These days (thanks to the misuse and overuse of the word by the internet at large) "weeb" is more of a hardcore otaku than anything else, not quite what FF was complaining about back then, who were more like delusional people who thought Japan was some kind of impossible paradise on earth even though they knew nothing about the country outside anime and manga, hated anything non-japanese including themselves and the people around them and in general were pretty annoying.

Hey Sora I wanna tell you that I started playing VRChat and I found my own Usa chan.
What I mean is I found a girl that spent a lot of time with me and I did stupid things to her to make her laugh; she didn't speak Japanese tho. She's sick too so I always try to make her laugh to make her feels better. Her laugh is really cute so it's kinda make me feels better too in a way.
I didn't do direct harassment like Pantsu Nani Iro but I tend to prone in front of her when she's crouching to peek at her avatar's panties, and she's usually responded with laughter while running away.

i started off wanting to learn japanese just because of anime. But as i started watching videos about japanese culture and of people touring around japan, i actually wanna live there and experience the fullness of japan
(referring to 6:50) From the little Japanese learning I've had, i think people pick up on how you say the nande , shitumon words and how you pronounce the " I" I that and nanika.
Could be wrong. I'm used to ignoring accents, pronouncing difference and associating big words in different languages to weird things so i could be entirely wrong but listening again those stood out.
