Solid spot even if it’s not a basement 🥸
Man, I wish I had the basement space you do. Climate control would be pretty sweet 😅
I’m your 1000th sub congratulations
This guy is the ultimate gym bro “bench is my favourite exercise” and “here’s my foam roller I don’t use huhuh”
🤣😅🤣😅
Just that for 12600? Just seems like he could have spent his money a lot better. I have more then that and I have 5k into mine.
Cool! It just depends what you’re in to. Bars add up pretty quick and everything was new. Obviously going used is generally the better option, but there were slim pickings during lockdown!
You should do a tour, I’d love to check it out! 💪
Dude likes to buy expensive shit and not use it
@@gokeymasterflex I blame Coop for starting this nonesense. Anyone watching “Pumping iron” where the true legends worked on equipment without fancy names or model numbers or pretty color-matched collars will realize how stupid todays flexing trend is with overpriced gear by people who mostly look like they have never done a single push-up.
OK that was probably the most honest review. I've always wondered / known when I see these more epic build that people never actually use everything they buy. Appreciate the honesty.
I appreciate it! Yeah I definitely don’t use everything lol
finally a dude with fancy home gym who looks like he lifts
Hahaha thanks!
How can you tell he lifts a lot? He's wearing a sweatshirt.
Now this is how a review should be done! Reviewed every piece of equipment without an hour story on each piece. Very efficient and knowledgeable!
How tf is the production so good and your talking so good that you can do this in one take with zero stutters or mental blanks whatsoever, especially being a new channel. Are you used to talking to a camera or something? Crazy good video
Charles, thanks for the support!! I went a little overboard on the camera, and I've dabbled in CZcams on IG stuff for quite awhile now. Excited to hear people are enjoying the new channel though!!
Garage Gym Gainz what I noticed about the production (besides the content ofcourse) is that this is fairly good stabilisation of the footage. Most people's gym tours I have to click off as they give me major motion sickness (including well known review channels). 👍
@@Amber86queenbee I can't stand a shaky camera!!
Hands down one of the most thoughtful single car garage builds out there!
The dumbbells power elites is worth a like. All about practical solutions.
This is the best home gym ive seen so far, everything is simple and every thing is worth buying!
Thanks for the love! 🙏
This dudes honesty is hilarious
Haha thanks!
I was like "mmmm ok". Then I saw the light and that changed everything. Heading over to Amazon to order now.
Isn’t it awesome?!
A clock with “today’s time”. Cool.....
Hahaha
Like how you set it up for the space, especially the control units gave me some ideas. 12K is a bit much but then again you have some quality there. Mine was around 4K
Definitely get those wall control units, they’re a game changer!! I have another one I’m thinking about putting beside the H-PND to hold the knockoff mag grips.
I totally agree, $12k is a little over the top. $4k is PLENTY to build a sweet setup!!
I bought the powerblock sport 50s
Last year I picked up two Titan 300lb Lat Pulldowns after hearing your praise for it! Very glad with the purchase.
One thing to note is the bottom pulley is a real pain to use, in general. The cable pops off of the pulleys all the time. Definitely not a suitable design for a commercial setting but can be great for the home gym dweller.
The grey and black color scheme is awesome. So clean
Thank you! It was a great spot
Love my reverse hyper. Got it 5 years ago and I have not had back pain since. I also started deadlifting and squatting again heavy
I just realized he’s wearing a foundation hoody. Got one here in manhattan. Great gym
Glad you like it man!! I run our KC location. Wait until you see the one we’re building in Liberty, MO!!
I have the same ROGUE power bar, black cerakote. Love it man. Knurling is super sticky. Super sweet
One of my favorites!
super neat layout for a single space - well done!
Thank you!! It took some planning for sure lol
Some people have a 8x8, 10x8 or 10x12 space. 1 Car garage is plenty of space for a home gym. People just love having things they don't really need imo.
I definitely agree! That’s plenty of space.
Nice man, when I saw you had a 1 car garage gym in a different video, I had to check out yours for more ideas on my 1 car garage gym layout!
Single car garage gym owners unite! Haha I'd love to see your space!
I can appreciate a nice clean looking gym like these, but I personally prefer that rugged look to a gym it has a nice character to it.
I don't blame you!
Showing my partner this video has convinced her we need a home gym. Thanks 😊 been trying to convince her for ages! Looks sick by the way!!
How does this man not have a bunch of followers
Share and tell yours friends. Let’s get it there 😅
Love the PR light!!! 😂😂 Gym is sick, love the channel and it definitely inspires future purchases for my home gym!
Nice job! You went from 100 to 600 subs in 3 weeks!!! Gonna be doing my home gym tour soon too.
I’m super pumped for the support so far!
Let me know when you upload it!
Great choice on the flat bench, same one I got a few months ago as well.
Are you loving it?
If only I can afford rogue plates haha, still loving the setup my man! One day hopefully mine can look like this.
Keep pushing! 💪
That's for sure!!💪💪💪
Nice work man. Clean, efficient and high quality. Thanks for the good content.
Thanks for the support!!
Next big thing!
I'm excited for today's video!
SUBBED!
YESSSS!!!!
1 pound weights are useful!! If you do any heavy bicep work/grip strength/forearm training.. you will find out that every pound matters... hell shoulder press can be brutal like that too ig
I’m excited to have them around!
Powerblock s are great for curling, shoulder pressing and accessory work done with supersetting... but for any bench work or rowing your better off having Loadable 1 inch dumbbells with long enough sleeves
I don’t mind the powerblocks for benching or rowing, until they run out of weight. It’d definitely be cool if you could add weight to them!
Just your average home gym…some of the things you need, and plenty of things you don’t.
Plenty for sure lol
New channel on the rise👀
I'm very appreciative of all the support thus far!
I have a 3 car garage and use the third car for my home gym. It is smaller and I have to move shit around but it beats anyone else’s home gym I know lol
A small home gym is still infinitely better than no home gym!
here at 700 subs GOOD SHIT BRO, get those gains bro
Thanks buddy! Touring a friends basement gym when we get to 1000 💯
What size space?! Looks awesome, probably my favorite setup I’ve seen, im planning my new gym in the garage at my house I’m building. Trying to get ideas of what I can fit it certain space. Thanks!
Thanks!! It’s about 10’6” x 18’6” .... not very big! Haha. How much space are you working with?
@@GarageGymGainz Garage will be 32’ deep and 26’ wide. But I’ll have 2 vehicles parked so my space dedicated will likely be close to what you have. Thanks for the reply! Helps me incision what I can do.
Nice setup and efficient use of space. I have two car garage but only use 1/2 since the other is used for DIY projects (painting, woodwork, etc, and parking my wife’s van). What about that Lasko fan? Did you get that one from amazon as well?
It's the Air King 9318! Here's a link: amzn.to/3oIzjzu
That’s a whole lotta equipment for a gym reaction artist who keeps saying i haven’t really used this, or that or the other.
12k Seems expensive but pretty cool setup based on that space...that lat pulldown looks cool.
Yeah it was a little pricey, bars and plates add up FAST!
I made a video of my budget garage gym cost. His garage gym is amazing and a dream, but if you're interested in a garage gym at a fraction of his gym's price, check out my gym cost video! I'm proud of it
Good set up
So pumped about this gym!
No doubt!
That's a lot of money for that gym. I guess it's all the barbells, never really got why people need so many. The reverse hyper seems to be the piece to many too, for the size of your garage. For the rest it's a nice gym for a small place.
I’ve got a price breakdown on the channel I re-uploaded from my old one! The bars and plates were a big chunk. People definitely don’t NEED to have that many bars, it’s just cool to have
Is that Titan lat pull-down pretty solid? I've heard bolted lat pull-down units tend to wobble as well as being a bit short for taller people in terms of the range of motion. I love my Titan reverse hyper as well. Awesome gym set up bro.
Hey Anthony! I think it’s built like a tank. I’m only 5‘10, but it’s a good fit for me!
sweet set up! nice and tidy!
Thanks man!! I really appreciate it.
Nice set up man. You have a link to that light on the ceiling? I'm trying to find one like that for mine!
Great set up
Thank you!!
Sweet setup man!!
Thanks!
Hi Ricky. Sub’d due to Metal Complex sending people over. I’m a Physical Therapist as well as knife nut and look forward checking out your videos
Hey thanks! 🙏
Very nice setup.
Thank you!!
Not bad. A fair amount of similarities to my own garage gym I've built up this year.
Nice! Garage gym life 💪
I have a very similar setup but Instead of the reverse leg thing I have a vertical leg press from titan. I have a 2 door garage but have everything kind on one side so that I can still pull in one of our cars if we need to.
How do you like their vertical leg press?
@@GarageGymGainz It’s okay for what it’s worth. I use it after heavy squats when my legs are already beat up some and gives me a great pump. The load limit on the Titan V leg press is only 400 pounds I believe but for 380 bucks it does the job. Squatting for several sets starts to bother my lower back so I made the purchase.
Vertical leg press is great! It looks like it has a pretty small footprint too
Where did you get the rubber stopper rings on your weight tree? I have the same tree from Rogue but no rubber stopper rings to keep the plates from striking the metal back?
Is there a video that covers making the deadlift platform?
The PR light is really cool idea. Do you have a link for that or how can I find one on Amazon?
Here you go! - amzn.to/39vkmes
You lost me at "I pull sumo" 🤣
Lol I go back and forth. My numbers are pretty similar
@@GarageGymGainz I'm MOSTLY kidding. Awesome home gym for the space!
Hahahahaha thank you!
I dig it. Keep it up man.
Thank you! Lots more to come 💪
Only a couple people crazy enough to do it the right way in a single car garage gym
You and me hah
Lol no kidding! You need to shoot a tour of it for CZcams some day!
Nice gym. I am thinking I will put the plates on the rack, why did you choose not to do this. Did you drill your rack into the floor to secure it? I am thinking I am going to special order the stabilizing legs..I am in between on the RM3 vs 4 do to space.
I see this is a new ish garage gym tour video vs your other channel's video. Well I just made my budget garage gym cost video like I said I'd make! You or anyone looking for a budget garage gym should check it out! I'm proud of it
I’m going to check it out man!!
@@GarageGymGainz awesome, thanks!
Question: Why does everyone want expensive collars? I use spring collars and they seem to be fine
Just preference really. Spring collars will probably wear out faster and might not hold as tightly on high rep sets of deadlift.
I mainly got these because they look cool tbh!
I use my collars on Olympic dumbbell handles so having spring collars doesn’t really work for those since I need something lower profile.
That makes sense! How do you like the Olympic handles?
@@GarageGymGainz honestly I’m a big fan. I have the Rogue DB-15s and while they’re certainly not going to win any speed competitions for changing weights, I actually prefer them to Powerblocks, Ironmasters, or selectorized styles due to their construction, rotating handles (personal preference), and ability to reuse Oly plates. Another big benefit is that microloading is so much simpler than using platemates for Powerblocks or change plates messing up threading spacing for Ironmasters. Obviously it all depends on how you lift and what types of movements you do, but I think they’re great if you mostly lift solo and don’t need super fast weight changes.
For Powerblocks, I don’t like the cage feel, lack of metal handle without paying for commercial pro version, their accuracy isn’t great, and you are recommended to never drop them which I rarely do but it’s nice to be able to in a pinch.
Ironmasters have a better feel but they only use 5lb (or smaller) plates which adds to crap you gotta store and I still question the safety since as the weight stack goes up, the amount the threaded screws are left in the handle is reduced. Also didn’t like having 3 sets of screws sitting around in addition to all the small 5lb plates since it was too many parts for my liking.
Selectorized are the speed kings and there are cooler looking ones like the newer Nuobells but almost all of them have substantial plastic components and you’re hard capped at whatever the manufacturer gives you for max weight usually anywhere from 50-90lbs.
I find the main drawbacks to Olympic DBs talked about 1) not being able to rest on your thighs and 2) long handles are a little overblown. If you angle the DBs, you can rest 8”-9” 10lb plates pretty comfortably though sometimes the collars will need to be rotated so they don’t dig in. For the handles, you just have to make small angle changes so they don’t hit (e.g. 30 degree for pressing, no rotating for bicep curls, etc).
Obviously nothing beats straight up standalone dumbbells but some cheaper Titan handles ($75 /pair) are a good way for most people to experiment if they’re curious. Just make sure you don’t skimp on good collars 😎
That’s one of the best comparisons I’ve seen! I really need to check out some Olympic handles. It sounds like there are some great benefits 💪
you forgot to mention the genisis jack! crucial piece. Your gym is awesome though.
I was so bummed out when I realized I missed it.... 😢
BUT, we hit it all in one take and I just didn’t have the heart to go back through! Lol
Good gym bro, grats
Hey thanks for the support!!
Awesome set up! Mines super similar one car only, no lat pull down or reverse hyper but a cable cross over and Ghd instead. I skipped out on the powerblocks because of availability and went with individual sets that do take up a lot of room. Did it take you a while to figure out the proper dimensions to make it all work? Took me like 4 different set ups lol
That sounds like an awesome setup!!! And I don’t even know how many times I tried to sketch it out before I landed on this.... I know your pain! 😅
@@GarageGymGainz I legit drew up a blueprint with the dimensions due to all the frustration of having to move things around and it not working 😂
Me too!! I sketched it out, then cut out some paper equipment to scale and moved them around 😂
The single car garage life is rough
what kind of wall control unit do you have set up in the video?
Here's the full kit! - amzn.to/36a0Zqr
Super nice!
Thank you!!
Very cool.
Hola, any updates on the Titan reverse hyper? How’s your back? Sounds like you need an MRI on the back. I know I’m dealing with back issues. Thank you
Well I haven’t been using it a ton lately, and now my back seems to be bothering me a bit more. I better start using it again!
Does the Titan Fitness J-Cup rollers have UHMW throughout the inside?
They do! I actually have a full video of them on my channel. I REALLY like them - especially for the price.
Which plate tree is that? Rogue?
CFF Fit! I actually just posted a full review on it. It's great.
Is that red and black Aluminum collar special edition or something? Looks sweet but cant find it on Rogue's website.
I haven’t been able to find it lately either. I think they may have stopped making them?
Wait where’s all the weight plates and dumbbells at?
Huh? Lol
Since you don't use the low row, what do you prefer to do for horizontal pulling?
I think the expense can be justified if he is a P.T. or pro-athlete. Otherwise, I feel dropping 12 grand on a set up is a little excessive.
Yeah that might be expensive for you but not for everyone. Why do some people wanna drive fast cars when they are not professional race car drivers
you guys that worry about scratching your equipment are adorable
But the prettier it looks the more Instagram comments I'll get....right?
Hey did you ever end up ordering the Marrs Bar that you mentioned in one of your earlier videos? I'm also interested in getting it ... but not liking the shipping lead time they're quoting
Not yet! What type of lead time are they quoting?
@@GarageGymGainz "* * Due to COVID, allow 10-12 Weeks For Shipping * *" =(
YIKES. I’m sure it’s worth it, but dang that’s awhile!
Did you have to make your deadlift platform level due to any slope in the garage? If so how did you end up doing it?
There’s a tiny bit of slope, but I just left it. Honestly haven’t really noticed a difference
What is the advantage of having the same bar in two different finishes? Do you have different uses for each?
I wanted the bare steel but the cerakote was in stock first. I do NOT recommend getting two of the same bar lol
Any stainless steel barbells?
I don’t have any, I should though!
@@GarageGymGainz LOL! Yep, you won’t have to worry about being a “bad bar dad.” Warning: they’re not cheap, usually about a grand each, though Rogue and American Barbell are priced well under a grand. If you really want to go for it, the Ivanko ALL stainless steel power bar is the “Holy Grail” at $1200-plus; OUCH!
Yikes! I’m not sure I could get myself to pay over a grand for a power bar.... but then again, things have been escalating quickly Lol
@@GarageGymGainz Oh, you should have “disco training day” with those cool lights.
@@GarageGymGainz Sure you could, just don’t tell your wife. It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Heck, I got a Schnell all stainless steel barbell that cost me $1500 cuz it shipped from Germany where they are made, and I never even mentioned it to my wife, she still does not know. Remember, quality trumps quantity, always. It’s not good to be a “bad bar dad.”
who knows what the clock is called
It’s by Acurite. I have a video on it with a link
New sub 👍
WELCOME!
What kind and where did you get that fan that is mounted to the wall?
Here you go! amzn.to/38Brllq
Thank you Man I appreciate it
Absolutely!
What’s your max bench?
425 in the garage gym, 413 in competition.
Badass man
@@c.martin6326 Thanks!
Get a leg press in there son
comment for the algorithm
Every comment counts!
No Westside spacing lol?
No, the Monster rack has 1" holes, so westside spacing doesn't work! It's definitely something I considered for awhile though!
@@GarageGymGainz
Is there enough spacing for you when you’re benching? Right now I have a fitness reality rack that has 3” spacing and I sometimes crash into the safety pins. I’m considering getting an RML
Plenty of space! Should be good even with the 30” depth. Have you tried scooting down further on the bench before unracking?
@@GarageGymGainz
I meant I have 3” hole spacing lol. The holes are too far apart. I think I’m gonna go for an RML. Thanks
@@basedabdu8653 You'll love the RML!
Seems like you got alot of things in there you either don't use or have never used lmfao
Without a doubt! LOL
Just me or is it weird to bother getting calibrated powerlifting plates in pounds...
It doesn’t really make a difference. Whatever you’re used to counting in! 270kg & 595lbs are going to feel the same whether the plates say Kg or Lb
@@GarageGymGainz i mean sure but calibrared powerlifting plates...to me that implies you compete in powerlifting...where the compa are in kg...
Right... but it’s still the same 😅
It’s just math...
