A really weird video about a pet with a major exploit that Blizzard are secretly selling on the cash store. This pet can be abused to level your characters fast and make gold simultaneously. - Hry
No, the easiest way to level a pet is to fight the pet trainer Ashlei in Shadowmoon Valley just outside the Alliance garrison. One of the three pets Ashlei uses is Doodle that does 0 damage. Bring your level 1 pet with your team to fight Ashlei, once Pixiebell is dead, Doodle will follow. Bring out you level 1 pet and get one hit on Doodle then place your level one pet back on the bench. Kill Doodle and Tally with your level 25 pets and your level one will bump up to about level 15 in one fight. You can do this dailey.
No, the easiest way to level a pet is to throw a few leveling tokens from your bank that any decent pet battler has tons of.
If I see a pet I want from 1 to 25, I have my banker level him to 25 in a couple of seconds by throwing tokens at the pet.
Also, google "Super Squirt Day" (and ignore all the porn).

Great video, I often enjoy more your explanations and "lore" behind bugs and exploits than the bugs and exploits themselves. This is one of those cases and maybe the best.
the Anubisath Idol pet is just as good at farming and against its opposite type has a max attack of 999 damage and can be earned in game without using the cash shop if you don't want to buy this pet.

People go crazy for battle pets, I get it. They're cute, and I have a small collection of more affordable ones. A while ago during Shadowlands I had a pet drop while farming stuff in Stormsong Valley and a pet dropped for me -- 'Papi'. It sold for 1 million gold on the AH and that was the most gold I ever had, it was craaaaaazy. Good times. Needless to say I was paying for raid consumes for a while :p

@@archvaldor I've come back to wow after a year and battle pet farming is usually what i do when i come back after a break. I managed to get spineclaw crab after 17 kills of monstrous crabs on timeless isle.
i couldnt sell a pet if I tried for large gold. even rares. depends on the servers I guess
@@karnige5804 Yep, I play on Moon-Guard. There's extremely wealthy people here and a large amount of collectors for all sorts of things. My pet was sold to a known pet collector.
I actually really love pet battles and definitely spend time doing it to level.
I used a plain old fashioned cat as my tank, devour to finish everything off. The area I use is Valley of the four Winds, you get a lot of really weak grasshoppers and racoons to kill.

Yeah dunno when that changed exactly. Still something you want to avoid obviously though makes it easier if you screw up.
Love your videos buuut....for us pet battlers, what matters is how fast you lvl based on how many rounds it takes, the use of pet treats and safari hat. If your taking out the opposing team in say 5 rounds or less your doing great. Also there are several pets that have a one shot ability but it is depends on what type of pet your using that ability on. For instance Surge of Power is on several pets and is often a 1 shot or aids in a second ability to 2 shot it. Also we've been using Squirt day to lvl pet ultra fast whenever she is in the garrison. Now Blinky's Mana Flare is exclusive to him, (as is a few other pets that have an exclusive ability) but I would not say he is either the fastest or most gold making out there. We have been selling lvl 25 pets on the AH since the beginning. I'll have to test how many rounds it take for Blinky's team to kill an opposing team and lvl up a pet.
There are certain specific plays that work better especially in certain windows of time (squirt is a very temporary thing as you know). I have a great one someone contributed to my patreon which you can do in 30 seconds without losing any pet health. When I say best for leveling+ gold I mean across a broad range of conditions. Ty for the interesting breakdown its a really fascinating subject btw.
@@archvaldor Unfortunately, squirt doesn't reward your alts with experience if you spam it, unlike other battles. There are two other Legion trainers that are incredibly fast to level characters + pets with. One is Snail Fight (Odrogg, in high mountain), and Beasts of Burden (Rydyr/Andurs). Rydyr is 30 seconds per battle, you should also always have pvp on, you get bonus experience for your fights that way. That means every 30 seconds you're earning 7,000+ experience before any buffs. Amalia (when she's up) doesn't require any bandages or healing in her fight. Blinky is really nothing special from a pet battle or a gold making perspective when compared to those other trainers who are up quite frequently and have been for years.

@@1dasd22Al I personally think so, yes. I have over 1500 pets of my own, and I've done over 30,000 pet battles. Waiting for squirt is fine and all but it's not up frequently, and you don't get any experience for your alts. If you do this during pet battle week, it goes much faster. The only way that's faster is to do pet battles / garrison / tables for charms, and buy the pet boosts. This can still be useful to boost those you need for fights, and then level up the rest.

Not significantly slower. Slower-but my guess would be that for most casual players pet battles are faster since they haven't spent (in some cases literally) hundreds of hours planning out their quest routes for optimization.Pet battles are no-brainers by comparison. Dungeons are actually quite slow if you take into the consideration the downtime and/or groups that don't know what they are doing-but if you have some competent guildies to run through them do that.
Additionally you can't make any significant gold doing dungeons or quests.whereas you could easily make a token from leveling pets while leveling your character.

I have a ton of good pets since i enjoy pet battles. but have never considered leveling a character with this. do i just battle random pets out in the world e.g. the spot you showed? do i farm the trainers? because some offer quests for beating them that yield good xp i think. is there a vid or thread on your channel or patreon about this already? I'd picked up playing wow again and was subbed to your patreon in the past, would consider it again
@Alex21xx. as long as one of the pets you use gains experience in a pet battle, the toon you're on also gains leveling xp.
Yes, this works on any random pet battle anywhere in the world, but you can get extra xp by doing the daily quests from the pet battle bosses in Draenor and Panderia.
only time i did pet battle when was reckful found out the XP boost exploit back in the days what a legend.

As a “pet collector” in Wow I will add a few caveats. Yes, you can level characters doing pet battles. It does not teach you how to play that character however. And it is a bit slower than some of the other faster methods. It is a nice supplement however, especially when there is an experience boost.
Pet selling requires a knowledge of the pet market. Some pets sell for thousands but most do not. You have to know the market to make money. I recommend one of the auction house Addons that monitor market prices to learn, if you are new. Also servers vary and you need toons across multiple servers.

At 4min and 36sec he says you can level battle pets and sell them for an extreme profit. How much clearer can he be?
I only level by pet battling.. i have done it with all my toons. Since 2012..
The Landro’s lil XT was use to have the best hitting power it would hit front pet and back line and then front pet again. They nerfed it and some other pets it will happen with this one just takes long time with pets
To level pets, use Squirt day or the battle masters in Panderia. The battle masters can only be fought once each per day, but a player can get 2 levels per day and level up 2-3 pets from 1-25 with just those battles. But the fastest way is to use Pet Charms to buy power up stones. One stone can level up a pet from 1-25 in an instant. Pet Charms are world quest rewards. For 60 pet charms you can power level a pet. You also get partial level up stones as rewards for world quest pet battles.
Good advice. Worth adding to the people who can't sell pets: they sell if their is a specific wq up where a given pet wins easily. If you communicate this via trade chat they sell faster.

Can i make gold on a max level character doing this? Ive watched so many videos on youtube on how to make gold. Solo farm spots, selling stupid grey and white items for 100k gold and they never work. Will these pets sell? I want to be sure before i waste what very little time i have to play on something thst wont work. Great video btw
That may not be for you. Just buying random pets and selling them won't sell that fast. If you research the market (eg focus on selling pets useful for world quests etc) you can make a LOT of gold and sell things faster but I'm not sure whether you'd want to. A guy called Bregvids madee a ton of gold in just 15 mins a day doing pet arbitrage-you might want to check that out its outfdated but still basically works.If not just run the motherlode for raw gold.
How would you recommend someone without dragonflight to farm gold for wow tokens? I mostly play on Classic and cant afford to buy the newest expansion at the moment.
Just something dumb like farming primals. There are faster ways but those can't be explained simply.

Is the idea to use the store-bought pet's insane ability to win pet battles/get new pets, level them up and sell them? Couldn't you skip that part and just use the dragon's invincibility move and win that way? Or is the store-bought pet just an element that makes leveling the new pets you find faster thus get to potential profits faster?
Yeah you got it all. This can be done without the store pet. But its mana flare move is so deadly and quick it makes it a lot faster. I probably should have spelt it out more clearly (though it was really interesting seeing how fast you worked it all out).

Tbh the only time I've *really* had a good time with selling pets was when the trial account garrison thing w the instant pet level 25 stone worked.

I'm surprised you sold them then because the market was absolutely flooded with duped pets:) They sell pretty well if there is a specific reason to use them (eg world quest).
man you just reminded me one of the reasons i quit back at the end of legion, blizzard added a pet with the next expansion bundle that had a dumb exploit where if it uses it's swap ability and you had no other pets on your team then the match would end and it would be invalid, so if you're doing pvp it won't count as a loss and your enemy won't get a win, i kept facing that pet over and over to where i designed a team specifically to counter it which was fun for a bit but i got tired of it and just quit the game, disgusting tactic, also it was out for over 3 month at that time, so they 100% knew about it but left it in the game intentionally.
I didn't even know about that one. I was a bit cautiousabout saying they are doing this deliberately but that seals it. It is not like something this simple is so hard to code. Congratulations on working out a counter that sounds really cool-probably should have put something like that in this video.

@@bravoisteal look man, i thought that as well back when it happened to me even though like i said the bug was out for a while and the bug was completely ruining pet battle pvp, again it was one of the reasons i quit (still haven't came back to retail), imagine if a similar bug was in pvp, the least they could have done is disable the use of that pet in pvp battle until they fixed it or disable that single ability which they have done so in the past,
what actually made me sure they were doing this on purpose is watching this video, i don't think it's a coincidence anymore.
@ghandykozman2115 or PvP Pet Battles are about the nichest part of WoW so the bug was low priority.
Lvl 3 garrison, get lvl 25 token, use on Blinky.
Also from memory, there’s using an ankle biter, plus (forgot name, but bird from gilneas) flock =win? I think? I haven’t played for at least a year or 2, but getting the lvl 25 stones through tokens even used to be awesome.
This is literally how you solo boost Pokémon in reverse. Start with the low level pokemon then for your first move switch it out and kill the mob and your weak pokemon from the start of the fight gets insane xp

You level pets and sell them on the auction house for gold for a higher price than you bought or acquired them.
Hey man, I just noticed that I got gold reward again at Fields of Ferocity after this reset. I'm 458 ilvl currently, but I think it has to do something with Whelpling crests (when you can't upgrade gear anymore with / 450 ilvl)
EDIT: I'm not sure if they changed something in-game, or after I got 450 in all slots on my main, something switched and quest offers gold now (after reset). I checked my alts with different ilvls, 426, 412, 408, 409, and they all have gold reward too.

Why not use Ashley outside garrison? One of her pets is a plushy that doesn't attack.
Ashley is great but she's a one-shot deal for your whole account for a day. She'd be broken without that.

I have three rare quality Nexus Whelplings. They have 2 abilities that can wipe out entire groups in 2 rounds
1) Arcane storm (390 magic damage split between enemy team, changes weather to arcane winds for 9 rounds)
2) Mana surge (325 to 487 magic damage, plus 162 if in arcane winds, continues for 3 rounds).
Obviously, this might not work against players, who would use evasive tactics and other tricks, but against npc's, its fast easy wins.
That's a strong basic team that will work well against all pve opponents. The point of the broken pet ability in this video is that it can be used to level characters and pets super-fast against specific opponent types. We are talking about different goals I think.
You say that pets at lvl25 are selling for more. I cannot find any that sell different based on their level. Most of them are similar at price at lvl1 and at lvl25.
I'm not sure what you are looking at. On the ah many pets sell for noticeably more by level eg anubisath idol. When they do not it is usually because there are only a few sellers and they are asking for stupid prices.

why on 1 char wm wq gives me 750 bloody tokens as reward and on other char its blue item with flightstones only?...

its Tarolekk wq. ty gonna have to observe this, that what i had in mind and also if char played enough to aquire any flightstones. both char a and b had valdraken renown 1 and wq was valdraken related. i earned some flightstones on that char that had 0 of them (didnt play game at all or use FS), but after relog wq reward was the same. im pretty sure both chars had no quests done in DF except arena quests in same zone for nearby wq. so both had same questing situation. if theres any dependency its probably ilv or flightstones gonna watch it after reset ;<

isn't there like 300k xp in level 69-70? How long would it take if each pet battle only gives 5k xp? I feel like this would take like 10 hours to accomplish 60-70.

You have to do the World Quests Petbattle.
You logg in once in a while. Do them if maxed out pets and logg out again.
My Bro leveled a char just by doing this.
There are other Pets simular powerfull as Blinkey. But they are only good vs there counters.
that means you only need 60 wins, and you can do the battle in the same place without moving anywhere else, with the same pet. def. will take way more if you level normally.

As a hunter you can get the dragonkin book that unlocks taming dragon kind and then tame yourself a sprite darter hatchling

I feel like Blizz is becoming more explicit with “selling” in-game advantages for money.
Like with the 3-day early access that comes with the Epic edition, sure you won’t be able to access Mythic Dungeon content, but if you want to make any serious money with professions, I feel like it’s almost going to be required.
What would you consider a 'serious' amount of money in this particular case?
@@solaroff899 At the start of Dragonflight, I was able to 4x my money with AH flipping, only I got a little greedy and kept doing it as the price started to crash
@@solaroff899 Like I’m a tailor, so i would buy a ton of tattered cloth for like 1-4 gold a piece, turn them into the spools of wildercloth and sell them for like 120g. (If I bought at 4g, I’d have to sell at 30g to “break even”.)
Value and demand of lvl'd pets varies dramatically from server to server. This doesn't work for everyone.
Doesn't work for any one who doesn't research the market. I should have gone into more detail on that but people like it when I get to the point quickly.
@@archvaldor lately it's been seeming easier to just do daily pet battles stacking up on pet charms and getting those ultimate battle stones, turn in dream surge and P flakes for new pets and lvl them instant and straight to auction. The highest im getting is around 20-30k G, lowest 5-10k atm. I see people pricing higher but those pets just sit there, I'm trying to earn for a token lol for "free" time. Tokens are going for around 300k+ on my server atm.
I still have like 30 max level toons from battle pet leveling back in the day lol. Just find any pet battle with a pet boss that you can kill without taking damage and bam, afk exp farm.

@@northwindx79 it might still work. TLDR was find a boss battle pet that can be killed without taking damage.
You get exp per pet battle. If you don’t take damage, you can challenge it infinitely. Using an addon that automates battle pets to one keystroke and a simple AHK script or something to press one button over and over, bam, afk exp farm

Another way to boost a low level pet the daily quest to fight the pet tamer Ashiel in Draenor Shadowmoon Valley. Wear your safari hat if you have it and your level pet goes from level 1 to 14 in that single battle.

@@archvaldor I've only just found this video so not seen any others. I park an alt in SMV & do the quest daily for easy levelling of toon & pet + easy gold. A shame the old style pet charms are essentially useless now.

Not sure how to exploit something which is kinda meant to be broken but I'll have a look.
I've had zero luck ever selling pets for much more if they're level 25. The only real benefit I see is that if it's the same price as a level 1, people will buy the 25.
pets sell slow but when they sell, they bring a lot.
I used your tricks to level alot of characters, but i have no idea what to actually do with them. Could you do a video about what you do with all of your characters?
The dreamsurges got nerfed but you can still make a lot of gold fast with alts doing the big gold quests especially when magpies is up. That's the easiest thing. I'll try and come up with a video on that.

You get a free level25 Pet for every new character you have simply doing a quest at your Garrison. I have level 20 pets or something to 25 like this
Unfortunately it takes a reasonable amount of time to set up a garrison these days. You used to be able to do that with class trials it was insane.
Why not just start with Blinky and immediately swap him out first round? lol
He'll often get killed before you can swap him. He has to survive one round.

Wierd that you do not mention Squirt. She is up in your garrison every 15 day. During pet battle week you can battle her 2 times to max lvl a pet. For times when it is not pet battle week.
All the serious pet battlers know about Squirt and those that don't won't be interested. It is a very strong play but too mainstream for me to cover there's enough people talking about that.

I must be on a bad server for selling pets. I have some amazing pets/dupes and have put many on the AH- and have barely sold a handful over the years.
Might want to try cross-realm it varies alot.

@@Elysian777 you start a new toon on a different server cluster then have them cage the pets for the AH. As for successfully selling them, ehh, it's like T-mog, a market with completely made up prices that relies solely on someone being drunk and impulsive

btw i managed to die in old version of scarlet cathedral and it ported me to very weird and broken fazing of the open world. could only fix it by leaving and re entering zone.

@@AlecSoD felt like fazing of 3 different zones. mismatched textures layers of ground in the air with a giant ball over dungeon entrance. rather hard to navigate as it hard to see anything.

i feel like this vid could have been compressed a bit, you just say the same thing over like 50 times instead of being concise with it. "this is perhaps and maybe probably the best money making method and levelling method in perhaps the game" or something similar over and over.
Im leaving now. I prefered the times were you came up with only 1 Video in 2-3 month or atleast something groundbreaking.

Well we can always do better. I think this is an odd video to pick on though-this is as I say the best possible strategy for leveling and gold-making simultaneously. I'd have thought the vid about the 19th anniversary was much more marginal - though both were popular and successful.

I might be mistaken but a couple of days ago there was a world quest where you had to fight a pet battle trainer that had a pet lil algalon iirc with a similar ability where whenever you hit him your pet takes damage and I remember also taking ridiculous amounts of damage so maybe there are more pets with bugged abilities like these
Yeah this class of abilities has been in the game since the start...and there certainly other gamebreaking bugs that have occurred.
