The point of the weight moving forward when you’re pulling it is to help push the blade deeper into the ground thus for, making it harder to pull the farther you go.

on the last run you could see this even, at some point the tractor started slowing down due to the increase in resistence

The coolest part is that these are all REAL pulling tractors. Every engine setup is something that is in use today :)
Yep, you were correct, the weight does move which makes the front of the sled dig into the ground which makes it increasingly more challenging to achieve a "full pul" which is when you reach the full length of the track you're on which is about 300 feet, which is also why you run out of gas so quick as you only need enough to get that far and nothing more.
On hindsight, it makes some kind of sense that the damage model isn’t that great since they are mostly frame, and the frame needs to be sturdy enough to not bend or snap from the torque
The fuel consumption on the turbine model was a super nice detail! While turboshafts are powerful for converting to wheeled propulsion, they are not thrifty to operate!

O.K lets put this in perspective I am hood A$$ street certified been shot stabbed and prison and to clarify I aint bragging bout none of that its actually embarrassing but one thing I can say growing up in North Carolina I have been to over, imma say 150, 200 tractor pulls and I'm not a fan by a long shot. And a magnitude of event and standalones events along with showdowns concluding with the championship events and tournaments happen every year for any occasion in any county down in the south. This is more common that F1 you will have people that know what a pulling rig is over a Indy or F1 and yes all of these engines are real depictions of the real shyt You got Jet Turbine Helicopter Turbine (mostly from Huey's) i have seen 8 motor with 12 oversized farming turbo's I'm talking engines that could spin up a black hole with in the space time continuum. I'm just saying, this is context on the popularity in the south.

The weight moves forward to place more weight on the front to cause the blade to dig in more and more. On a flat hard smooth surface with the weight right above the axel a couple strong guys can pull it pretty easy. But as the weight moves further toward the front the effective resistance in crease. Getting to the end of the marked course with the weight all the way forward is called a full pull. A tractor pull can be won with no tractor getting a full pull but anymore it is rare.
Tractor pulls are typically done in monster truck arenas often times as a lead in to or a intermission to monster truck races free styles etc

craziest tractors I ever saw were, Art Arfonse (sp?)- 4 turbine, Tim Engler-7 big blocks, and Gardener Stone-4 Merlin aircraft engines
I love tractor pulling, the original sled on beam was really bad, not checked out the new one but it looks good, can't wait to try it out
The weights that move as you get farther down the track puts more weight on the rear of the tractor and also makes the blade on the sled dig in, making the tractor work harder till either it stop or its hits the end of the track. I've been to many of tractor pulls and truck pulls. They're really cool to see. Recommend checking it out. The turbine tractors are insane!

its so 2 engines can tie into a single gearbox...these tractors are engineering marvels if you dig deep into them

I remember a tractor pulling event I attended back in the 1980s. The track was very muddy, and most of the audience was sprayed when they loudly passed us. 😂

Every weekend during pulling season. The counterweight on the pulling sled moves forward to take weight off of the wheels of The sled to put weight on the flat PAN. And the rear of the tractor

I have watched CZcams videos of tractor pulling. There are some very weird tractors that take part in these competitions and they are incredible to watch while pulling heh heh 😄

tractor pulls are fun till its midnight and your cold and muddy
these engines are usually designed for like 12 seconds , tops. Gardner Stone said to stop the pull at 10 seconds whether the pull was done or not so he wouldn't grenade a motor

Yes, the weight moves to make it harder because the closer the weight gets to the backend of the tractor. The more it digs the front end of the trailer end of the ground to create more resistance.

There are different types of pulls, but the common tractor pulls are done on dirt, not mud. The dirt surface is reworked between every run for fairness.

I actually went to a tractor pull event in the Netherlands with these kind of tractors, and it's pretty darn cool just looking at the pure power of those machines.

You need to roll into power way slower. Else you just spin up and dig, especially in dirt. The turbine powered ones are also backwards compared to how they usually mounted. They mount with the exhaust infront, still firing up which provides some extra force instead of using ballast. But also to keep the exhaust from just melting your face off. I am surprised the modder actually made the sled move. Cannot tell if the wheels lift or not though.
No, you're not suppose to be destroying your engine, those things are super expensive. Same is true for dragsters. This mod is simply not cooling the engine enough (or at all it seems for some).

I've seen these run in sled pulling events in real life and their insane the V8 pickup trucks are extremely insane it feels like the rpm you feel in your chest is going to make your chest explode outward my dad has the videos
The weight increases as it moves forward I grew up in an area where this is a regular event
for those using the metric system (most of the world):
8000 lbs = 3628,7 kg
16000 lbs = 7257,4 kg
22000 lbs = 9979 kg
35000 lbs = 15875,7 kg

300 ft is considered a full pool and the weight on the further ahead it goes the harder it gets to pull

The reason of the weight moving forward is the faster and the far you get along the track the weight goes forward forward so it creates friction on the floor so it makes it harder for it to go down the track and that’s why you see the engines, explode or other shitso yeah watch you. I’m suprised you didn’t know this exsisted we have them in my area pretty often they’re more common in the Midwest though and the ones I’ve been too they are mostly all on dirt I’ve never seen them on any other surface and they’ve been actual supued up tractors nothing crazy like those stripped down frame ones

Don’t know what it’s called but the thingy that moves forward is like a big ice cube tray full of cement blocks. As it moves forward it shoves the lower blade into the ground making more friction
actually as the weight transfer block moves to the top of the sled, it trips a switch which extends Teeth from the bottom of the pan to stop the tractor
