- 3 minutes of a great hornline The Cadets with power to finish ! First recording with my Canon T3i I've learn a lot with this camera and now it's time for an upgrade. Canon T7i with auto focus and better iso will help a lot with recording dci hornlines in the 2018 season. Thank You for subscribing to my channel. #dcibrass

In the last 11 DCI Championships there has been only four corps that have won the brass title. Blue Devils, Carolina Crown, The Cavaliers, The Cadets.
+dcibrass Not sure why you stopped where you did - since 1996, when Regiment won the Jim Ott, those 4 hornlines have won all of the brass titles - 19 years in all now.
But it's also not really saying a lot when you consider that:
-- only 5 corps (Devs, Cadets, Cavies, SCV, and Reg) have won all of the last 22 percussion titles (since Star in 1993)
-- only 3 corps (Devs, Cadets, Cavies) have won all of the last 27 colorguard titles (since Regiment in 1988)
-- only 5 corps (Devs, Crown, Cavies, Reg, Cadets) have won all of the last 18 overall titles (since SCV in 1999).
+Brian Lowry a previous comment was made regarding that "The Cadets" would Never win a Brass title. I was just making a comment that they have won brass titles before. With a long list of some great brass lines I had to stop at some point.
+dcibrass Understood - I was in one of those Brass Title-winning Cadets hornlines, too, so I'm not really focused on diminishing your point or the credit the corps deserves. ;)
Once you get to bluecoats/crown hornlines in 2016 for example, they extremely hard to distinguish who is better and at that point it is a matter of opinion.
Owen Wu - 'they will never win brass'
..... Guess what, they just did!
At a low level of drum corps playing where you have random high school and college brass players, it is so subjective it is all a matter of opinion
Phenomenal.
