It almost ruined me, and then I heard what if we could, and suddenly my life was changed forever. the end helped me get over an ugly divorce, and your new album added on to that. sweet and somber pigeon wings stopped me from having a breakdown at my fathers funeral. I feel this way about every album they did up until sway. I just can't seem to connect with any of his stuff on his last 2 or 3 CDs. I feel bad because I badly want to. But I connect more with his heartbeat and anger and when he's trying to get sober. I'm a heroin addict so I understand addiction very well. It the last 20 years I've spent more time doing dope than I got sober time. I'll get 4 months or so and then I think I can control it and bam I'm back at it. LoL stupid I know. When will I finally learn I'll never be able to control it?? I know this but deep down I don't believe it. The last three years I was cross addicted to heroin and Justins drug of choice which if you don't know it's meth. But I started using both. Shooting them and it almost killed me 3 times in 8 months. I got something called endocarditis and I went septic twice. Had to have my neck fused together because I got an abscess from the meth and it ate away two of my vertabrea almost all the way. Luckily they were able to fuse it with rods and screws. But the doctor said 2 more days and I would of been paralyzed from the neck down. And actually that wouldn't have mattered cus the endocarditis was 12 hours away from killing me. Most people who go septic don't come back. But somehow I did it. The endocarditis ruins your heart valves. And slows it till you die. When they took my blood pressure it was like 55 over 30. He said how are you even awake right now ? I said it must of been that half of a gram of meth I did yesterday lol. And he said honestly that really is what kept my heart going. Not saying meth is good but it saved my ass that time. My pressure was so low they couldn't even get an IV in me cus my veins we're not cooperating. So they had to do something called an IO. Now if you don't know what that is I'll tell ya quick. They drill a whole through your shin into your bone marrow and stick the iv in there. Turns out your bone marrow will work kind of like the blood in your veins. Kinda cool right? Hell NO!!! It facking hurt like hell. Lmao. But they had to get liquids in me fast. When I got to the hospital they put a line in my neck that's about the only good vein I got left. But it was an hour to the hospital so I needed the iv like yesterday. I don't recommend it to anyone else. LoL. Anyway 7 weeks of antibiotics and neck surgery and I got home. Walking with a walker for a few months. And I managed to stay clean 3 weeks. You believe that shit ? The shit almost killed me 3 different ways. And I was right back at it. At first I promised my wife I wouldn't shoot it anymore cus they said that's really what did it. But after a week I was shooting it. Well 2 months later guess what? Back in ICU with endocarditis again. This time it tore my heart valve and I'm going to need it replaced. But since I can't manage to stay clean they won't do it. Cus I'll just fuck it up anyway. Well I guess I'm done rambling for now. But hopefully one day I'll figure it out and finally have a quiet mind. Until then I'm just another chameleon boy.
I love this song especially with Ryan playing violin. I think it is ironic how the lyrics written so long ago has profound meaning to his current life.

To me, It sounds remarkably similar to Street Spirit by Radiohead. That song is a bit more arpeggiated than this, but it's still seems to be a similar chord structure.
