  • Watch a TractionTracks install on an LS180 Skid steer. I switched to these after deciding Grouser tracks are too heavy for a single guy to manage.
Some bonus footage reseating the tires onto the rims.
Paul at TractionTracks was very helpful and answered a lot of my questions before the install.

Did those weights on the back help with lifting ?

Hard to say. It is just a few hundred pounds of weight on a 7k lb machine. I've never operated it without them.
I can say they are handy steps when working over top of the engine.

I have the identical machine I just purchased. I was thinking about buying the grouser tracks also. I was told I need wheel spacer too. Do you think grounders tracks are to heavy for the machine? Should I look for a different brand to buy. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

The grouser tracks are awesome...not too heavy for the machine. Make sure your tires are the exact same size to avoid the issues I had. Grousers are HEAVY....hard to get on/off with 1 guy. I've been super happy with these chain tractiontracks for my use.
This is a great machine...tons of power and has been reliable for me at almost 3k hours.

@@guystuff7942 Thank you. All my tires are 12-16.5. I will double check to make sure they are the same size. So you had different size tires?

They were worn differently so the circumference was different, which cause problems for tracks. Don't combine newer tires with worn down ones.
