I had a DSi XL. Lost it during the pandemic. I still have the charger and all my games set aside for whenever I find it. It was still working perfectly.

I had a dsi with no charger or stylus. I had plans with it for the future until my brother gave it away for 20 bucks. He had given it to a friend for a rare modded pokemon game, so i wonder how thats going .

I had the original DS design and yes, it was comfortable.
I miss the feel of it. It sucks that they replaced it with the flat bottom

I still have mine and the hinge is still in tact. Recently had to replace the top screen though.
Its the most comfortable of the bunch and better D pad than Lite (which sucks) otherwise worse of the bunch
And it could also play gameboy games which is why i like my og ds over any ds lite

OG DS had super low quality, dim screens. DS Lite improves on everything, still kept GBA slot. Screens as good or better than the AGS-101 GBA, but DS Lite is 1/3 the price of an AGS-101. It's such a sleeper of a console.

The hinges are shitty and the lite can do the same thing although not as snug
The dsi xl is super sturdy. The original dsi had a common issue where the LR buttons wouldn't work but they fixes it with the dsi xl.
I had that problem with the original dsi. Glad they fixed it.
@Extratificator ya apparently it's an extremely common issue. I've heard it can be fixed by opening it up and reconnecting some springs but I'm too scared to open up my childhood console without experience
The XL fixed it? I guess buying that XL when my original dsi wouldn't charge anymore was worth it.

I love my metallic rose dsixl! It’s very comfy to hold in your hands and looks very sleek! I have so many fond memories on it with my family and pets.

I still play my DSI XL to this day. The battery lifetime is so good! When turned it on after a few years it was fully charged and still perfectly functioning.
Nowadays, I think that the OG DS is elite, and maybe the DSi XL too. The others were too much popular.
My sister had a DSi. I want to find it and mod it someday.
The DSi is easy to mod

Buy a old DSi that is damaged but with functional screens (30 dollars)
Buy a shell replacement (10 dollars)
And buy a flashcard that is like another 30 dollars
And you have a new dsi with a lot of games to play! Without spending 200 dollars
@@MyJesus30Don't buy a flashcard, there's online a few models that are compatible, is better mod it via SD Card
With a DSi you don't need a flashcard
i love the DSi design, its just so good
Might just be me, but I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life of of the DS family. Really, It feels like they last for days compared to more recent handhelds, which managed to hold on for just about 8 hours before recharge.

I rank the lite higher because it's the better looking of the GBA compatible DS models, and it had plenty of color options and was nice to use
It's so small it's not comfortable. Phat DS and DSi XL >>> DS Lite and DSi
The original DS looks way cooler and unique. The Lite just looks like a shiny brick.

I have the original DS and these are very hard to find now.
I dont ever want one they can cause wrist problems you dont really start seeing till much later in your life

Definitely not hard to find at all. Can pick one up very easily for about $40

recently found my old DS and nostalgia hit like a tidal wave i also found my old games and my stylus charged it up and played it for hours missed that feeling of childhood alot.
Just bought a 3DSI XL on fb market because I felt nostalgic and I am loving it 🥰

Original DS was more comfortable than the other ones and more durable as others I’ve seen the hinges get loose etc. Also you can have a nice home menu if you have a chip that hacks it :P

DSi XL is a bit too big for me! Also the shoulder buttons are a bit uncomfortable and seem to wear out easily compared to the lite and original model. Still, I love it a lot. Idk if I could rank these because they’re all so fun for what they are.

I have still a DSI XL fully functional, it has its scratchest from the use my cousins gave it, but aside that, it works perfectly.
Dsi was my first console ever
I got a limited edition red DSI XL for Christmas and it was my first and favorite console, it came with Mario Cart and a giant stylus, everything I got that day was too big for my hands and I couldn't even fully wrap them around the DS. At that time Nintendo had an anniversary where Link Four Swords (a multiplayer Zelda game) was free and I played it with my siblings until it turned night, this was also back when FlipNote Studio was available and you could view, animate and post animations on the DSI in what was basically a full on hidden social media full with stick fight animations (some of the most popular originated on Flipnote) and edgy animation memes about characters singing to pop songs with bloody eyes or crude Newgrounds-esque comedy. The DSI game library is my favorite of any hand held console, it's not like it had the best game library of the DS's, it's actually kinda the opposite because most of it was very cheap pixel games or ports of other games, but they were super fun, Photo Dojo and Anonymous Notes From The Abyss 1 through 4 were relatively simple games but really fun, the DSI really marked the death of the traditional DS stuff and the beginning of the 3DS era.

DS lite was better all the DSi added was some cameras and a few DSI ware games and you lost the ability to play gba Cartridges
not sure which one i had but i DO know it was the yo kai watch special edition one and it will always be #1 in my heart :)

I had two DSis growing up. One was shattered in a move by my father recklessly throwing the bag it was in, The other accidentally threw in a lake because I tripped and fell. I did get a 3DS and 2DS later on but damn do I miss those two 🥲
I own 2 DSI XL. Bought my 1st one last year and got addicted. Ended up picking the Mario 25th Anniversary DSi XL right after. Also been buying DS Games none stop. Own about 50 CIB with a few loose ones that I'm looking into completing one day.
I had the ds lite in dark shiny blue and matalic rose which the neck was floppy n broken but it still works and then i had a 3ds white w camera which i assume was thrown away or lost somewhere
And the dsi systems can be modded for free. You can play your games without using a flash cart.
Also the dsi xl has the better speakers and has a dual ips screen
I still have the DSi XL. But the thing is it's broken, so I have to send it to fix it

Just got a phat DS for 15 bucks, it is quite dirty but works and doesn’t have many scratches, just needs a bit of cleaning and an R4 card that i ordered from aliexpress for exactly 50 US cents.

I still say the original DS and the Pikachu 3DS is a good system but the worst one of them all is a DS lite because every time that you open and close it it would break the hinge real fast or same thing on the 3DS XL it would happen
i still have a DS lite and it is in near mint condition and i use it more than my other consoles

I’d move DS lite to the top. That backwards compatibility is better than the features the DSI added in my opinion.
I still have my original ds lite and it works great. Apparently lots of people here dont take care of their things.
honestly i don’t like the ds lite. the buttons and dpad feel too soft and the gba cart sticks out the bottom. wish the dsi kept gba compatibly.
