I never thought the day would come that if think a Prius would look this good. Also the 40 mile EV range means regular people would only need to put gas every 3 or 4 months.

I regularly get gas in New Jersey in my 2013 Prius Plug-in and since you're not allowed to pump your own gas in NJ the gas station attendants regularly tell me that I pulled up to the wrong side. If I have time I flip the car around and let them try to figure out how to put gas in the charge port.

Hi, from Japan!! First of all, what happened to Paul’s voice?? Merged with catching a cold?? Now, even sports car enthusiasts are attracted by the new Prius in Japan. Good looking and good running capabilities. The person in charge of the new Prius said on TV “this new generation’s gas mileage is less than prior generation because this new gen is put importance on driving more than gas mileage. “Toyota is definitely changing nowadays. They make cars which can run much better than it was used to be.
I don't see ANYTHING appealing about this new, beautiful, fast, aerodynamic, tech-loaded Prius Prime 2023 (just hoping I can suppress demand so I have a CHANCE of finding one available).😂

Can you imagine if Toyota took the electric motor from the Prius Prime and put that in the Prius hybrid AWD car?! 260 hp!! Just add in some suspension dampers that Toyota already has and it would make for a fantastic GR Prius!!

Toyota teased us a bit with the Lexus CT200H, but it was not much more exciting (other than looks) than the Prius of that era.

I conclude the smart move is to buy the SXE, then replace the 19" wheels with 17" wheels to get the mileage close to the SE mileage. There is an aftermarket stylish, lightweight 17" Prius wheels! This is my plan of action!

Please buy a Prius and do all of the things you mentioned. Would be great to see what is possible and what the repercussions of those choices might be.

I drive a chevy volt 2nd Gen, with 200k miles this car is sounding similar to the Volt, im looking to upgrade, so in EV mode is that where its the fastest?
The Prime is fastest with both motors working, but does offer good acceleration and 40 miles of all EV range. Thanks for watching!

Toyota is gouging customers by limiting production of the Prius and Rav4. I have owned every pius generation. not now we bought a VW id4 and love it.😆
Concept car cool.
No question it looks better, but that straight line from the nose to the top of the roof is not a good look imo unless it's a Lambo. Yeah, I understand the aero aspect, but this is a bit of a stretch - would have liked to see a bit more headroom in the front. Still, WAY better than the car it replaces.

I have a 6 mile commute with chargers free in the garage I park in at work. I would never buy gas. This probably isn’t as fun as my Stinger GT, but 50mpg >>>>> 18mpg so. . .

This makes me wonder how good a 3rd Gen Chevy Volt could have been if GM didn't give up on PHEV so soon.
What I hate about GM is that they keep changing names by introducing new things to replace already established products. Look at Toyota with the corolla and camry names going 40+ years strong.

The only drawback for the Prius Prime for me buying a new one is the lack of any Federal and State credits/rebates😩. It would make a great used car value in a couple of years.

@@makatron I used to lease my Prius , both plug in and the Prime, and still got both federal and state tax breaks. Not any longer.

this thing is a great car but 10k overpriced. You could literally buy a model 3, same price after rebate and in my opinion far superior driving experience.
Yeah it makes zero sense. The Model 3 is a way better car, beyond it being far more efficient and much faster.
Although this has a better interior and is more practical. The model 3 only has speed for it

@@TheCreamRisesToTheTop compare the trunk size and the bigger dimensions and useable rear foldable seats. Range is small and no infrastracture yet for electric cars yet. Its going to be a long time
