It makes no sense to me why the old blink vids were recorded on what looks like a handy cam sold from Best Buy. And why cheetah who was supposed to be a professional videographer, shot things so poorly. Blink had a big budget, no reason they couldn’t have shot with pro grade cameras and lens’ and if they used film then it could have been converted properly to any quality today instead of trying to salvage quality from files that have already been deteriorated from repeat compression.
There are many factors that you don't have in mind... Everything Cheetah recorded was with a Digital8/MiniDV camera but to be able to upload it to the internet in the year 2000 to 2003 you had to rip it at a terrible quality, not like now, that's why come like this.
@@khaos182 oh no, I had that in mind. I do this for a living. What’s the excuse for not correcting it now? If done properly all the footage was digitized onto a hard drive in highest possible quality and backed up to another hard drive. So if we are talking about professionals here, then we got two hard drives with the highest resolution version of the footage that can now be corrected to look even better using our wonderful advancements in technology. So I guess the question is, who dropped the ball here? Bam margera was able to figure this shit out in the bedroom of his parents house. Even Steve O has his entire lifetime collection of footage properly digitized. You’re telling me blink making mega millions couldn’t hire a professional film crew. Lame.
@@mikeheroes5451 It takes a lot of time and money (paying other people to do all the sourcing, transferring, physically storing the old tapes) to create some kind of video vault. Whereas someone like Beyonce covets all the years' footage of her and keeps it in that pressurised chamber, I guess the members of Blink just don't care enough to want it or need it.
