Thanks for the video. My family are from Niue and when I was watching your video I saw my Village of Tuapa, the Mataapa chasm, and the Golden Arch. Lol. We live in New Zealand, I had the opportunity to take my wife and three sons back home in 2018. They love Niue and when I showed my sons your video they saw my grandfather's sister's home very briefly while you were driving and landmarks I had shown them where I stayed at. I am a patriotic New Zealander and very proud Niuean. Safe travels and thanks once again for your beautiful video of home. Kevin. 🇳🇺
It seems unphatamable, that such a pristine island can exist in today's world. Even just watching it gives me a bizarre vibe. It looks like something from pre-historic times or from another planet. It feels like it shouldn't exist. And I think maybe because it IS so untouched, unknown and hard to get to, it seems like the kind of place you visit either to be forgotten about the world, or at the end of your life after you've achieved everything you wanted to achieve. IDK how to describe it, but it doesn't feel like a place you just go to. Like it's something you have to earn and be deserving of.
Book recommendation: "Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia" by Christina Thompson (2019) - How were the islands of the remote Pacific settled and where did the settlers come from? It's one of the great detective stories of all time. Exceptionally well researched and compellingly written.
Nikki, I loved it when you started jumping up and down in the water at the arch on the beach shore! But then your sneaker had such a fatal blow-out, DANG! Stay safe to my favorite young sailors from "The Old Man" in the Dayton, Ohio nursing home.

Moral: always carry strapping tape, not for knees or ankles, but for shoes. Niue looks glorious and unspoiled by phosphate mining (thanks to its inaccassability) or tourism. What a shame your visit was cut short by our Southern Hemisphere tumultuous weather this year.
Ah this was such a chill video. You guys seem so nice! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing! Photography and Videography was the best you’ve both done EVER! Happy New Year. You brightened my day. -Alex
I had the same thing happen to me returning from a long hike. 😆 Hey Jason, I know who needs a new pair of hiking shoes for Christmas. 🎅🥾 Realizing this was filmed months ago; I'm sure you have a new pair by now😁. It still doesn't ease the pain of losing a great pair of shoes with such good memories. I put the sole of the shoe, that fell off, in a shadow box to help me remember all of the beautiful places it took me to. 🤣 Niue is otherworldly. Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing. 🎄
I know, it's so sad!

The best travel channel on CZcams. Love watching their videos!!!
It's too bad that you had to leave after just two days of being there. It looks like a wonderful place.
I can't say I'm 'envious' of you two, you've worked hard to get what you have and to keep it, but I'll tell you, there are days like today when I see this and I wish I was in a position to be able to do what you do.
