I was wondering about clean up and then you mentioned trying a hose on them. I hope you let us know how hard it was to wash away the broken paintballs.
Has anyone ever had any luck upgrading the airsoft units to get more range/flatter trajectories? These are essentially low priced airsoft guns from the early 2000s refited for tanks, and airsoft has advanced in leaps and bounce since then. Im working to make the bb tanks more viable for playing with eachother
I've seen them made stronger two different ways, a couple of guys have gone over to a CO2 system, and some guys have simply installed stronger springs. Most people won't shoot at other tanks. We put a lot of time and money into these tanks and we don't want the little bits being knocked off by an airsoft BB or a paintball. There's also a trick for popping balloons, you take a Q-tip with a wooden shaft, cut off one swab and sharpen it in a pencil sharpener and then load them one at a time into the barrel. I've got a video of that trick around here somewhere. A little bit of baby powder in the end of the barrel also gives a pretty cool effect.
thanks for sharing. really like your videos. I can't find a ww2 rc willys jeep in 1/16 scale. Do you have a video of you converting danbury mint jeep to rc?
I've never converted one of those, and don't know of any instructional videos from anyone who has, but I've heard it's ben done using a Losi 1/24 rc crawler for running gear. There are 1/12 scale rtr rc jeeps, but as far as I know no one has come out with an rc jeep in 1/16. I think WCP Models was working on one, but it might be a custom order deal, so I would suggest you contact them. Go back to my home page and scroll down and there's a link to WCP Models, where you can use the "contact us" button.
Very interesting! Thx
