    This is the video I've been looking/waiting for! Thank you! I already determined that based on it still snowing (love the snow, but don't want to drive in it) in April that it's not worth the risk. I'll go in Summer when roads are safer, and hiking trails are clearer. Keep up the great work on the videos!

    Hi! Thank you for posting this helpful video 😊 I would like to visit Iceland 2 weeks, the last of March and first of April, to have better chance to see the northern lights but still a better weather than full winter hopefully…
    We would like to do a complete ring road tour (without the west fjords), are the north and west roads usually open at this period of time? x

    • @IcelandwithaView
      @IcelandwithaView  Před rokem +2

      Hi there! Thank YOU for watching! The end of March and beginning of April is a great choice to visit Iceland! You're exactly right about having the opportunity to see the lights but also have more daylight and better weather than deep winter. And yes, the ring road is open all year round. I would still recommend a 4wd during that time of year, especially for the north. Also, be aware of your route in the east... some "shortcuts" are not maintained year round and can be very dicey. If you're looking for planning help for the best trip ever, I offer custom made itineraries to suit your exact travel dates, travel style, interests and group dynamics (icelandwithaview.com/product/custom-itinerary/). I also have a pre-planned 11 day Winter itinerary that you could stretch out into 14 days (icelandwithaview.com/product/11-day-itinerary-rr-gc-snaef-winter/). Happy planning!

    Hi! Thank you for all the amazing videos! I have been binge watching them to help prepare for my May 10th trip lol - I have a quick question for you! How busy/touristy would it typically be in Southern Iceland mid-May? Do you (or anyone else in the comments) have any recommendations of some places to go in the South that are less touristy/less popular? Any tips would be amazing and thank you again for the videos :)

    • @IcelandwithaView
      @IcelandwithaView  Před rokem +1

      Hi there! The weather change from the beginning of April to the end of April marks the difference between winter and summer - but summer is more like, "winter lite". The Ring Road is open year-round and fairly well maintained but I would still highly recommend a 4wd/4x4 with studded tires and full insurance. I would also say that comfort with winter/icy/snowy driving conditions will be REALLY helpful.
