Sometimes I wish I had more compassion Ryan. I would guess that most people get motivated and inspired by the way you treat people.
It is hard to watch how Darrel treats you.
I spent many years involved in concrete. Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Military. Tens of thousands of yards of concrete. I have never seen ANYBODY that install’s a correctly done and a nicer or more professional weak and plain control joint than you do. Unless Government, Military most concrete work is overseen and inspected by government inspectors. When your job site is clean and the concrete finish work is professionally done like your work, the inspector(‘s) will go out of their way to trust you.
Keep up the great work. Say hi to your crew and send Darrel to the Unemployment Department.
Caring for your family, hard work and treating your employees fairly will make your life happy.

I am a 70 year old woman and never thought I would watch videos of concrete work but you and your crew are such perfectionists that I enjoy watching! When my parents built their house in 1957, a concrete truck fell off the bridge over the creek because the driver wasn't paying attention! We had a big blob of concrete in the creek until it finally eroded after I grew up-- I was 5 years old when the house was built! I know you can tell Daryl to be more careful but Daryl is Daryl!
Completely understand how you feel. I lost my daughter in 2017 and it took a long time to get over. I still struggle with it today. I do construction as well grading and dirt work. This videos is what I needed today.

To be honest, when Darrel was swinging that pin like a golf club. I thought he was going to let it go and hit Eric with it. Darrel never seems to amaze me with what he can destroy and never thing it’s a big deal at all. You have a ton of patience Ryan. Hope you get through these tough times, it will get better. Bugs is doing great taking his time and trying to heal!! I'm an idiot and had shoulder surgery and I was using it 12 hours after surgery and 1 week later I was at work and I had my humeral head ground down and the Cartledge sewn back together!! I regret every day not taking my time to heal cuz it still hurts and won't ever stop hurting now!

Ryan, I thank the CZcams algorithm for recommending the one video to me that started my Victory outdoor services binge. I totally respect you my friend, and admire the way you deal with things, from what I've seen on here. I myself also have 7 children, 6 of which are girls. Some are even the same age as your children. Children are a gift from God and I don't take that litely, and from what I see neither do you. Having that tragedy happen in front of you and seeing someone else's child, that you know, perish in front of you would be terribly traumatic. I also own a construction business for 12 years now, but I am a carpenter, and have been through the ups and downs myself. In two days july 10th, it'll be 21 years since my best friend took his own life. It was the hardest thing I ever went through. I still struggle with it this time of year every year but like you mentioned, you have to keep goin and pushing through the emotions. I completely understand what you're feeling right now Ryan. In due time, it will get easier.

I understand exactly what u talking about I been doing concrete n masonry as my brother 4 30 years has we worked Saturday n Sunday he passed this was a couple of years ago I thought I was tough but not a day goes by I see a job we w done n can't shake it off its not easy
I give you a lot of credit Ryan, as a business owner myself I wouldn't put up Darrel anymore. He's reckless and seems to only care for himself not the team. If I had a guy like that, he wouldn't be around very long.

I am very surprised that you keep Daryl around even though y’all go way back. It seems like he’s more of a liability than an asset. I wouldn’t want someone as reckless as him working for me especially since he doesn’t take things seriously.

So sorry for what you are going through. I truly enjoy your channel this gets me through the day honestly I seem to have bad days when I do t get to see your content. You are a blessing in disguise’s the way you treat your guys especially Daryl Junior seeing him on your channel is what got me hooked. You give guys a chance that most people would not. I hear ya Ryan. I’m a police officer and also serve in the military reserves. The things we see nobody should ever have to see. On the outside we joke and pretend like it’s no big deal but on the inside it haunts us at night. Just keep moving forward and appreciate your family every day.

It amazes me how you still let Darrel drive the skid loader & big truck. That guy’s a destroyer & doesn’t seem to respect the you no matter how long you’ve known him. Falls asleep while you guys are breaking your back & Blows everything off like it was “no big deal” I’d probably let Eric or Francisco take over those big responsibilities.
