Can't believe you nursed that thing back Cap. More of a colander than a jug....Brilliant entertainment. Thank you!
I was watching him floundering about and then I realized, he's going for it! You crazy CAP!
Had me on the edge of my seat for the entire last 30 minutes.
That Me pilot needs to go back to school!
OMG. All those warbirds and no-one crashed on take off
Does it still count as a successful, all objectives completed mission for GR if no one crashed on takeoff?
@19:09 HAHA lovely 'Fury' Moment right there!
Always the dramatic pilot, Cap had an interesting sortie. And stuck it on the belly landing...good mission to watch. Thanks to all GR’s !
Wowwww. Very exciting stuff. Well done GR and many thanks for the video. Kind regards, Nick
Great piece of flying Cap. Well done!
Best video on what the Jug is really like in DCS. Great job.
Tumbling around while shooting the MGs in all directions, then running away? Not really...
I turned out to be a real sweet piece of kit.
Cap, that was the best flying i ever saw in DCS...chapeaux
thx
Wow......I biting my nails watching Cap's performance. Good work! I'm lovin' the P-47 so far. I wish they would fix the map so it isn't stuck at 0 Deg. C.
I was trying to take a quiz and the entire time I had to keep looking back and every time it amazed me how Cap managed to survive that.
Best catch phrase ever "You got girlfriend" pure gold
That was a brilliant P 47 performance Cap ! I remember you not being fond of it at first.
How times change...
That was EPIC, Cap!
Cap did some amazing flying. Really enjoyed watching this episode!
That was some spectacular flying cap
thxx
Awesome !!
Man, looks like soooooo much fun 👏🏾
Top flying Cap.... Great Vid and what a bird...
Okay that was an awesome chase. Nice flying cap.
A ton of fun and yes the 47 survived !!
No crashes on takeoff? In warbirds? What have u done with the real Grim Reapers?
The power of vid editing...
Brilliant ! loved this mission .
OMG this was a great escape ! Will watch it again now for sure !!!!!
( In the voice of Major Payne ) Killing Is The Grim Reapers Business ladies, AND BUSINESS IS GOOOOOD!
Awesome fight, got a couple of kills. Great fun. 👍
Great show all!!! Medal goes for that Who reborned with that P-47, CAP you gave us real good fun.
That was a fellow Jug at 26:34. shame on you Cap:))))))
I got a little excited...
That was absolutely amazing.
Cap, after that performance you are the G.O.A.T in that Jug!!
11:28 chills
Well I am seriously impressed CAP, that was one hell of great show of defensive flying.
This was better than a war movie WOOHOOO!... Glad I'm not a nail-biter or I wouldn't had any fingers left ha ha ha ha...
Keep up the awesomeness, CHEERS!
BTW.. Think you lost the right engine cover... :P
Capt love it! Get some!
Just incredible entertainment. I have always loved the Mighty Jug.
I have no idea why, but it looks like it's going faster/higher speeds in this video compared to when you are flying actual fast jets.
That was amazing good shit 👍
Epic Return Home, to belly land.
Great demonstration of control here Cap!! And yes... briefings are there for a reason. Was looking dicey for a while but, 'Jug take punishment... Jug keep flying!'! Job well done
23:50 When they say "merge" ... they don't mean it literally.
33:30 annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd Safe!
That was incredible haha
RC is brilliant amazing human
Is this RC's mom again?
I don't understand why repeatedly diving didn't get him up to FL4.
wow kiling by smashing and surviving such hit into nazi was marvelous :D
Blue started in my home town! Where was the invite?!
sorry
My poor heart...!!
Good fun vid, the P47D is a good module, easy to fly and a bit of a game changer, as it can take a kicking. Y ou can go defensive for a good bit of time.
The question is it as good as the Bf 109, Fw190 A8, P-51 and the legendary Spitefire modules, only time will tell.
I really appreciated your missing man formation. Can you please do one for Wing Commander Nauman Akram?
Will investigate.
Great job handling that Jug, Cap. You had me cracking up over your running commentary (as usual). Your flips at the top of each climb were epic. If you didn''t have a shot up elevator and a few missing cylinders I am sure you could have turned the tables. Please read the following account of Robert Johnson's (Top 56th FG Ace) similar experience in a P-47. Similar circumstance save for the fact that Johnson was seriously injured. realhistory.co/2018/05/23/robert-s-johnson-p47-thunderbolt/ I'm a big Jug and Lightening fan.
Thanks Tom!
33:23 physics.exe has stopped working
Wagn.... Bogachev!!!!
26:35 why were you shooting a friendly..?
got a little excited there...
Spitfires and cromwells at the battle of Kursk? I thought this was GR, or has the history channel expanded into gaming now:)
Amazing flying CAP, landing a perfectly serviceable aircraft - no need to drain it for fluids. Is there not a pitot heater in that plane?
Yes but I forgot where it is :(
@@grimreapers the pitot heater switch is just next to the generator switch (below the landing gear lever) but I am not sure that it is of any use in the game.
If you want to see a truly amazing Jug pilot, look for a video titled "Hunt or Prey". It was made by an old squadie of mine in Aces High 2. LePape ! I miss JG2, good times.
Only if he can recreate that with *this* Jug...
@@getsideways7257Understanding that these are maneuvers you would neve try in a real aircraft, the physics between the games would obviously be different but still pretty close. AH2 had a pretty good FM for it's time. I noticed a few times Cap almost pulling it off without knowing what the plane could do. I think if he had full rudder authority at the time he would have been even closer. At least he is catching on to how great the 47 is at BnZ.
@@lics01 We are talking about an advanced game and a military grade sim difference in flight modeling. There is no point in comparing, really.
Besides, for this particular DCS module one could definitely benefit a lot from high precision FFB-enabled controllers. Have you tried flying it yourself?
Also, BnZ is one thing, but it is also really good in turning fights as well. As I mentioned, you need some good controls and quite a skill to fly it like that though. Cap doesn't seem to care to learn to turn it yet though... Not sure if that's laziness or a lack of finesse. But this plane can be dangerously close to the 109 in how good it turns, despite all the weight.
@@lics01 "Accurate flight modeling of over 120 aircraft, vehicles, and boats from around the world." Looks like it can only be close to War Thunder, really... or IL-2 at most. You either go for quantity or high fidelity, not both.
thx
Funny fights
Classic “Bonkers”
Cap, you could have nailed the Me-109 in the overshoot when you were doing the hammer head stalls. The Jug is a maneuverable dogfighter, I reckon it is better than the P-51 because the Jug can turn, the P-51 can roll.
Turns out it's pretty maneuverable alright. Probably even to the point of almost being on par with the 109...
Roger, I was too worried about getting her into a spin, which I managed in another mission.
@@grimreapers There were P-47 aces. Out diving and climbing 109's and 190's. I pity the plane that gets a jug load of cal .50! Another thing to focus on is not getting too close before opening fire. Do a tutorial about bullet convergence, using the gunsight correctly so that your rounds impact at a single point instead of spreading around. 8 x .50 converging to strike is devastating.
Hmmm, why do people insist on using the racing skins for their K4's when doing historical re-enactments in this group?
Bright colours are usually for flight leads but I think in this case it's because the pilots are dangerous and they are warning colours for the blues.
Helps us know who is who.
CAP, love your videos, but can't help noticing most of your grim reapers pull up WAY too hard on takeoff in these warbirds. Might help some issues if they loosen the back pressure.
I notice you use Video Pad for your videos. I use it making videos for a blues band. It does a good job. It's not jam packed with features but it it's the best I could afford. Anything better was into the thousand dollar range and up.
Hey Cap, how's Pickles? Has he flown many sorties?
Not yet still too young, soon...
@@grimreapers Okay, copy that. He'll be a helluva pilot!
She you mean :)
Is that your scarf or your flaps I hear fluttering :)
PTT prop pitch. LMAO.. LMAO....
why don't u eject?
