  • There's a forgotten gospel called "The Ascension of Isaiah" that preserves an early Christian belief that Jesus was a great angel from heaven, not a man from earth, and in that gospel he was killed by demons. It's one of the strangest and most beautiful pieces of mythology ever written, and it might just be what Paul believed.

My trinity is Dr price as the father, Dr Fitzgerald as the spirit and carrier as the son. Great video as always!

*Tell me S/Paul wasn't aware of this fable and incorporated much into his Xstainity...*

@Dharma Defender *You see this is a serious problem with you [young atheists?] defenders of the non-faith in that you have not correctly parsed what I have written. Your zeal has exceeded your import of the comment and you have deemed me among the faithful.*
*The question is in a negated form so the challenge is to prove that Paul didn't have sources. You can almost reconstruct his resource library from his plagiarism.*
*As far as your comments goes it was 11 minutes ago versus 3 weeks ago when I commented and I would have responded sooner but I was on a lively Pine Creek live chat so was distracted.*
*Rightfully you have stated 'known source' which I imagine will fall as the library of Ashurbanipal and other works are fully translated.*

@Dharma Defender *Your inability to read & comprehend the English language severely impairs your ability to respond to the point of a comment & your spurious and non-related response is what I called out.*
*I stated exactly that now three weeks later you opined and then because you misread my comment acted like a dick and attacked your own argument fully three weeks late...*

@Dharma Defender *OK. I challenge you to reread my initial comment. If you cannot see what is said it is time for you to return to your parent language where you can understand the prose of the language...*

It's actually a very elegant mystical concept re solving the problem of the temple and a lot better mythology than the gospel tales.

Why are people trusting these fables? The "Ascension of Isaiah" cannot be trusted as truth it contradicts the truth of how Christ was born. It says in chapter 11 of the "Ascension of Isaiah" that Mary was pregnant for 2 months and then Christ appeared next to her so she didn't actually give birth! But in the Scriptures in Luke 1:56 it says Mary stayed with her cousin Elizabeth until the 3rd month of her pregnancy. Then in Luke 2:5 it says Mary was great with child, meaning she didn't give birth at just 2 months, neither did Christ just appear next to her without her actually giving birth! Also in Luke 2:23 it says every male that opens the womb.... so this book " Ascension of Isaiah" is not truth!

None of it is truth. All of it is mythology. Including all the "Lukes".

I’m sorry you missed that the only claim here is that there were people around during the writing of the NT who held these beliefs.
You are projecting way more truth claims and straw men into this than are actually here, then you refute these irrelevant claims/straw men with evidence the audience already rejected before you came along.
