  • Hello Race Fans! Racing is finally back on the channel, with an outing at an old favorite, Rick's Hobby Farm. After over a year of missing outdoor races, I finally made it out. And let me tell ya, I could tell I needed some practice. But I also had a great time out there with my racing buddies. I'm hoping to attend a few more races before the season ends, so keep an eye out for them.
    Race Breakdown:
I ran the open 4x4 class with my Associated B64 equipped with a 7.5 turn motor that I had bought a few months prior. The only real setup changes I made were with my front shocks, going up in both spring rate and oil weight. I did also adjust my ride height to get the arms to sit level and reduce chassis slapping on the bigger jumps. The last change was moving the tops of my shocks out to the middle hole on the shock tower. Unfortunately, I ended up stripping two spur gears in the day, as well as overheating my motor, and slightly puffing a battery. I am now in the process of adding a fan to cool my motor, repairing my driveline, and procuring a battery with a higher C rating. I've got the car. Now I just need to drive.
