I seriously don't like BJP sharing bed with NCP clan i.e. Ajit Pawar. That guy and his colleagues are known to been neck deep in corruption and simply obnoxious. BJP 'might' do well in LS election, but mark my words, BJP will fall flat on its face in state assembly election with this unholy alliance!

A small addition to the Geographical division. Mumbai and Thane maybe large metros but geographically they are part of Konkan. The sahyadri mountain range divides Maharashtra into 2 macro regions, all the low lying coastal regions are considered Konkan and that includes Mumbai and Thane right from Gujrat border to Goa / Karnatak border. All on the plateau above the sahyadri ranges is "Desh" . This is not known even to most of the Maharashtrians as they think Mumbai is out of Konkan. Kudos to print to have mentioned this point. Thank you .

Analysts think that voters are confused in Maharashtra as they are making it too complicated. I don't think the voters are confused. Divide voters into two categories Pro Modi and Anti Modi. The voters know which candidate is supporting whom very well and will choose 1 out of the 2 available options. It will be easy for the voter as it is a Loksabha election. In Vidhansabha, there will be a lot of confusion due to lack of Modi Factor that comes to around 10% more votes in favour of NDA alliance. I am from Maharashtra and pretty sure that it will be a 38-10 scoreline in favour of NDA in Loksabha. In assembly election, it will be a complete mess. Each faction may get 30-50 seats each with BJP getting around 75-80 but that is just a wild guess

Unlike last 2 elections, this election people are giving importance to Candidates. So I do not see people are divided based on pro or anti-modi. If not, BJP would not have needed to keep 5 phases in Maharashtra and bring Modi, Amit Shah for nearly around every seat to campaign. My estimate is NDA will not cross 30 seats this time in Maharashtra.

@@sar9336 welfare is for marginalised. I think we can agree Muslim are marginalised (poor, less educated, most of doing menial jobs, less women freedom, not proportional representation in higher studies, parliament, bureaucracy) so there is no wrong if there is some scheme which targets Muslims particularly. BJP doesn't do this(so called appeasement in your language).
PM calling Muslims intruder in 2024 (which is settled case after adopting constitution of India in 1950 that every citizen is equal), what more proof you need to believe that he is boasting his core bhakts and doing verbal appeasement to majority.
