This shit is gold. I hope they show it to the entire Bears offense during game review.
DEREK CARR NEXT 💯🔥
Mvp candidate Justin fields 😂😂😂😂
Doubt it.. "No outside noise".. Complete indictment on Getsy
They won't show it, too busy emphasizing the H.I.TS. Principle
Justin about to ask all monitors turned off
Us bears fans came here with 117 questions and left with 277 questions. What the actual HELL is our offense doing 98% of the time
One word answer: NOTHING. I thought Fields was the future but man, after watching this. He’s trash. These guys aren’t gonna be any more open. Especially in the NFL. He simply won’t make the throws he needs to even when the guys are open. ‘Bust’in Fields.
@@Nick9Three Relax man, we've seen him make those throws before. I have a feeling this is on the coaches. They may have over-corrected his aggressiveness in the offseason, which made him gun shy. That needs to be fixed ASAP
@@LucaTradez BINGO!!!
@LucaTradez I'd rather have him throw down field and risk an INT like Josh Allen instead of this checkdown charlie bullsh*t
@@Nick9ThreeYeah man i thought it was the play calling until i watched this. Fields is 80% to blame for the offense doing nothing. So many plays that looked good here and he just doesnt attempt to throw it.
So the Bears coaching isn't letting Fields blossom into his true full potential. We wasted what could have been perhaps a competent QB. What's the point of drafting if their coaching is setting players up to fail?
IS DAILY DOSE OF INTERNET A BEARS FAN?!??
Ehh Fields just sucks
My god Daily dose is a bears fan? Finally something good for us.
Nop wonder you make those videos. You need some joy as a Bears fan.
Except Fields is blowing off open looks. Can't anticipate and has poor vision.
“Maybe it’s the bleeding edge of pass pro innovation… I doubt it just based off the rest of this film” this is when I knew I was in for a treat 😂
Idk if I'm ready for this..
It's an hour long 😳
Me either…
No one is.
Fr.. it’s an hour long too😢
I know I'm not
as a bears fan we need The QB School on our coaching staff
He's a QB savant, not a RB coordinator.
I think he’s being stubborn. Won’t admit he was wrong about fields, either that or doesn’t want to piss off all the Ohio st fans that watch. He should just say fields sucks and can’t even run a basic offense. He’s a wild cat qb at best.
No we need competent ownership
Amazing work video!
@@santaclause3487you clearly haven’t watched this channel for long.
I've been a bears fan for 45 years... I have never been so bummed before after watching this, this is so eye opening........ Thanks for the work you do here at The QB School
56 year Bears fan here, and I feel exactly the same. I prayed they’d trade JF during the offseason because I didn’t see any progress last year. He was terrible on Sunday, but I didn’t appreciate how terrible until I watched this. I watch every second of every game, but I honestly don’t know how much I can take.
You got me to subscribe with the "Fields hasn't seen 10 block on film". Spot on dude. Your breakdowns are awesome. Thank you
An hour?! I’m not looking forward to this. But I’m still going to watch, obviously.
20 minutes in, and the amount of “WTF is going on” plays is hilarious. And exactly how it felt watching the game.
Justin made his mistakes, clearly, but this game was a giant WTF?
Same here, the coaching staff absolutely destroyed our shot at winning this game, and they may end up destroying Justin's career in Chicago. It's beyond frustrating
@@stevep2760left with more questions than we came in with.
As a packers fan here I’m so glad you made this video. I was BAFFLED at how good we looked. Little did I know we where up against… this.
I was really hoping Fields looked just slightly better so the Bears would be dumb enough to extend him
Lol it's like hoping they resign jay cutler. bears o line was playing so shitty, packers front d line was confused lol
Literally my thoughts exactly. I was like oh damn our defense is incredible!……the fuck were the bears DOING?😂😂
We were the worst team last year. I am not surprised. Now, some Packer fans think they played very well. We were just that bad.
I loved this video
The right guard, Nate Davis, you can count on one hand how many practices he was in throughout all of OTA’s, mini camp, training camp and preseason. We paid premium dollars for several years for him.
😱
Fact
Was he hurt?
@@toweypat I'm honestly curious also
@@toweypat The story is he was hurt but likely more like his wife wants a divorce and trying to work through it because she didn't want to move to Chicago.

Please don't stop.
I found myself laughing out loud multiple times with some of these. These breakdowns are so good man.
As they say...tape don't lie.
This was kind of brutal to watch, but JT made it hilarious
Such a great breakdown, but so painful to watch. WTF are the Bears doing? They need to fire the entire offensive coaching staff and start over if the game at Tampa is as bad as this.
the entire bears team lacks any sense of purpose or drive. Fields is only part of the problem. the O line SUCKS the play calling SUCKS, the routes run SUCK the position coaching SUCKS the game plan was a JOKE. Your analysis is spot on. Thank you for sharing.
Man it’s like watching Matt Nagy offense all over again hella plays outta shotgun instead of letting Justin be an athlete
@@E_tiBEAMERBOYthat was my biggest fear. It's history repeating itself all over again. A QB who needs to develop as a paser and a bunch of coaches who are killing everything they do well to try to get them to be a pocket passer before they're even ready
Not according to the stats. "The #Bears Offensive Line, who took some heat after week 1, ranked 14th in Pass Block win rate and 5th in Run Block win rate. Many suspected a decent amount of the pressure was on the QB, next gen numbers seem to agree."
Fields sucks, he holds the ball too long, can't process what he's seeing quickly and get throw the ball. He's not an NFL QB, stop making excuses for him bum ass
Cole Kmet should feel embarrassed about this game. WTF kinda effort was that? I know the Bears don't have a lot of talent on the offensive side but you have to at least try. If you see this film as a coach you gotta think about benching him cause he's literally out there half ass-ing everything. What a joke
@@AllDay3004 Did you watch this? He had plenty of plays to take advantage of his skills, he just sucks at reading a defense. It doesn't matter what plays you call, the dude just can't find open guys.
50:00 "I've said all I can say politely," was a great turn of phrase. Love the work JT, even when it's painful offense.
Problem with Fields is that he doesn't use his scrambling to extend the play...he just breaks the pocket and runs too quickly. But it all starts with the line sucking and making him panic every play.
I was going to suggest the patented mid-2010s "Russell Wilson rolls out right and still throws a lawn dart" move, but even that doesn't sound feasible.
As a Bears fan this needed to happen. Thanks for giving us all a deeper understanding JT
This shit hurts my heart bro.. so bad bro
how many times does it need to happen for Bears and their fans?
This video was literally just a bears roast session... and the analysis on this channel is unbiased so you know it's bad... bears poverty Holy shit
@@stonecold5373 It's like the Chargers, Jets, Giants and until recently, Lions. Like the franchises are just cursed. As he said 3/4 of the plays were good concepts, fields just didn't pull the trigger. and the others were a fucking meme. So when you have a great play that works the players don't block, or hit the wide ass open guy, and when they call the meme everyone is busting trying to make it work. All I can think is they need to do the Pats test on players. Get the guys who are great at 1 thing and only use them for that 1 thing, and get guys who want to win, not just cash a check. Half that oline looks like they didn't give af if the won or lost, or if their qb could walk the next day. It's everywhere, but really it's effort and consistancy from the coaching to the players and honestly to the front office for putting that shit show together.
Might be time to burn it down, completely clean house, and try and do it right. Worked for the Lions.
@@michag4337we burnt down and sold house last season, what everybody is doing right now is overreacting to a ton of players who have never played together and barely got to practice together before week 1. So many good teams look terrible week 1. We don’t know what the bears are yet. Still
In my years as a patreon sub and follower I haven’t heard this many F bombs or seen JT this heated. Also appreciate you holding them all accountable INCLUDING Justin because the turn downs are brutal
Everytime JT drops an F bomb or starts laughing it cracks me up, especially on the 2 pt conversion.
One of the few who is holding Justin accountable. Not all on him by any means, but there were some bad misses on his part. Missed reads happen, but not this many if you want to be a winning QB
The clap at the beginning was noticeably louder
I think they r coaching it
Dude, I totally appreciate the way you broke it down for us fans. It was the nastiest start of a Bears season, that I can remember. Justin fields needs to subscribe to your channel.
JT you had me laughing out loud while also crying inside 😂. This was an incredible analysis
This was awesome. I can’t imagine the time this took, and to put it on CZcams for free was a gift
You are a gift to football nerds everywhere man. Another really insightful video that, as a Bears fan, makes me cringe so hard I think I’m having body cramps.
I loved your analysis. One hour went by so fast. That is how much I loved your video. It was actually more fun to watch than watching the actual game.
I guess the length of this video shows you truly care about fields’s development and growth as a passer and are not giving up on him yet
He hasn’t given up on fields but I think I have. His passing performance is so abysmal it’s really hard to see a future for him.
fields stinks!
@@Ian91911yeah with terrible coaching, play calling, and WRs to assist with that.
@@stevencoley659 Occam's Razor and the Mk. 1 eyeball tell us Fields is the issue.
@@stevencoley659100% dude his coaches obviously aren’t helping at all his development hasn’t really been noticeable because the Bears are terrible with staff decisions
Packers fan, but the RB chase down on the pick 6 looks like Roschon Johnson. He was overshadowed by Bijan on the Longhorns, but dude is amazing. Low key pissed the Bears got him 😂. High effort dude, and he has the physical traits to back it up.
Roschon is about the only bright spot in this video! Claypool and Kmet? Woof!
thats roschon johnson
As a Bears fan, you’re welcome that we schedule our preseason games week 1 of the regular season.
@@dancarnine6507 I thought they were always scheduled for whichever two weeks they play the Packers.
He knows who it is. He just tries to avoid calling out player names for either good or bad. Like obviously he knows claypool is 10 but never calls him out by name.
This had me legit belly laughing on multiple occasions. Love it!!
It's tough being a Bears fan these days, it seems like our coaching and scheming just holds us back no matter how good of players we get. It's like we don't see what the most successful teams are doing and try to copy them a little bit. This season is really going to be a turning point for Fields development.. we know he can run, let's get him to pass just as well.
The bears are barely a better org than Arizona or Detroit historically. They're ass
Pretty sure this hour long video shows in detail that you still don’t have good players man
Thank you for pointing out Fields' slow dropback. Not sure if he's being coached that way, but it has always bothered me about his game. You get 2.5 seconds (if you're lucky) in the NFL to make a throw, got to have some urgency!
thank you I've been saying this forever I thought I was the only who noticed this
With the bears they get 1.5 seconds on average lol he’s always getting pressured o line can not block!
Watch his breakdown of Tyson Bagent…all the tools are there and the drop back is fast AF…not sure what the deal is with JF1?
(I'm sure it's not the case, but...) He looks like his #1 option is to find an excuse to scramble.
He plays QB like a punt returner.
Him having such a slow chill drop back makes no sense when the O-line is as awful as it is 🥴
I love the passion you show in these videos good or bad. I'm always looking for more of these.
Keep up the great work.
Glad you like them!
@@TheQBSchoolI’m digging the new vibe in this breakdown! Went scorched earth, take no prisoners, loved it. Learned a lot, laughed a lot more. Seeing a dumpster fire like this at the NFL level top to bottom, from the play calling, to the execution, to effort was eye opening. In my wildest nightmares I never imagined it could ever get that awful. Maybe make this a returning -Bears- series!
The back who gave great effort during the pick-6 play was fourth-round rookie Roschon Johnson.
He should get ready to tote rock more going forward just because of that effort being on film
Start Rochon Sunday. That pick 6 play seals it for me. We need players that care. He cares.
I think I laughed harder at this recap than I did at the Bears during the game. Thanks for not actually bleeping this! ❤
that part where he said, Justin thinks number 10 is going to block, but he must not know #10 that well... had me rolling
This video helped to reign in my expectations for the Packers Defense
No doubt. Barry's Zone D just looks so static and FULL of holes. The schedule is weak but this D is gonna get the Packers bounced out of any playoff game. #fml #GoPackGo
They will get better
@@JohnStockton7459 we have great players but barry is destroying this defenses potential. At least they are running more stunts so far.
Y'all just finding any reason to hate on Barry at this point, even after a good week. Make it make sense.
@@TheBrotherHoodSportsThey gave up 20 to this absolute shitshow of an offense, I feel like thats worth criticizing.
Exactly what I was looking for. Love it! Watching the all 22 here and sorely needed a breakdown.
First time watching this channel and I love it. Straight football talk breakdown plays a bit of cursing lol. Definitely going subscribe and watch all season.
Nice. Thanks.
Thank you for this film study. I'm 63 years old, played football and watch as much as I possibly can, but I spent the afternoon completely LOST. Zero idea what this offense was trying to do. Glad to know that I wasn't alone. Anyone else we me?
This is the worst oline I’ve possibly ever seen. 49ers fan since 1983. This is bad😬😬🫣🫣🫣🫣
The last time I watched Fields play it was against the Lions where the Bears lost in a blowout. A lot of the same issues....bad O-line play. Fields not protecting the football. Hesitation and not letting it rip.
Part of the problem is being an OSU QB. The have recruited so many great receivers that the QB is used to having 3 receivers with 5-8 yards of separation. Most teams they played against were lucky to have 1-2 decent cover guys. JT points out plays that are "NFL Open"...a smaller window that is there for the taking but he doesn't trust it enough to let it rip.
I'm in Detroit and I wonder how Fields would do with our very good O-line, a good coordinator in Ben Johnson, a good running game, etc.
Fields needs to improve a lot but are the Bears putting him in a position to succeed? I don't think so.
JT was spot on in regards to designed runs...where were they? In the Lions game he popped 2 long runs early for about 90 yards or so. He's a great runner, use them legs.
An hour long video oh we are cooked
I actually was laughing so hard at 2 of the bears OL plays. One was when he was singing B-E-A-R-S 😂😂
This is gold JT. As is everything else on your channel. It's great to learn the nuances of the game and see a breakdown the way you do it
Glad you enjoy it!
Oh god. This is gonna be rough.
yah =/
The Eberflus tenure may be short-lived in Chicago. I get that he's a defensive guy, but this is an hour breakdown of players that are either making mistakes in execution or mistakes in gameplan, even plays. Bad plays are easy to blame but the poor execution is a worse indictment of the coaching staff.
A defensive coach for a team that gives up 31 points that heavily invested in defense. It is only week 1, but what a bad start.
It never felt like Eberflus was the guy. I felt it from the start. This team is terrible it starts from coaching.
"He looks like he's doing Bearjacks." I cracked up!
I think you did a good job showing the poor play by the other bears, poor playcalling but also the problems that were Fields fault
If you're a Bears fan and this is your first time watching JT break down Getsy's offense, just know that the design flaws all over the place here were also in the offense last year.
This is a very scary place to be in. I was willing to look past a lot of rough play last year because the roster was so *cough* intentionally *cough* thin, but seeing these imbalances in the offense persist and no growth take place over the course of the off-season is very likely a harbinger of what is to come, even if it is just one game.
Not calling deeper passing concepts while down 10, 14 and 17 points was very eye opening for me. I figured last year they started doing that to protect Justin from longer dropbacks in the pocket behind a weak line, but now you are stuck with one of two very bad problems:
1) Either the line still hasn't improved enough to call 'big boy' passing concepts, at which point you have to ask: when will it ever? Will you ever be able to build a wall for Justin to develop behind if that truly is the issue for him?
2) OR, After an entire off-season, Luke Getsy still doesn't trust Justin to throw the ball around the field, even when the Bears have plus weapons and are down multiple scores.
Neither answer is a pleasant one, but the reality at this point is one or both of those things are true. I know it's just one game, but it's the season opener. This is the healthiest this team will ever be, with the most time possible to prepare for a game.
Not sure if u watched the video but there were like at least 5 plays where he had deep ball options wide open and just went checkdown
@dungeonhustler I did and I also watched the game. I understand that, but even still you can't tell me the sheer number of runs, screens and underneath concepts called while down by 2 scores isn't/wasn't alarming.
Do you trust Fields to do that? I don't. Look at how many poor reads he has in this video. Even if you called deeper plays, would he throw it?
@@TheMattTrakker I think they coached the good stuff OUT of Fields. His deep ball is one of his strengths....
Doesn't help that Fields sucks and can't read a defense.
Amazing level of effort and detail. Please keep making these forever lol

Feel like im getting a patron video for free. 1 whole hour? Your the man JT thank you, sincerely a sad bears fan

Honestly I think Justin is panicking. Every QB sacked as much as him in his first 2 years is pretty much shell shocked by year 3 sadly.
It's sad.
Its the same shit that happened to mitch shit OL and playcalling has fucked them both mentally
So sad but true
He doesn't look like he has the fundamentals down. He is using pure athleticism and having to think out everything. I don't know if that is a coachable fix on his what 5th? 6th? year of high level QB play (college and pros)
@@OldSchoolGM94 His issues can easily be coached. He needs a good coach and supporting staff for that to happen, which Chicago does not have.
As a Bears fan, I've been eagerly awaiting your analysis. Thank you for identifying the problems. It makes me less frustrated. I worried for this type of performance after seeing your analysis of Fields' last preseason game. You called it brother!
Solid breakdown. I learned a ton more from you calling out the mistakes, of what not to do. Thx for the hard work.
The o line for the bears was just tragic imo pocket kept collapsing on fields.
Stop with that nonsense.
Bustin Fields doesn't get rid of the ball quickly so it it makes the o line look way worse.
@@IstealXmas how is that nonsense you can see from watching the game fields pocket collapses in 3 seconds. And your right field’s ofc made mistakes and probably held the ball longer then he should’ve some plays.

22:33 Their right guard is Nate Davis, who's really solid. He just finished three good years (PFF grade 68 or better) with the Titans. Seeing him look that lost is really making me wonder what the Bears are telling him to do.
😂😂😂 he didn’t practice till a few days before for “personal reasons” dude is clearly 💩 I thought well if he does good it’s okay. He’s so bad why didn’t the idiot practice.
Nate Davis has barely been on the field the entire offseason. First he skipped OTA’s then in camp he had some combination of personal reasons and mystery injuries that kept him off the field. I thought he was going to be solid and I hope it’s simply a lack of snaps that he’s played with the Bears that made him look so bad and that he can improve.
@@shawnmurphy2797Gotcha, that's the part of the story that I was missing.
@@kccarnine2124Vrabel literally said he didn't want players on his team that didn't practice. He might have been good on talent those first couple years but after a while, if you're not practicing you're gonna end up clueless.
The Bears feel like watching one of those old electric football table games where the board vibrates and everything kinda moves around at random. No real cohesion, not really setting up future plays with previous ones, just chaos.
Love the subtle shots at Claypool 😂
i feel like i spread the shots around
Oh for sure. And plenty of deserved blame to go around.

Wow, your video on Justin Fields is more than an hour. I’m used to shorter videos of yours. As much as I love Justin Fields and want him nothing but success. I gave up on the Bears after Sunday. The whole franchise, the coaches, the coordinators, the players, everything went wrong with this Green Bay game.
Outstanding breakdown
Really enjoy pointing out the high effort plays like #23 on that pick six. Definitely makes you appreciate the player and want to root for him.

He right… Fields has loads of ability but damn the lack of urgency is killing me. Nothing sudden even at end of the game
I really hope Field’s epilepsy medication isn’t the cause of him not seeing the field, slower processing is a known potential side effect
Bro…I literally just made a comment about this…It struck me when JT mentioned in the video about vision issues…that’s the first thing I thought of was the epilepsy.
I thought about this as I was walking back to the parking lot after the game. Not so much as the medication being the problem as you did. But just in generally having something to do with it. Could be something to it.
@@Albrwn2 …yeah man…I’m not a doctor but there might be some processing of information difficulties going on here with JF1 and his epilepsy. Amazing video as always. Keep it up JT!
It almost feels like Fields is in some Maverick time warp where he just lost Goose and he cant engage because the shots not there!
I am so grateful for your very honest and clear analysis. My brother and I were yelling (stupidly) at Fields to throw down the field. We saw these plays the way you're seeing them and it makes me question Fields ability to read the defense and to see the open receivers. It's as though everything goes too fast for him and he gets confused. As a Bears fan I want him to succeed but I'm not confident after this game. I like Fields, he works super hard, he's a fantastic person, and is very talented athletically but he doesn't process information the way a great QB needs to. I second Steve's comment below, show this review to the Team!!!
or he dont trust his Wr.... and wont throw to them unless they are open, OR the Coaching staff is telling him to do this, we dont know whats going on JT dont either.......thats the sad parrt

I'll be honest, I left feeling a little worse. Sure, the Bears getting roasted is great, but what if we only beat them because they are fucking awful? They made a ton of mistakes. I hope we're up to play more disciplined teams, because I don't think Detroit will look that bad!
A lot of teams looked bad week 1, even the very talented ones.. hopefully you guys don't win another game, because y'all not that good either

as a packer fan this was fun for a while. but eventually even i found it deflating...literally every other game is going to be harder. probably including bears pt 2, they can't be this bad again.
Don’t underestimate us 😂 we may be even worse next time
Brother we’re gonna be worse by that point, we’re the Bears lmao.
I love these videos. Great analysis and breakdown.
I love your vids man. Just found ya about 2 weeks ago.
As a Packers fan, I’m feeling more confident after watching this video.
I say y’all are still a question mark . Fields is definitely a bust in my eyes who scared to throw in the middle .and our D is still very new. New players and switching to 4-3
As a Bears fan, this is amazing stuff, thanks for the work you do!
They’ll totally fry Fields’ career I’m sure, but it’s breakdowns like this that I hope get to the mainstream to show people how HORRIBLY the coaching is failing him. Kid could throw in college, everyone wants to act like he’s Tebow. It’s gross.
Except half his criticisms are about Fields being trash and completely overlooking reads. The excuses run out this year.
@@ninjalbatross count again, starts with coaching. And the only positive I heard at all was a throw or two he praised Fields’ anticipation. It’s 90% coaching failure. The scheme is garbage. If the same players had the Colts staff they’d look far more competent, or at least have the CHANCE to be competent.
He’s not Tebow but he’s just not a good Quarterback. He’s got all the tools, but his execution and processing just isn’t where it needs to be to find success throwing in the NFL. I agree that the coaching staff is failing him to a degree, but there were plenty of instances of Fields missing wide open throws.
@@s.strong4233 he has no chance with the coaching, that’s the main takeaway from the video. If he had the chance Hurts had or Richardson is getting and still failed, then it’s on him.
The guy out-passed Lawrence straight up head to head and wasn’t even considered a running qb coming out of college. How quickly we forget.
Because QB who can throw at Ohio state can throw in the NFL lmfao
Tough film but great analysis. Ty for the care and effort you put into this
This entire game made me sick to my stomach. As a Bears fan, football life seems very unfair. The football gods hate us & I'm sorry for whatever we've done. 😢🐻⬇️
Probably for not letting Walter score in the SB.
Phenomenal review. Please keep doing these of Fields / Bears QBs.
Judging by field’s performance his first 2 years. JT can do 25 videos on fields lmfao
But it’d be the same thing for each video. Same mistakes, same missed reads, same failed read, etc.
That 3rd and 1 and 4th and inches did it for me.... 3rd and 1 and we do the Nagy special (a trick play that no one expects, not because its crazy good, but because its the absolute dumbest option available; a TE sneak)... and the 4th and 1 also a Nagy special (a play or 2 too late)
Looked like a 1st down to me both times..
Neither was. Wasn't really that close either
Great breakdown. Love the channel
An hour long breakdown 🔥🔥 is there in-depth breakdown like this of Fields every week on Patreon? If there is I'm joining
This informative video needs to be sent to all involved in the Bears offense.
This is pretty much a total indictment of Getsy and the coach who lets him keep his job.
Dude this is the best football channel!!!! Subbed!!!💪
And here you see why it’s so important for young QBs to sit and learn. The fact the Love came up in LeFluer’s system and the fact Rodgers took time to help him is showing and us Packers fans can’t be happier
Also its important to have good o line and play calling. The Packers have that. Bears not.
If that's the case, Fields was doom from the start, cuz when he got Drafted, we had to deal with Andy Dalton, and he damn near got benched for Fields
It’s so funny to see how the tone has changed lmao
What sucks the most about being a bears fan, is that yeah sure fields could definitely be playing better and definitely misses a lot of things, but also it’s like they’re not even giving him a chance. We spent so much money and none of it actually improved the holes and needs, and then on top of that our offensive scheme and design do NOT cater to him in any way.
