Is something wrong with the Saucony Kinvara Pro?

- This is my honest (as always!) review of the Saucony Kinvara Pro, a shoe that only has Kinvara as a name and not much in common with the legendary Saucony franchise. I'm answering your questions on this shoe and explain why it doesn't work for me.
Let me know in the comments what you think.
Cheers,
Alex

This is a great shoe (IMHO). I saw some bad reviews about this shoe on CZcams and still wanted to try these shoes, so I purchased them, and I'm glad I did. Not every running shoe has to feel like a pillow for it to be good.
Absolutely love this shoe. One of my favorites this year. Especially great at easier paces. Super efficient with the rocker and well-balanced cushioning. At least for my midfoot stride.
I've heard some truly good things about this shoe, especially as a training and racing shoe for ultras.
I can imagine why it ultras might be a purpose for this shoe. Sadly it’s not my distances and I quite comment on how they’d perform.
shoes are tools, sure there are some really bad shoes (no name or very entry level "running" shoes) but from all I can gather this is a shoe that works really well for some people with their specific biomechanics and use case and poorly for others, so great job Sauconey at creating a specifc tool. I find the naming a bit confusing as well, but the intention was not an elite super trainer but to tone it down and make that concept more mass compatiple. Its not a racer like the Pro 3 but per Saucony it is just as efficient as the Pro 3 at lower speeds (but less efficient at higher speeds), giving a more digestible option for slower runners. Sure CZcams/we love hearing what the supposedly "best" shoe is, but in reality that is always only true for a small group of people with similar needs and for everyone of us the ideal shoe is probably something else than for the next person.
Best shoe ever had! Used for training, full Ironman, works for me!
Very good system of review 🎉
To @flatfootedrunner, this makes me intrigued. When my last Zoom Fly 4 gets retired I might try it based on your question alone. Zoom Fly 4 was my marathon paced shoe, and the K-Pro seems more like it.
Nothing is wrong. I love them. I hate super soft foams that sink in. You guys shouldn’t pick a shoe based on one person’s review. Buy from running warehouse. If you don’t like, send it back. Free returns. But if you like super soft shoes with that sink in feel, this isn’t for you.
I’m with you. Just my opinion and it’s probably only 100% applicable people with similar body type and running style as me. Thanks a lot for your comment
I love the Saucony Speed and Pro 3, so I figured I would also like the Kinvara Pro. Frankly, I thought you and everyone else was exaggerating about this shoe being a brick. I took the Kinvara Pro for a long run this morning and it was terrible. It took so much effort to run in this shoe and it did indeed feel like a brick. I will no longer use it.
If Saucony has taken away Endorphin Shift and introduced this as new Shift, this would get a lot more positive feedback. Kinvara Pro name didn't help it. The design is also appealing for stability shoe wearers due to inherent stability. This is a great shoe for Slow Long Distance Runs.
I just tripped and felt on my very first 1km run on this shoe. The sole grip is too strong and easily tripped. Happened on a running track that I have been running for more than 7-8 years. First time I tripped and felt.
I probably wouldn’t like this I love super soft running shoes
Really want the sc trainer v2 but the price is a joke
The Kinara line makes no sense anymore.
This is not Kinvara. Regular Kinvara line is continuing with Kinvara 14. This is a totally different shoe with an unfortunate name choice.
It's a brick.. I also don't like the New Balance SC Trainer V2.
Hi, which one are you using? boston 12? on cloudeclipse? thanks
@@r.cordis8251 Boston 12.
Wjy wouldn't you like SC trainer V2
@@SamSam-wl1jo To soft and heavy for me.
People... save your money and just buy the Kinvara 14 !!!
