I wanted to show you guys that you don't need to spend a fortune on super high end battery's to get good results from your offgrid setup.
I went with the @itechworld1 lithium batterys and inverter to give them a good thrashing so you guys can see if they hold up in the long run.
I haven't finished the testing fase yet but my initial thoughts are defiantly positive towards the product but only time will tell if it will all up

Your right about too many CZcamsrs just going over the top with pushing gear. It almost gets to the point that they have so much gear that it's lost the point of adventure travel. Once we get to the point we have got our full house out on the road we may as well just stop in our home. We do need more people just putting together a basic setup and just getting out there.

I still think there is a place for some of the high end fit outs the some ppl are getting, like full time travelers and company’s who are trying to show off their talent in what’s possible.
But too many ppl are getting systems 3-4 times what they actually need.
It’s still there right to do whatever they want.

I decided to go with Itechworld after watching your last video, for our new Austar Toyhauler build, 3x 200Ah, full electric no gas or diesel. I've also gone with Renogy gear, 3000w inverter/charger, 50A DCDC WITH MPPT and 100A MPPT plus 4x 200w solar panels on the roof, going budget has saved us close to $5k. Who knows may have to replace it in 5 years or may not!
Great content, love your honesty 👍🏻

Hey Steve. I installed almost the exact same electrical setup in my 15ft hybrid caravan (3 x 120X iTechworld LiFePO4 batteries, 3000W inverter & remote switch, changeover switch, 40A battery charger, RedArc RedVision system etc.) just after I got it a few months ago and as it happens, before I saw your video.
Like yourself, I went through all the trouble and cost for the same reasons as you - for the sake of making life easier and more comfortable for my two small kids (and missus). If it’s more enjoyable for them, it’s more enjoyable for me and they’re more likely to want to head out for trips … and I’m all about being offgrid as much as possible.
Further to that, I specifically bought a hybrid caravan that had bunk beds fitted for similar but absolutely necessary reasons.
The changeover switch works brilliantly and I originally got the idea of a sparky mate of mine when I asked him about running my aircon off my batteries. I helped him install it all and I also got him to install a switch for the solar feed to my 120X battery bank so that I can cut the feed in power (at about 85% max) when the caravan is parked up in my driveway and not being used for a while (to hopefully maximise the lifespan of my batteries). That said, the only other thing I want to do is beef up my fixed solar panel input but for the time being, I utilise the 800W of solar input I get from my Bluetti portable solar panels to boost the standard fit 300W fixed panels on my roof.
All the iTechworld gear is thus far working an absolute treat and I am SO happy with my electrical setup 😁
After a few trips away, I quickly found that the offgrid limiting factor is not my electrical system but with two small kids, it’s my water capacity so that’s also on the agenda. It’s definitely a labour of love when you have small kids that’s for sure 😜

Late last year I was considering a lithium set up for a caravan we were doing up . I came to the conclusion that it was a little too expensive for my budget . A few weeks later the Black Friday sales rolled around ( the one American trend I have no problem embracing).
I was able to buy my entire setup , 200ah battery, controller, inverter , portable solar panel , and charger , for only slightly more than the pre sale price of the battery . It pays to shop around .

It is a compressor fridge so it still runs off 12v.
The other benefits is that it powers all of the power points throughout the van and outside too.
So if I want to plug a laptop charger in it works
If I wanna plug the induction cooktop I’m outside, it works.
If I plug a tv in for tobz to watch something it works.
