TBF though the USA have been doing that for years also, remember Bon Jovi capturing the enigma machine? Movie fails to point out that the British were the ones to do so? However I do get the modern trend to re ethnicity branding. Although the black para trooper in the game ( British not USA by the way) in the game is based on a real person, who did some really brave shit, for some reason though they change the narrative to make him do what a white officer did.

Greetings from Finland. Glad to hear you'd consider Finns as part of COD. In reality, we all know its not going to happen because we fought side by side with Germans against a common enemy. Altough we were just fighting against tyranny and for our freedom, we are still considered the bad guys (by some people, not all). I am also super bored with all the same missions in the same environments, but also super angry for alternating history and the incompetence for getting things done right, meaning not having Tiger tanks in 1939 etc. And the political correctness.. We will not see a actual historically accurate cod for a while. Things have to be politically correct and not offend anyone. It’s bull. I would’ve been fine if they said this game was alternate history and not historically accurate, but they did the exact opposite. This game is full of political nonsense meant to push an agenda that doesn’t belong in a WW2 game. I’m mad because they claimed the game to be one thing, and did the complete opposite. It’s a disgrace to the veterans and soldiers who fought in the war. It’s a disgrace to history itself.

    • @TonyGonzales2

It literally is alternate history. Like you truly believe a collective of random military troops from multiple fronts were sent to Berlin to stop a plot to replace Hitler with a new dictator and rebuild nazi Germany elsewhere?
      Like seriously?
Also it’s funny to hear folks cry about history being rewritten and inaccurate when a lot of what was gathered, especially from the Germans about the soviets was self-serving bull. The literal losers wrote history and we accepted it as fact calling any course correcting “rewriting history”.

All the while talking about demoralising stuff such as 'Can we really trust the Poles to the SS?' is a big taboe to talk about because there is a war to win.
Yeah I would love that Campaign, but it would be so messed up that the story will be absolutely the main topic for lots of discussions about games.

The biggest inaccuracies was the Stalingrad Campaign.
The Nazis with it's Luftwaffe (Luftflotte 4) first bombed the city on August 23, 1942 (And would keep on doing it daily onwards until their troops got to close) (and the bombers were around 4000 meters high give or take) .
The Wehrmacht would not enter the city until September 14, 1942 at 0630 local (a full 22 days later). And they struck the north and center of the city It's objective was securing a hill call Mamayev Kurgan, before moving inwards. The 51st Corp led that charge.
The 4th Panzer was to attack from the southeast of Stalingrad shortly after the 51st Corp.
The 14th Corp later struck from the North (Orlovka, Rynok and Spartanovka,) (Note they
They did not even reach the center of the city until September 21st, 1942 and would not declare it "Secured" until September 24, 1942.
(Had to make corrections involving the 14th Corp. I stated they struck Orlovka, Rynok and Spartanovka, on September 14, 1942. But they attacked those areas on August 23, 1942. They did not launch any offensive on Stalingrad proper until later. They mainly defended the Northern Flanks of the 51st Corp which was attacking the city proper)

For his excellence in combat during the Normandy Campaign, he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and promoted to Sergeant. He continued to fight with B Company until April 7th, 1945 when he and 24 other paratroopers were killed by a demolished bridge Neustadt while they were capturing said bridge.

I thought very long about a WW2 Hungarian Campaign and how cool it would be. I mean, I can understand why game designers don't wan't to make many German campaigns or storys but what about Germanys Allies? As you said Hungary. I've heard many Hungarian soldiers weren't even “real“ Hungarians, they were from different minorities that lived in the territorys the Germans gave to the Hungarians before the war (correct me if I'm wrong) and because of that they weren't too motivated. But overall the Hungarians performed pretty well until Stalingrad. And I don't know about many big war crimes the Hungarians committed on their way so that wouldn't be a big morale problem for the designers. You could show the struggle with those minorities, the struggle with the Equipment which was often very little (same as all units in the southern part of the UdSSR) but still going on fighting. You could show Hungarian soldiers bromancing with the Poles at Warsaw or defending Budapest to the last and under the pressure of both German and Hungarian political troops.
Same with the Multiplayer. Why does it always have to be the Germans? Why can't you just make one map where the Axis are portrayed by another country or even simpler, by foreign volunteers (or conscripts) in the German ranks. That would be so cool to see but I think all of that will stay a dream

This lack of a market for media producers means that their unlikely to see any Magyar Királyi Honvédség media return a profit on their investment.

Also wokeness is a plague that ruins everything, movies, videogames, comedy, companies, academia, everyone outside the woke bubble is tired of it.
I would totally play a FPS from the axis perspective, I don't think it would be controversial at all but of course many journalists who don't care about history or videogames at all would try to outrage that tiny section of society unable to live their own lives, that just dedicate all their time to tell others on internet what is moral and what is not, and bully everyone that disagrees. So we won't have any FPS with an axis single player campaign for a very long time. At most, strategy games, because selecting units and telling them to go shoot at americans is ok, but shooting americans in first person is the worst crime ever.

    2. Russian Female Sniper: "Lady Death"
    3. African-American Army Divisions: either the 93rd Infantry Division or the 24th Infantry Regiment aka 'Buffalo Soldiers'.
Not necessarily historically inaccurate, but there are some stereotypes such as the classic 'evil white male Nazi'.
NOT ALL GERMAN SOLDIERS WERE EVIL, PEOPLE!!! Some were just fighting for their country and survival. Some were even tired of fighting and wanted to surrender.
But then you have the actual sick, twisted, evil officers that were so brainwashed by the National Socialist Party that they were basically mindless robots.
If anything, the Soviets in the WWII era were just as bad as the SS and Gestapo. They killed everyone, took no prisoners, r**ed and burned and everything in between, and it was all in the name of revenge and 'Glory for the Motherland and Stalin'. The fighting on the Eastern Front got so bad, that the German Army often threatened to send their own soldiers there if they went out of line on the Western or Home Front. It was practically a death sentence. Heck, in 1945, when the war was coming to an end, some officers wanted to surrender to the Allies on the Western Front because they knew that they wouldn't be killed instantly and on sight by the Americans and British, unlike the Soviets, who (again) took no prisoners.
There were also some German soldiers and officers, who played a part in the beginning stages of the Holocaust, that felt shame, guilt, and regret after they executed Jewish citizens.
But nooo! Society today just has to shove it into our faces that, no matter if they were still human and have feelings and feel regret and guilt, all WWII German Soldiers are evil.
What the heck is this world coming too????

"Alternate History"? More like "We don't know history and are too lazy to learn, so here's an alternate history game, enjoy"

Wish CoD to have Asia-Pacific perspectives. I knew CoD WaW have covered Pacific, but there are more WW2 battles waiting to be explored in Asia-Pacific. From Battle of Shanghai, Battle of Khalkhin Gol, Battle of Hong Kong, Battle of Manila, Battle of Kokoda Track, Battle of Singapore, Battle of Changsha, Battle of Imphal and Kohima, Soviet Invasion of Manchuria, and so many to be explored.

The German army in WW2 was one of the most diverse armies in the world(thanks to their recruitment and conscription of people from conquered states)….quite ironic isn’t it…..
