I used it to get multiplayer for cheap. I never used it to play new games. Now that it's gone I won't be able to play online anymore.
@StrPH2 I already have one and could get xbox live at any point in time if I really wanted to, but it's just dumb to waste 10€ a month for something that should be free. Also it's more on the expensive side since my country is one of the poorest in the EU.

The reason I got rid of it was because people are making up accounts find a $1 option in playing on their main account with other account with the Game Pass sign in
My Xbox 1 dollar promo glitched out and I was able to keep on buying it on the same account after waiting buy it for 1 dollar get it for a month wait a while and repeat I don't think that was intended. Sad to see it go. I believe that this glitch was from another glitch that caused two accounts to be linked to my one email not sure how that happened but it did and on some devices with my email I would log into one account and on another device it would log into the different account.
I used to do this all the time then it fixed itself so I had to buy it properly now😭

The $1 upgrade on a stacked 3 year gold was the best deal in gaming. I did it the second time two weeks before they got rid of it. No one month free trial will ever be better than 6 years of ultimate for the years of 2 years.
It never got removed for me just shortened from a month to 2 weeks so instead of $1 a month now it’s $2 a month
I always had like 6 accounts to use and I got gamepass for 1 dollar every month. Sad to see it's gone.
I was able to get 7 months worth of trial. 1st when it first came out I go 3 month trial and immediately canceled it. After 3 months for some reason it offered me another 3 months. And then I was able to get 1 month trial lol then I switched to pc, and currently have over 100 games on my steam collection. And with starfields release being on game pass again decided to check out pc game pass just to find out that over 40 games that I have on my steam account is actually offered on game pass.

I did the 36 months thing literally a month ago. Redeemed 11 3 month Xbox Live Gold codes and then 1 3 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
You can actually get points and redeem them if you go into the app with the medal on it and you can redeem those points for whatever your trying to get even the game pass,literally no money needed it’s basically free but you have to work for it.
When i first got game pass I got three months for $6NZD (deal in New Zealand last year over boxing day)
I hate how half the games that some people have are physical discs and can't be installed and then you would have to buy the digital or game pass just to play now

It's shit, but if you find a good deal on buying 3 years of xbl gold, then with an account that has no active game pass subscription, sign up for game pass ultimate for $15. It will convert all 3 years to GPA with an extra $15 (not sure how much usd) them cancel recurring billing, and you still saved a LOT more than if you paid a monthly subscription. I did it recently, GPA until April 2026 baby

A library of 300+ games I've collected over a decade, and I'm leaving it behind that's how fucking tired I am of this bullshit. If they'd just stuck with Xbox Live Gold I'd stay, but paying nearly fuckin $20 a month for games I don't even play compared to $60 for a year of online services, it's no competition. PlayStation is officially better to me congrats Sony.
