The last of us has really improved, I tested it recently, and I must say the improvement is real. Here on the other hand improvement is practically none existent, game released with horrible cpu utilization and once they fixed that, it seems that they stopped to work on further optimizing the game. Disappointing.
The last of us mainly had a few issues: Very excessive vram/ram usage, long shader compilation time, Cpu limited in some scenarios for seemingly no reason. While jedi survivor is a complete mess.
@@Snow.2040 yes, but the last of us has improved fps when gpu bound, that is very hard to do once game has launched.
The image clarity is still awful in TLOU, the TAA is broken and FSR OR DLSS still can't make clear images. That game no where looks next gen, I have been playing re4 remake and that looks wayyy better than TLOU although even re4 remake also has memory leakage issues

This is what you get when eveyone pre-orders a game. They have no incentive to fix the game. Because you already gave them the money.
You can refund a pre-order; pre-order would be the same as buying day one, I don't get this comment brought up often, and I don't see how it would affect fixing the game on it's own. Do people mean "you shouldn't buy a game until is has been well implemented?" because that is a very different comment than "shouldn't pre-order"
Shit man I'm sad because I'm the type who knows better, but because Noone else seemingly does, I have to wait forever to purchase and play this game that I was anticipating more than any other unreleased game :/
Very nice showcase for the new Patch! They need to fix performance as the game is really good, much improved from Fallen Order.
It is a disgrace and disgustingly disrespectful to the consumer how respawn basically refuse to optimize the game and focus on garbage that couldve waited. I dont think ive ever seen a more inept team of devs in my life. If TLOU can get to a decent state respawn and ea have ZERO excuses!
What garbage? The game litterally didn't met you finish the game cause bounty's didn't work. Seems pretty important. But It's still incredible dissapointing they took a month just to fix the glitch and even then performance improvement was never there cause they didn't work on it

Thanks for the content. Even "well optimized games" like Resident Evil Village has so many locations with weird performance. From 90fps to 50, depending on what is happening and where.

Rather have a solid frame rate then this jumping around it really takes me out of the game.

I give up hope that this game will be fully fixed, I think the optimisation fixes are well and truly done at this point and Respawn won't fix it any further. They did say that more patches are coming, but they made us wait a month + from patch 5 to patch 6 and no improvements were made at all... Just going to play this game in its current state.
For all the people who pre ordered this game i hope you're proud of yourself for because of you gaming companies will continue to give you rushed shovelware

I am one of those people. You are absolutely right, and I am ashamed. But we learn from our mistakes. I certainly have. It feels shameful to know that I contributed to this. I hope more people realize this soon and stop pre-ordering games.

If you guys increase the contrast a little bit of the optimized settings, it will look exactly the same.. 😎👍🏻 btw, do that on your screen or control panel, if you use filters you will lose fps.
I'm currently just 9 minutes away from starting the Last of Us with it's latest patch.
Let's see if it's better because the last time I tried it, it reverted all my GPU updates 😎

If any modders optimise the game pls tell us that would be awesome and how to install them. I don’t see EA doing it but because it is actually a good game I can see modders doing it.
im using dlss3 mods. my fps above 100+. cons is only 40 series.
@@mohdazrin8191 Exactly mods are cool. 40 series only thou. Most ppl upgraded to the 30 series cause price to performance was so good while 40 series is overpriced.

i refunded this game just for the performance on a rtx 3080
I'm fuming 😡😤 I feel like I've been conned out of £70 for this game on PS5 and it's not fixed. And worse of all I purchased a digital copy from the PSN Store but of course they don't allow refunds 🙄😡

TLoU is it's own engine. Jedi Survivor is just the B team at Respawn not knowing how to use Unreal
@@matthoward6785 This is harsh. But it also feels a little true. When I saw what happened to Cal's hair with and without RT on at launch, I knew something went terribly wrong. How could RT be tied in to such a degree that it would render the game completely disgusting on things where other games do just fine, like hair. RT off, bright orange blurry blob with no details. RT on, hair is much darker with lots of details, still blurry though. This has been addressed already for the hair in patch 5, but it was speaking volume as to the capability of the team at launch.
Everybody was bullshiting about TLOU. Tlou is ps5 port and look how they improved the game. Star wars is still a shit
They are, just like a lot of devs with bad launches, are waiting to see if the community will go ahead and figure out a way to fix the issues via modding and engine hacks.
The same will happen with Starfield when that releases judging from how Bethesda and Tom Howard are talking about the game so far. They won't be bothering with optimization too much and will push another broken product, like Skyrim and Fallout 4 before it, and have the community fix it via mod support.
It's very disappointing just how little the game has improved since launch. I have a 1060super and still can't play at a stable 30fps on low settings. What a disgrace.
I just really wish people wouldn't rate the game positively on steam after just a few updates that has done so little for the game! The developers are not gonna give any effort to fix the game now thanks to them!
