"Ekundayo".Oct 2022 marks her 10th month birthday. went further to researched about Madam Ekundayo in the song and my soul was touched with her devotion to caring for abandoned children till she passed on to Glory.

Mama Janet Ekundayo (1917- 2009) Philanthropist & Carer. Hailed as the 'Mother Teresa of Nigeria', with limited education and funds set up the Ekundayo Children's Home in Makutu-Isanlu Kogi State in 1967. As at 2007 over 500 orphans had passed through the Home. She cared for orphans without government assistance up until her death in a road accident in 2009
29th of June, 2022.. the day that this song clicked! I've loved and sang this song since 2008, yet it just hit me today.. let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus...

2022. Who’s still listening?
who is still listening? beautiful song.
See am so! My generation will not give such a song 100 million views, but nonetheless I thank God for the life of Ty Bello and her friend. This is a masterpiece! 👏 To GOD be the glory.
Still loving this song in 2020. Who’s here with me? 💕💕
Here!
this song made me see the bigger picture of life. living without making or being an impact to people is like living purposeless. #Ty Bello on Ekundayo portrayed a bigger picture. #RESPECT
Again I'm surprised this song doesn't get a national publicity
Ty Bello my best Nigerian musician
You can't listen to that song and would not think of your life
Mama ekundayo one of the unsung heroes of our time
I hate the way mama died
But who are we to question God
Who's still listening to this very nice song in 2019?
The message and the uniqueness of the song keeps it green always
Just listened to it again
I am hearing it for the first time in 2020, thanks to H.E. Yemi Oshinbanjo
in 2020
2020 baby
In 2021. This song SET me on the PHILANTHROPIC JOURNEY
There is a reason I am watching this now... my love for orphans and orphanages and a new project we are on... I am inspired by this song and the people in this story...
It always brings tears to my eyes, how someone can live so selflessly. This is the true definition of Love. I'm very inspired.
I'll sure take it up as a challenge and a guide.
I first heard this song as background song for a docu that featured Cobhams and TY Bello as guests, that was 12 years ago. I just randomly remembered the song and I'm here.
I just remembered this song this morning and decided to listen to it. Eventhough I don't understand yoruba but I love and felt the spirit behind the song. I teared....😢
Still listening after all this year
This song and (Mama Ekundayo life) made me realised that there are lives attached to your destiny, that you are some else's divine helper from God.......! Please always help someone in need no matter the situation......! God bless you in doing so Amen 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love this old lady, the sad thing is that nobody would have known her if not for you TY bello, thank you. Am a photographer just like you darling and i think we see the world in a unique way. keep preaching big sister.
Richard Dickson it's true. no one would have known about this. I loved that she made the world aware
One of the most beatiful songs to ever been made in honour of one of the most beautiful of Gods creatures. Tho she's no longer with us, but forever in ourhearts. a NATIONAL TREASURE AND DESTINY HELPER INDEED
2021, still here listening to this piece.
I keep coming, I just keep coming, I can't seem to get over this song... I can't get over it
I must’ve played this song a thousand times a day in 2011
Two years ago i comment on this song , Mama Ekundayo is the hidden treassure with the heart of Gold. People know of her during the end time of her life in this world.continue to rest well.
People like mama ekundayo are very rare in our society, am from Isanlu, I had to visit Nigeria and travelled down to Isanlu in 2009 after stumbling over this touching video, but unfortunately mama died weeks earlier in a motor accident on her way to receive an award as we were told. Sun re abiyamo otito.
The pureness and beauty of this song is just everything
There's something about this song that fits the story it told. Rarely do we get musicians get to set a scene for their sounds. The scene for this song was set to fit. I won't ruin the fun by going without saying how melodious this has been. It never gets old.
I was here in 2022
This song is a masterpiece
If you are in 2020 listening to this, you just found one of the classic of Ty Bello.
14 years after still touching 🥺🥺🥺😭😭
I've watched this video several times but each time I can't stop crying. It makes me think about what's important in life and how we are meant to be sources and channels of blessing. Not only when we have lots of money but even in our "poverty" we can be a blessing. I believed Madam Ekundayo lived a fruitful and fulfilled life. We need to live our lives such that when we are gone, people will be crying but we will be rejoicing as we go to meet our Maker.
Many thanks to Toyin (TY Bello) for being a blessing by bringing Madam Ekundayo and her exploits into limelight. God bless you and your team!
2020 listening like

Our lives simply radiate through the lives of others we help. I cry whenever i listen to this song and it affirms why my parent made such huge sacrifice for me. God bless you Mama and others whom had touched the lives of under-privileged children around the world. 469 children!!! God help me live to bring out joy in others, Amen.
It's 2020 and am watching for the first time. My testimony is sure. Ekun mi ti dayo lo ru Jesu
this is deep, i think one of Ty Bellos finest.. But Mama Ekundayo is the true hero here...
God bless Mosadoluwa ,and the entire crew that put this classic album together.........
Anyone knows the address of the orphanage?
I did a little research on her; and I got this: Isanlu Makutu, Kogi State, not sure of the actual address.
Every time I hear this song, I can't help but cry. Such a wonderful woman to do all that in my society. Rest in peace Madam Ekundayo.
Hi Darey, do you know this woman in person?. I want to know the address of the orphanage.

Why will five people dislike this song.... 😕😒......
Life is too hard for some blind people!
Ayokunle Okungbowa they lack sense, and sense is a 5-letter word. I'm just trying to make sense of their dislike lol

Mama Ekundayo❤
I'm here today, June 30th, 2022
the way she prayed reminds me of the way my grandmother prays for her children and grandchildren even great grand children lol.
Ami!! God bless you guys for showcasing this rare woman! Everyone wants to give birth but who will take care of the ones who are born without parents?
Life was all about me
My life was all about me
Did not see nothing wrong
The life that I lived
Was far from her reality
Don't know how empty I was
Madam your life your heart touched mine
I was struck by the purity of your smile
Now I know
Realise the change I can bring (Change I can be)
To suffering children who've got no home
Pray for me so I can see
Through your eyes(through your eyes)
Ekúndayọ' ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò
Olúwa ló fún mi se
Mo dẹ'le ever before open my door
Jọ'jọ'ló
Do you know beautiful you become
When you make way
For the all little ones
Who otherwise would not have made it through their day
You become a part of their tale
Oh how beautiful are the feet of every man
Who brings tidings of hope to children broken
Blessings from heaven gate
Will shower you every day
Listened to this song several times... but just seeing the video for the first time. It's really touching 😊
MAMA Ekundayo should be awarded MON in Nigeria and recognized by UN for her orphanage in Kogi.
I’m glad to be reminded about this song even at the end of 2021. I remember how emotional I felt back when I first heard it but as with every thing, passage of time tend to cloud our experiences. Glad to come in touch with the song again. Anyone knows how mama is doing now and the current state of that orphanage?
God knows her 😢
@@drnjayy How do you mean, is she dead?
@@festnotfirst Oh no 🤦♀️ I really don’t know

Absolutely wonderful. I love olufunmi but i cant seem to find any of her material online
What a powerful song
I cried as I watched this. Mama Ekundayo...you are an inspiration.
really touchin song
RIP Mama Ekundayo
thanx ty for sharing this with the world. there are still great, kind people out there. thanx for recognizing her efforts. Think of the live's she's touched and changed. God bless her.
I never really thought about it that way but there IS a stigma with adopting in our country...people would rather remain childless for years and years or go to "baba alawo" than adopt...and there are so many abandoned kids...that's so sad!!!
Timeless record! More reason to create art or service that can help the next man/woman feel something special ❤️
Ty Honey, I'm so proud of you! Thanks you so much for having an incredible heart! This song will echo into eternity. Well done Honey....Well Done! I'm so envious of u right now...lol!
