Who in their perfect mind remove a nice dog from a footage!, Nice tut ty, mocha leading always
how would we add a second nice dog, is the real question here..... hahahaha
Well that sounds like the topic for another tutorial!
Exactly what I thought: Nothing else, but a beautiful dog?
you guys provide the project files to follow along most especially for beginner
We try to supply the projects when we have the rights to distribute the source footage. Sometimes it is not possible to get the proper footage with rights to share it ourselves.
@@BorisFXco then I think don't use the copyright. use the one you owned that you shared with us to follow along, anyway thanks.
Nice job!
Thanks so much! Thanks for watching.
It's amazing...
Good tutorial.
Thanks. Hope it was helpful!
Hey! If I keyframed a mask for example with 4 points and for whatever reason I want to change completely 2 points, how can I deactivate the keyframing only for those 2 points so I don't have to change those 2 points every Keyframe I made previously? Is it possible to remove Keyframes from specific points of one mask?
Thanks 🙏🏽
If you go to Boris's Website they'll respond to you there if you send them an email.
Just discovered this channel 😁
Welcome. Enjoy your time here and hope you find useful tips and tricks.
send us a footage link so that we can practice on it...regards...
I'm a student in computer science and idk how but I found an intership and my boss is asking me to edit video instead of programming now I'm here watching tutorial about mocha pro i had no idea existed even one week ago. CZcams about to save my degree once again
😂
@Boris FX do you any take request tho ? There’s this one video I’m not able to remove anything however I try gonna be faster if I just pay you
I created a clean plate remove for a tattoo, but I just want to export the "cleanplate" to adjust the color inside AE, it is possible?
Yes. Just render out the remove as normal, and the use the matte that you used for the foreground. This will give you just the remove patch element.
hello can you make tutorial for mocha pro object replacement. You have a lot for removal but I would really appreciate if you could make some for replacement of adding objects kinda stuffs.
Yes, this is a great suggestion. We do have a few replacement videos hidden in the "Remove" section of Mocha Essentials : borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/ Starting with Exercise 20. And as we have just improved the Insert module in Mocha Pro 2021, they'll be more tutorials coming soon.
Hey!Thanks for your video! I have rendered in Mocha and removed successfully, but when I save and close Mocha and back in after effects to render and use the dropdown menu to select Mode Normal the remove module, after effects did not show. This question has been bothering me for a long time, can you help me solve it?
If you edited the clip, remember to Pre-compose it before you apply the Mocha Pro effect. It should work correctly then.
If you are on Mocha Pro 2022 or later, you can export your project, precompose the layer, apply a new Mocha Pro effect, and then use the Dope Sheet to slide the data you already have into the right place. You don't need to redo the work.
@@BorisFXco Thanks for your reply, although I did, it still failed. But thanks anyway, I think I might need to update my mocha version, I'm using "mocha Plug-ins 2020.5 for Adobe". The only way to solve it now is to update the new version of Mocha, remove the object, render it separately and export it as a video. Forgive me for using google translate, which may lead to grammatical errors.
Hmm. Let's say the sun casts a shadow on to the pavement, I want to move a piece of that shadow. Would the shadow be considered the foreground, and the pavement the background? I have a scene like this set up, so far; I've tracked what piece of the shadow I want gone. I want to remove that piece and replace it with pavement.
If you want to remove the shadow, then it's considered the foreground. As you say, the background is the pavement. You need to track the pavement and put that layer underneath the foreground layer. Exercise 19 of Mocha Essentials goes into a lot more detail on the Remove module if you need more help : borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/
Hey this one help me bit. But im trying to remove object shot in a fpv drone where a dog is still and moving where drone cross over the dog. I did tried same as your video 1st dogs head then whole body but the problem occurs when the camera goes beyond the dog . Then i tried to track ground but couldn't track suoer solid needed some advice thanks. It is low level straight drone shot
This one is better handled in the forums (forum.borisfx.com/ ) so you can post some screenshots of the shot itself. The not-so-secret secret here is to get a good track on the background to drive the actual remove. Once you have that, there are lots of options available. Without a solid background track, you're not going to get a good result.
hey I am trying my best to follow every instruction but still I am having error of Could not Complete Operation "Standard Library Error" please guide me.
This is a question best answered on our forums (forum.borisfx.com) or through Support : borisfx.com/support/open-a-case/ The more detail you can give about your system and the type of footage you are using, the better.
can u send me the link of the footage please?
How to remove not moving object on backround that forgraund person time to time blocks with head or hands ?
You are probably going to be better off just creating a patch to remove the object, basically just a painted still frame. Then mask the person back in over the top on a new layer. If you can use a keyer to bring in most of the head or hands that will help. Otherwise it is a case of sitting down and doing some rotoscoping.
Whenever I try to remove something using Mocha Pro, I always have to make a clean plate first in order to remove the object. This is different from the tutorial shown in the video, where the dog is removed directly and easily. Additionally, with the clean plate, the results are not good; it looks like we are adding a small picture in the video on the part that we want to remove. I have followed all the steps and tried many times, but I don't know exactly what is happening. Please help me fix this problem.
Sounds like a problem that can't easily be solved with a CZcams comment. I'd suggest heading to the forums for a bit of help : forum.borisfx.com/ and share a screen recording of your workflow if you can.
In general with Removes, you will need to have a good track of the background to let Mocha know where to sample the pixels from, and a rough shape around the object you want to remove. The background shape has to be big enough to cover _all_ the area you want to automatically take pixels from. This is usually the biggest mistake people make.
We have other videos here but a forum post with a screen recording is likely to solve your problem faster : czcams.com/video/RySOD17_dm8/video.html
Can you do this is Mocha AE, or do you need Mocha Pro?
You need Mocha Pro for the Remove module. You can find a good feature comparison chart here : borisfx.com/products/mocha-pro/?collection=mocha-pro&product=mocha-pro
Can you please share thr footage link so that we can download and practice the same
We try to supply the projects when we have the rights to distribute the source footage. Sometimes it is not possible to get the proper footage with rights to share it ourselves.
@@BorisFXco thank you so much for your response
hello please can you please help me how to turn on remove option in mocha I am getting only clip, track, adjest, track please tell me the solution please
It sounds like you are using Mocha AE, which is bundled with After Effects. The Remove module is only available in Mocha Pro. Take a quick look at the comparison chart here, and you can also download a free trial of Mocha Pro : borisfx.com/products/mocha-pro/?collection=mocha-pro&product=mocha-pro#compare
would this work with mocha ae as well?
No, the Remove module is only available in Mocha Pro. See here for the differences between the two : borisfx.com/products/mocha-pro/?collection=mocha-pro&product=mocha-pro
Why I can't getting remove a person I doo all the steps in remove I rendered but the person was stick like image didn't removing.. Plzz rply to solve my problem😒😒
It's really hard to offer tech support through CZcams comments. There are just too many variables and steps you may be missing. Post up your question in the Mocha Forums and we can get you squared away. forum.borisfx.com/c/mochapro/
It easy removing soild objects, but hard to remove hairy things
same is true in real life.
there's still a lot of ghosting in the first shot :/
Remove is often the first step in the process. If you want to get 100% perfect results on tricky footage, you may have to do some manual paint or do some extra tweaks afterwards.
im trying to remove an arm the movement is stationary. when i do this it doesnt remove anything
If the are no pixels for Mocha to use automatically, then you'll need to create a cleanplate for it to sample from. Here's an example : czcams.com/video/iM2Mtz3sAV0/video.html&feature=emb_imp_woyt
And here's a link to the full Mocha Essentials course with a whole section about Remove for you : borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/
@@BorisFXco thanks!
i know they are really similar but you should do the tuts on mocha standalone. i dont even use after effects, im a nuke guy xd
You're right, that once you're in the Mocha interface everything is the same, but we should do more host-specific tutorials for the output phase.
Why dont i see any remove option when i open mocha
If you are working with Mocha AE (the version of Mocha that is bundled with After Effects) then you won't see the advanced modules. Those are only available in Mocha Pro.
0:41 it's predogtor
Spooky
i don't click render remove. can help me?
Make sure the layer you want to remove from, has the processing cog turned on in the Layers tab. If you're still having a problem, please post a screenshot of your setup up to the Boris FX forums (forum.borisfx.com)
i need to remove moving object in a video . its my first work from fiverr. please help.
If you already have some experience with Mocha then watch exercise 19 of Mocha Essentials : borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/ Depending on your footage, this could be a straightforward or rather complex job!
@@BorisFXco thank u
can i get a little help please ??
What are you trying to do?
@@BorisFXco i m trying to remove a car from a clip but i v got some issues
Definitely a great idea with a more complex question like this is to hit up the forums : forum.borisfx.com . The CZcams comment section is a bit tricky for that.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
footage 🤔🤔
I don't have that exact clip available, but you can find similar ones to test here : www.pexels.com/search/videos/dog%20running/
Looks like Bird of prey decloaking.
0:41 Predator's dog
:D It's definitely got a style to it.
who would want to remove the dog over the background? too bad there isnt a tutorial for that
That's an excellent point. All tutorials from now on must protect the dog!
6:39 am i the only one who sees that there is someone on the side of the woman face?
Haha! Never seen that before but now cannot unsee it.
