I was a bit bummed it was so quiet and kinda got drowned out quite a bit, that double bass in this song is quite beastly and one of the best parts of this song!

Yeah this album is very muddy, I had kind of skipped through it before and thought it was pretty good compared to the last one. Went back to listen to the album version of this song and it's so muddy
@@Terminxman was probably trey’s doing. Fairly sure he did the same thing with Heretic where it wasn’t mastered so it’d sound really raw, but I have to agree as much as I love both albums for the songs/sound - it does sound muddy

I imagine their drummer is a cardio God, with possibly the strongest calf muscles ever witnessed.
Alexander Lawrence man, you'd be surprised how many sick extreme metal drummers there are out there that could pull this off and more with no sweat. Practice makes for some crazy instrumentalists. Passion fuels it.

It sounds like mud, even on good sound systems. There's so much compression that everything sounds smeary. Compare that to their 90s work where everything sounds distinct but tight.

Trey gives no fucks. He wants that shit low and muddy. And there's nothing you can do to stop him. What a band. One of a kind.
This new drummer can probably play all sorts of death metal styles but he chooses to stay true to their original drummers style of drumming, especially the use of sporadic double bass and his placement of drum fills. He sounds like he is trying to play his drums in the style of Morbid Angel, rather than forcing his own style in the band in order to glorify himself. I am also impressed with the fact that these drums were all mic'd up and un-edited. It is a little weird seeing this, I cant tell if Adult Swim is making fun of these bands, but then again I imagine it still adds fans to the genre nevertheless.
