanks, Alan. I've done this walk many times and it never disappoints. Thanks for watching, it's always appreciated.

Hi Mal I enjoyed you beautiful video very much especially with the snow covered peaks, It is my intention to visit Warnscale Bothy next year . Is best to start my climb from Buttermere direction or from Honister direction bear in mind I am a fit enough 70 year old male... Regards Tom

Hello, Tom. They're both great routes, but Buttermere is so stunningly beautiful that's it really doesn't matter. The view from Fleetwith Pike summit truly takes your breath away, so I would choose the direct route from Honister. Thanks for watching, Tom - it's really appreciated. Take care.
