The Stepford Wives is one of my favorite books and I loved the 1970s movie. It's the same author as Rosemary's Baby, I believe. Also a great book. That ending hit me hard.

Sounds like a fun read, satire when pulled off well can be entertaining, and at the very least it shows the depravity of overly intrusive HOAs among all the racism / sexism . Good review
