The Fox, The Hare and The Weasel are all characters Mao is at any given moment. How he decribes and dissects Mbidde is only but a minute example of one of his cunning attributes. After reading Niccolo Machiavelli's book "The Prince" and his laws of power over and over to shreds, anybody challenging Mao afterwards politically was doomed to miserably lose. Over the years Mao has put all he learnt to use with precision. His Hitler-like perfection of oration and uncanny ability to master other languages, coupled with comedic delivery makes him the darling of the audience whether they liked him or not. Mao is in a league of his own with a capability to fool so many at any given time, and he is very aware of it unfortunately for the rest of other Ugandans. It is hard to know whether he is laughing at the masses he is before or laughing with them. This, and so many other "gifts" that time and room does me no justice to mention is the way this man Mao has managed to hoodwink even the brightest of Uganda's citizenry. One has to give him all the credit he deserves for having wriggled his way to where he is now. For Mao, it has been both a scorched earth and attrition battle, with DP serving as the canon fodder.
P.S Only a savvy politician in the likes of Mao can make the old Turkish adage "Fish rots from the head down" sexy to mention, and take credit for it. All in all, a dodgy character who has learned that his oratory brilliance together with a semi politically naive society, he would eventually propell himself into a position of power. I don't think M7 saw this coming, and he should most definitely be wary of this fox in sheep skin.
